I found out about this place less than a year ago and I've already made numerous catering orders! I'm guilty of calling the day before for some orders But Katie is super polite and so accomodating! Don't be afraid to ask any questions you have. She is experienced with party orders, so she can tell you how much you should order, if it's enough food for your party, etc. I would know because I asked her those questions and she was spot on! :) I know there are many other places in the area that does catering as well, but I haven't tried them because I just think of how efficient and nice Katie is and I feel so comfortable ordering with her. She texts me the confirmation of my order, and it's in the prettiest and most organized invoice I have ever seen. Everything is just well done! You must try their fish sauce chicken wings!!! Every time I pick them up, I can't help sneaking a bite while driving to the party lol. I also love ordering the lotus salad and egg rolls. My family loves salads, so we usually get the medium size trays. The salads still taste so good the next few days. Pictures of the pate so look so good but I actually haven't been able to try it yet because I order too much of everything else! lol I hope to try it one day soon. We just catered for our baby shower today (5/31/25) and cannot recommend Kim Huong enough. We placed our order 2 weeks in advance and Katie was extremely responsive through texting throughout the ordering process. She was able to accommodate some last minute changes to our order which was so sweet and helpful. Kim Huong can be found in the same large plaza as ABC Supermarket, specifically in the corner by the eye laser center and La Vie En Rose Bakery & Coffee. Because my husband and I were shopping in Orange County, we decided to try this place (as it was on my Yelp bookmarks). We were greeted by a very nice and friendly employee behind the register (this woman speaks both English and Vietnamese by the way). This was our first time here and so I just randomly picked up some of the premade foods on the counter and my husband also ordered a few items from the menu. We ended up purchasing: Banh Bot Loc (Clear Dumpling w/ Shrimp & Pork), $15- I've never had this time of dumpling before, but I really liked it. The skin or dumpling wrapper is clear and a bit chewier and thicker than traditional dumpling wrappers. In each dumpling was a shrimp and some ground pork. I can tell that these type of dumplings take a bit of time to make. In the container I purchased, there really was a lot inside and can see why it cost $15. The container could easily feed 3-4 people. Both my husband and I really liked it. Please note that each layer (there were about 2) are covered in plastic wrap and can get a little messy. I would order this again. Nem Cuon (Charbroiled Pork Spring Roll), $6- Good spring rolls, very tasty. Ca phe sua da- Unfortunately I do not know the price of this item. But but my husband liked his drink and thought it was as good as any other place for his Vietnamese coffee (I'm not a coffee drink so I didn't get one). #3 Banh Mi Dac Biet- The house special banh mi, I also did not get the price of this item (my husband was the one who was paying). I didn't have any since I ate the other items we purchased but my husband liked the sandwich and also thought it was good. Service was quick and friendly. If I lived closer, I would definitely be a regular. I would also come here to pick up food for family parties and friend get togethers. If you're anywhere near Little Saigon you have to try Kim Huong!! It's the perfect place to get your Vietnamese bites to go. The pork pate is an absolute must DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT GETTING SOME. We ordered 14 and then immediately regretted not getting more so we went back and they were already sold out before we left the plaza. We waited for the next batch to be done before actually leaving the parking lot. Definitely recommend pre ordering to ensure you get some. The bun bao is nothing like any other bun baos even the bun had flavor most times it just tastes so plain but this one was amazing with the filling have a great taste and flavor. I came by to order some banh beo. The girl that was working there spoke both Vietnamese and English. She was very helpful and very sweet. I decided to order of 50 banh beo. It was ready in 15 minutes. I was so impressed. Each banh beo was sizeable and topped with dry shrimp, onions, and mung beans. The fish sauce was also included. I really enjoyed them for dinner for the next few evenings. They stayed good in the fridge. Yes, they harden a little bit but the microwave can soften them really quickly. The next time I'm in Westminster, I plan to drop by to pick up other items. Oh, and since it was my first time there, I was given a really yummy treat. I appreciated that gesture. read more

Checked Kim Huong out this past week upon recommendations from friends/family. I used to stop by this plaza in the morning for Viet Iced Coffee and pate chaud/xoi from Van's Bakery nearby - never noticed this shop sorta tucked away in the corner by Bank of America. The parking lot is sorta hectic once businesses start to open up - and it's a nightmare during the weekends. Thankfully, I stopped by early on a weekday morning, and sorta came around from the back - so no issues there. It's a really small footprint, but they make good use of their space. There's a variety of prepared food as you walk in - and all the prices are clearly labeled - so no guessing game, or random calculations from the cashier (you know what I mean if you've been to other food-to-go places in the area). I love their selection of foods - I picked up a plate of xoi man (savory Vietnamese sticky rice) - $7, goi cuon (spring rolls) - $6, a banh bao (steamed bun) - $3.50, and a Cafe Sua Da (Vietnamese iced