The name is misleading and upon first glance it looks like they have a lot of vegan options, but lots of them are salads. I did enjoy my hummus and the gyro was decent, just disappointed there wasn't more to choose from. When we came here (it's an hour away from me), they told us we didn't have a reservation at that location when we did. They ended up giving us a table because someone else cancelled. My friends and I went to KidCashew today Sunday- December 18th in Sandy Springs, GA. The service was slow but the food presentation seemed lovely, until my friend found a MAGGOT in the Salad. Due to the slow service, my friend approached the server who immediately reported this to the manager. The manger took his time to sat a table then walked back and forth before addressing this very urgent issue. When he came to our table, he didn't ask to see the INSECT, he DID NOT APOLOGIZE, he looked confused and said he can discount it or we can leave. This was absolutely disrespectful and UNPROFESSIONAL. The table next to us was curious and asked what was wrong. We told them about the Maggot in the salad. Upon leaving the manager got Very Irate, cursing with explicits saying we were disruptive and we should leave his F##king restaurant/ property. Our first and last experience altogether was a disaster. If the kitchen staff had washed the salad and the manager was professional with his attitude and be empathetic this would have gone differently. This was absolutely NASTY! This place makes me want to move back to Atlanta. It is the ideal lunch/brunch place. You can eat healthy or be super indulgent. I went kinda in between -- shared a platter of hummus spreads followed by a Greek salad. People I ate with did the "order two" which I highly recommend and may do next time. There was a lot of variety. We were there for a weekday lunch so really important to get fast service which we did. Really cheerful environment too. I'm sure it's great for dinner, but feels very "lunch forward". I would be remiss if I didn't mention their superb vegan menu. Lots of choices. Ideal for vegans/non-vegans dining together as most restaurants tend to favor one over the other. First time trying this place, about an hour ago. I walk in and state it's my first time to the hostess at the front. I tell her I don't eat red meat or pork and ask for suggestions. Another young lady advised that Apple Pay can be taken but I had to pay it at the station that was right in front of the kitchen. FIX THIS! Put a contactless payment option at the front door where I placed my order please! I sit at the table directly facing the open-faced kitchen. The workers must've forgotten that they are, in fact, in front of customers...so cussing (and I mean HARD CUSSING) in Spanish, can be heard and actions can be SEEN! FIX THIS & BE PROFESSIONAL!! Here's my take on the menu selections: Cilantro-lime marinated chicken skewers: They we're tasty but were cold when I drove 10 minutes back home. I expected them to be room temp, maybe? They seemed to have a chill to them, which said to me they were not hot when they were handed to me. Brussels sprouts: I enjoyed them and that hint of lemon. There were too many nuts included. A sprinkling is all that's needed cuz I could've made a snack out of the nuts alone...and I did! I guess I can't complain about getting a 2'fer so...keep piling on the nuts! They were still very warm when I got home. Mac n Cheese: Not bad, I'd get it again cuz it's definitely better than most places when you just want a little taste of it. I have driven past Kid Cashew a few times and finally got the opportunity to dine here with a few friends on Friday night. Kid Cashew has a warm and welcoming ambiance with super friendly staff. Our server, Bianca, was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and made great recommendations. We started off with drinks and their spread trio, which included three dips/spreads: hummus, spicy feta, and tzatziki. The trio came with pita, but I honestly could have happily eaten the dips with a spoon. They were so incredibly fresh and flavorful. The spicy feta was my personal favorite with a slight kick and a creamy consistency. Overwhelmed by all the delicious choices, we ordered a few small plates and an entree to share as a table. Cilantro-Lime Marinated Chicken Skewers: this came with avocado cream that they graciously put on the side because I am allergic to avocados. However, the chicken was marinated perfectly and moist. Lamb Skewers: I love lamb and these skewers were super delicious and cooked to perfection. Asparagus: This dish was my favorite behind the chicken and lamb. The grilled asparagus had a subtle bitter taste with the lemon-dijon vinaigrette that accompanied it. Meatball Au Poivre: I will not lie. This presentation of this dish was not the best, but it tasted a lot better than it looked. Still a fairly average meatball though. Mac and cheese: The Mac and cheese was decent, but definitely not the best. Brussel sprouts: I typically love Brussel sprouts, but these lacked flavor unfortunately. Among the four of us, no one felt enticed enough to finish the Brussel sprouts. I cannot quite remember what the dessert was called, but it reminded me very much of a baklava. Fairly sweet but the perfect end to the meal. Overall, with the exception of a few dishes, I was very impressed with Kid Cashew and look forward to visiting again soon. read more

I ordered Uber eats, so this review is strictly for the food. Woke Fire Grilled Spanish octopus- SO GOOD. the octopus was tender and flavorful. I would definitely order again. Chilled wood fire beets- I love all the ingredients of this dish individually, and while good something was missing for me. Lamb burger- everything I wanted it to be! From the red onion marmalade to the tzatziki this burger was a hit! I love a good lamb burger and this definitely delivered. Tried out the new Kid Cashew on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. Delicious food with many options for vegans and vegetarians, which is often limited at most restaurants. This is a sit down place with servers, and they have a heated patio that faces Roswell Road, and ample parking. Roswell Road is busy, but the patio is above street level. The polenta was excellent, mac n cheese delicious, and the Impossible Gyro was tasty, but would have been better and more authentic with some raw onions and a bit more cucumber sour cream sauce.
