Pre-COVID I liked this place. Decent food. The lines were always crazy long, but the food was worth it. Now, I went to pick up food that I ordered for pickup so that I don't expose myself to the countless people in Rancho who are COVID-deniers, as I am high risk. I saw the building packed inside and out with people. The markers on the floor for 6 feet distancing were never acknowledged nor were the two papers taped to the host desk. The papers and markers were purely for compliance but clearly are never enforced. One of the papers read that only at the table can a patron take off their mask, but everywhere else, they must wear it. As I waited in line for 15 minutes to pick up my food I saw numerous customers walking around the establishment without a mask on. Clearly Kickback Jack's does not care about the health and well-being of their workers nor their customers. And the cherry on top: my order was cold and incorrect. read more

PORTION SIZE WAS GREAT! I got the chilaquiles & they looked amazing but the sauce they put on them did not wow me whatsoever! The chicken was cubed which was another negative not to mention tasteless....I could have done without it. Rice & beans yummy....but I will definitely not order this plate again! A hidin gem. Got a deal off of Groupon and decided to check them out. The portion sizes are huge. There coffee is good and i love the variety of creamers. I ordered the bacon sampler. It came with eggs, homestyle potato and of course bacon. I also got sourdough toast. Hubby got the French toast and chicken apple sausage. I gave hubby my eggs since i dont eat them. I loved their 2 large flapjacks. Each was good enough to feed two people and so, 2 large flapjacks could potentially feed 3-4 people. If you are into chocolate chip or pecan pancakes, then ditch IHOP for that one and get the two large flapjacks from this place. Instead of being wowed, it was total disappointment. Yes, the portion was big but won't matter if we didn't eat much of because the quality wasn't there. Our approximate wait time was about 30 minutes but they provide free coffee and an air conditioned room to wait in while you are called which is a plus. I ordered the country breakfast meal and my mom ordered the Santa fee skillet. Both were delicious and the biscuits and gravy were out of this world. Long story short, I ordered a basic two egg breakfast, to be specific it's called bacon and eggs off the menu(pict). The food was good, restaurant was roomy and I guess the decor was ok. Waitress was ok, i think they were closing in half hour so she left the check on the table(hint maybe). I didn't really care for the $13.5 breakfast plate. As a small child whenever I got in trouble (pretty often) my mother would threaten to send me to Cucamonga if I didn't behave, to straighten me out. Ordered corned beef hash & eggs, bahama mama scramble and fresh berries golden brown waffle. Corned beef hash & eggs ($10.99): corned beef and potatoes with seasonings served with egg any style with three flap-jacks. My corned beef is way too salty but I like its creamy scrambled egg. The pancakes are surprisingly good. Bahama mama scramble ($10.99): sausage diced and mixed with scrambled eggs, crispy country potatoes, diced bell pepper, green onion and tomato, topped w jack and cheddar cheese, avocado and sour cream w corn bread. This mama is kinda yum. Fresh berries & sliced banana golden brown waffle ($7.99): my niece complained that it's mushy and not good. This girl loves almost everything and she doesn't usually complain about anything. I tried her waffle and I had to agree with her. And there are plenty of thick chunks of tender, delicious pot roast served atop a bed of potatoes, and scrambled amongst an assorted array of diced veggies typically found amongst breakfast scrambles or omelettes (onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, et al.) And for those of you who love cheese, there is plenty of cheese served atop as well. I have a picture of what I ordered affixed, but it isn't a very good picture. There was so much gooey cheese melted on top of my scramble, that I couldn't capture the decadent beauty that lay within. I guess I could have taken a photo of a forkful of the scramble, or a photo of within. But once I start eating, I'm done taking photos. read more