coffee) $3.50. Total was $20 even. A great deal for breakfast and lunch! The xoi man was great - I like how soft and moist the rice was. It wasn't dry at all like some premade xoi I've had. Good portion of sausage, eggs and chicken meat. Spring rolls were great - the sauce was awesome - the ricepaper was definitely fresh. The banh bao had a good proportion of dough to filling. Viet iced coffee was yummy - it had good staying power too - the strong flavor was still there even an hour after I had taken my first sip. Update(10/20/24): I went back this (Sunday) early morning to pick up more goodies and ran into Katie - who was friendly and cheerful, and remembered me from a few days ago when I stopped by for the first time to pick up goodies (they were out of pate chaud then). She told me they just finished a batch of pate chaud - so I happily ordered a couple. I can taste upon the first few bites why Kim Huong's pate chaud stands out above the competition. Not only is there a generous meat to crust ratio - but the buttery, flaky crust offers a rich foundation for the delicious pork meat filling inside. The pate chaud was both great hot - and I finished the remaining bites a few hours later - and they were just as good. Definitely worth the hype, definitely worth the wait. Call ahead for their pate chaud since they do sell out. I was told that people do call in to reserve just a few bites (although they definitely recommend it for large orders, too). They also have a variety of che available in guilt-free portioned cups - $1.75 each. A new favorite Vietnamese food to go spot! read more

We were bummed but Katie was so sweet and apologetic. I asked if she could recommend it from anywhere else as it was our last day in town. That fact that she was so quick and happy to send customers to other businesses and seemed genuinely disappointed she couldn't help us, proves what kind of business they are. First time trying out bahn goi, it's like empenadas filled with ground meat & mushrooms and what also made it delicious was the mochi-like texture of the bread. I got there late around 2pm so they didn't have much left at the time so it's better to order the day before so they could make em and reserve it for you. My favorite also was the lotus salad -- sooo flavorful & refreshing! I ordered a large tray and my family and I finished every bite of it lol. I also got 2 dozen steamed buns and a bag of frozen eggrolls that way I could fry them myself at home whenever I want it. They also have this dish wrapped in green leaves like Filipino tamales or salvadorian tamales but of course it has different ingredients/fillings that's to die for! I stopped in to KHFTG to pick up fresh put the oven Paté Chaud (Paté So) rice cakes fried with egg, banh bao and spring rolls. I didn't take her word for it when she asked me "are you sure you don't want more than 6 path chaud?" "No I'm fine! They're mostly for my dad." She gave me napkins in case I was trying them in the car and threw in "I have a feeling you'll be back" well I should've listened!!! They were amazing! Unfortunately we had been throughout OC all day! And never made it back. But! It definitely was bookmarked for my next trip to OC since I live here In the San Fernando Valley. The Paté Chaud never made it to dad. When I got home late that night I threw them in the fridge. And TBH I wasn't able to get to them until literally a week later! But I threw them in the air fryer and warmed them up, they were still AMAZING 1 WEEK LATER!!! I'm a fan. I was able to stop by again today. I called ahead and bought the last 7 they had! My mom recommended Kim Huong for banh chung & banh tet for lunar new year so we gave them a shot. We called in pretty last minute to see if we can get any banh tets to enjoy with family. Risky move waiting til the last minute to order as the process is tedious and people often sell out around lunar new yr. Great customer service. Thank you for your help, Katie! It was our first time ordering from here for my Mother In Law's birthday. We ordered a tray of prawns and a tray for her stir fry noodles. We came here based on the reviews and am glad we gave Kim Huong a try. I will say, their price point is a bit higher compared to other food to go places down Bolsa or Westminster, so definitely do your due diligence if you're on a budget. The prawns were a hit at the party, simply because of the size of the prawns, but I don't think I would order the prawns again there were comments at the party that the prawns were a bit on the bland size. Other than that, the noodles were decent, but I did notice the shrimp had food coloring, so that was a bit disappointing. If you haven't tried this place, I would suggest giving them a try as your flavors profile might like their style of cooking. We try to go to various food to go places to support all the local businesses. Their shop is in the corner of the ABC supermarket center, next to Bank of America. If you're from the Westminster area, you'll know exactly where I'm talking about. Last tip, if you're pre ordering for a party, make sure to bring money to put down for your deposit. I came here for lunch on Sunday afternoon and I placed a phone order because I was wanting some pate so. Seeing the pate so from the images here, I wanted to try it for myself. I have tried a lot of pate so from the Bay Area (Oakland) and a few in OC and I have to say this was the best I've ever tried! We were greeted by the most friendly staff and I felt very welcomed. The regular com chien was good when you had a portion with all the toppings. It seems like you get a base layer of rice without any toppings stirred in and the toppings are all placed at the top, so what you see is what you get. It would be nice if there were more toppings mixed in as there were many bites where you just had rice due to the portioning.