I have been here twice and each time I had a great experience. Each aspect, the wait time for a table, the experience with the servers, and the delicious food were exceptional. My girlfriend and I went for breakfast around 10:45 on a Sunday, and as to be expected, they were a little busy. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated, which was a reasonable amount of time. Once seated we were greeted by a very nice and energetic server and I wish I could remember her name to compliment her. I ordered the Hot & Zesty Sausage Patty Scramble which, like the name suggests, comes with Hot & Zesty sausage patty diced and mixed with scrambled eggs, crispy country potatoes, black olives, fresh basil, diced tomatoes and onions, topped with shredded Jack and Cheddar cheese and Spanish sauce. My girlfriend ordered the Breakfast Pan-Jack which was a very large, very thin Pan-Jack served in a skillet topped with 3 eggs scrambled with choice of diced ham, sausage or bacon, Jack and Cheddar cheese, topped with ripe avocado and sour cream garnish. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent! This is a great place for brunch for small or large groups. It has just about everything your little heart can desire with an extensive selection of breakfast options that are sure to please your inner fatty. I wish I would of been able to sample everything on the menu but that just wasn't going to happen so I ordered the chilaquiles and their super homefries that are topped with cheese bacon bits and some chives and my girl ordered the bahama mama skillet and blueberry pancakes, needless to say we could not finish the food due to the large portions they serve. Met up with my girly friend here for breakfast/lunch. When I arrived, it was quite busy, with a small line forming (even on a weekday). Some of the peeps in line started complaining, but the staff were quick to take action and get everyone seated. Patience is a necessity here. I had some time to peruse the menu while I waited for my friend and found some really fun, non-alcoholic drinks. My pick of the day was a Hot & Spicy Bloody Mary--it came garnished with a celery stick, strip of bacon, and a grilled jalapeño. Excellent presentation and it tasted terrific but I had to save half of the grilled jalapeño for my lunch because it was fire! My friend picked a drink mixed with POM juice and something else --very healthy and generous pour. In case you get sticker shock when you see prices of $12 or so for breakfast plates or sandwich plates, keep in mind the meals tend to be gigantic here. These plates can be shared or you can pig out on your own or take home leftovers. Thank goodness they have recognized that one doesn't always want to pig out, so they do have a "just right" menu and everything on that menu is of a more reasonable portion size. I ordered off that menu and it was still quite a bit of food (see picture). My pick was half a turkey and blue cheese sandwich with salad, and it comes with fries. It was pretty good. My friend had the biscuits and gravy plate and one pancake. I tasted and it was good, but biscuits and gravy is not really my thing. However, what is my thing is chips and salsa! My friend kept telling me they had great chips and salsa here, and in my mind I was thinking it would be what you usually get at a Mexican restaurant. Instead, to my surprise, the chips were genuine potatoes, sliced and freshly fried up to make potato chips. Served with a mild salsa (I like hotter stuff). Yum! Super yummy! One of the better places to eat for breakfast here. We don't have many great breakfast diners or places that aren't a chain. They have big portions, if you're not a big eater or want to share...I highly encourage it! I love all the skillets. I suggest the smoked bacon one skillet! SOO delicious but soooo giant! My boyfriend are his whole meal and then most of mine cause I could not finish it. It was so large. Service is always good. Denny's, IHOP, and other sit-down diners are pretty much the same, but BC Cafe is one of the uniques ones because they close at 3pm. Their foods are great! very delicious and they serve you a lot. The owner greets you once you enter the restaurant and the servers are very friendly and really helpful. I usually don't give tips or I give 10% maximum but everytime I eat here I give $5 minimum tip. I highly recommend this place for all those people who love THE MOST IMPORTANT MEAL OF THE DAY...but you gotta be there no later than 3pm! read more

This location is far better than the one in Claremont. It's far cleaner than the other location and has a much nicer waiting area. On a crowded Sunday morning the waiting area will run out of coffee and when you tell the hostess about it they don't bother to come refill it even when it slows down. The food at any Kick Back Jack's is the same: it's more about loading your plate with a huge portion than the food tasting more than something you could have made in your own kitchen. They give you a lot of food on your plate, way more than you can probably finish, but you'll have to put salt and pepper, or hot sauce because it'll be lacking a lot of flavor. The service isn't anything spectacular but it was adequate. #90/100 read more

Holy moly did someone say pancakes? I read and have heard about the pancakes, however I was not prepared for the size and fluffiness of these pancakes. I ordered the ham and egg breakfast with the option of a short stack, which consisted of 3 HUGE pancakes. All were very good. The country fried steak was enormous, enough for two meals and the Chilaquiles was excellent. I have never heard of sweet potato hash, so my family ordered some and was impressed. The staff was very friendly and on top of things. I will say perhaps TOO on top of things, that at some times it was almost bothersome. However I will take the latter considering many places these days hardly offer good service. Dine or Dash? I will dine again, and be better prepared to share the meal with someone, as the portions are huge. read more

Finally got around to trying Kick Back Jack's this weekend. It's been in my bookmarks for over 3 years! My first impression was that the atmosphere was very welcoming. The restaurant is very spacious. I've found that most of those good breakfast spots are crowded, but that wasn't the case here. You don't feel like you're sitting on top of everyone. The food was great. I ordered a breakfast plate with two Louisiana hot links, scrambled eggs, & three pancakes. My hubby ordered the Meat Lovers omellette and upgraded his side of potatoes to the "super home fries" for an extra $5. Everything was good, I just wish I'd ordered the omellette instead because it was so delicious! The super home fries were good but I probably wouldn't order them again. For my drink I ordered their fresh pineapple-strawberry-orange juice, and my goodness it was amazing! I wish they had champagne so I could enjoy it as a mimosa! I'll definitely be back anytime I'm in Rancho and have time for breakfast. I highly reccommend if you enjoy breakfast. read more

Kick Back Jack in Rancho cucamonga is a sister restaraunt to BC Cafe in Claremont. Both offer big quantities at reasonable prices. The food and service are both great. We went Saturday morning for breakfast and we knew the portions were huge. So my wife and I ordered the Sante Fe Skillet. It was full of veggies, potatos, and pot roast. Everything was so balanced and just tasted great. The Caramel Pecan Waffle was good. It missed a little light crunch from the waffle that I always look for. The Caramel sauce made it oh sooo good. I ate as much as I could but after stuffing myself it still looked like I hadn't eaten any! So delicious too. My date ordered the stuffed French toast and he ate the whole thing but was still hungry afterward. He did say it was delicious. The service was fast and friendly but it wasn't a busy day. I have to say this has been my favorite breakfast place in Rancho Cucamonga, even before it was Kickback Jack's & was BC Cafe.
