This place is an absolute hidden gem that was discovered through Yelp! They have the best pate chaud ( meat pies) because they don't skimp on the meat. All the items on the table are also very fresh and delicious! I tend to try different items each time I visit I appreciate the fact that they have prices labeled. (I've been to too many Vietnamese shops where they make up the price as you bring the item to the register and it's pretty obvious. Been going to this place for the past 1-2 years since moving beyond Banh Mi Che Cali. For one, they are much less crowded and much more accessible, parking lot can still be rough on the weekends. But the food is good, and I like the way they separate the banh beo in layers, makes it much less soggy. They're eggrolls and pate chaud are delicious, so I am told, it seems to sell out often. Some of my favorites are the small sesame balls and the gio/pork sausage is pretty good for its fair pricing. I come here every now and then for easy take out, and food stocking in the case that I know I would be too busy from work to make my own food. The banh bot loc, wrapped in banana leaves is my favorite Vietnamese appetizer/snack ever and this place makes it pretty tasty as the pork is seasoned. We also recently had a very simple catered baby shower, and for the millennial and gen z, Katie is incredibly easy to talk to and very accessible as she takes text messages, and communicates very clearly about the order. I love their customer service, and she's really good at managing the front; I appreciate the business for how easy it is to get my order and how excellent the service is every time. Well overdue review! I should've left a 5 star review the minute I walked out the door the first time I stopped by. Every single time, everyone is super nice and more importantly the food never disappoints! I initially stopped by since it's hard to find banh hoi but this lovely spot sells it by the party platter and it's delicious! This was 4+ years ago now and it's never let me down Accepts credit card but I recommend cash since it's gets pretty busy depending on the time, so anything to help them out and not slow them down. Plenty of the employees speak english so don't be intimidated by the language barrier. Calling a day ahead to place an order is best. Once I even ordered the day of! Called at 11am and got it at 5pm, will not recommend doing this but just trying to show the level of service they offer and provide. Banh nam, banh beo, banh bot loc, com chien (fried rice), mi xao (stir fry noodles), egg rolls, che, banh bao, fried chicken, I've tried most of the food here over the years. They do accept credit cards as a deposit which is a plus, but when you go to pick up and pay the rest of the balance- bring cash. I was looking for a grab-and-go party tray place for July 4th and my friend recommended this place. Katie who took my order was awesome. She was super friendly while taking my order down and explaining the different prices and sizes they offer. Best customer service! Pre-ordered some party trays for the first time. Came on a rainy Sunday so it wasn't too busy inside. It's located in the same plaza as ABC supermarket and there's a lot of parking available. When we came to pick up the trays, it was busy in the store so make sure to pre-order in advance. Katie was assisting me and she's so sweet!! She provided her honest opinion about her favorite items and how many to order for our family gathering. I also don't speak Vietnamese so I was happy Katie was there to assist. We ordered the following items: -Fried Rice - Lotus Salad - Steam rice cake with pork - Banh Beo - Combination stir fry egg noodle - Egg rolls Everything was delicious! I would definitely recommend the steam rice cake with pork. The pork was tasty and had a nice char flavor. It's also different from other Vietnamese catering spots and it was the first time my family has seen it at a party. Fried rice was also good. I believe it had fried chicken pieces on the top. You can also never go wrong with the combination stir fry noodles. The egg rolls were $1 each and they were super hot when we got them, which was great, but it became soggy fast and was no longer crispy after an hour. However, I put them in the air fryer the next day and it was better. Banh Beo was good, but they did stick to each other so it was hard to pick up individual pieces. I drove all the way from Loma Linda(IE Area) just to try their nem chua! The food was super delicious and they have a WIDE variety of other vietnamese dishes wrapped and ready to go! The woman who picked up was so sweet and accommodating. I could tell it was going to be a busy weekend for them and the woman told me to give her my order and she will see if she will be able to do it. I did and she said it wouldn't be a problem to pick up the next morning. Perfect! Upon coming to pick up at 10:30a, everything was ready. The woman (I really wish I got her name!) was meticulous in double checking my order. All the food was SO GOOD. The one dish I will do without next time is the banh bot loc. Throwing a family gathering or party is stressful. I turned to Kim Huong for catering for my son's birthday. Luckily the person on the phone spoke english and was super patient! I didn't get her name but she was very sweet as I was juggling two kids while trying to get prices. I am so lucky and grateful that she was able to squeeze in our order 2 days before the party. Do I recommend doing that? Absolutely not! However, I applaud them for being flexible. Prices of the trays vary depending on the item but all the prices are reasonable. We ordered: 50 pieces of banh beo for $16 50 pieces of fried chicken wings for $80 50 pieces of egg rolls for $1 a piece Stir fried egg noodle (mi xao) large tray for $65 They take card and take down a deposit over the phone. Everything was made fresh to order and piping hot when we picked up. They sent us home with che but I forgot it at the store since I had my 2 year old in the car! They called and notified me but I couldn't turn around :( Definitely will try it next time! IMO! My mom is insistent about cooking when we have a party because she prefers her cooking and brought over a dish to our party. No one really touched it because they loved the food we bought! This past weekend, I got the Banh Cuon ($7), Banh It Tran ($5), Banh Coc ($5), Nem Cuon ($6), and Grilled Pork Banh Mi ($6). My mom loved everything this time. Banh Cuon - they make the steamed rice flour wrap smooth and perfect. The ngoc mam sauce was really good. I highly recommend getting this. The only thing I'm not used to is the square/rectangular shape, which is very different from the rolls I'm used to. Personally, the shape matters for sauce-dunking and easy-biting purposes, but, again, it's a personal opinion. Banh It Tran - I came back for this and, I thought, only this! But I'm glad I tried other items. This is still my absolute favorite though. Get this if you like a savory mochi. Banh Coc - It's sort of like Banh it Tran, but the mochi is green and it is surrounded by sticky rice. Also highly recommended for sticky rice and mochi lovers. Note that this is savory. Nem Cuon - fresh veggies and marinated grounded pork warpped in rice paper. This was so good and so fresh! When I arrived, they were making it. Katie gave me a sample to try and it was so delicious! I ordered 3 rolls and ate it for breakfast. The sauce was thick, tasty, and addictive. Grilled Pork Banh Mi - I thought this was good. If you're hosting an event, Kim Huong is a must-have one-stop shop. I catered from here for a 90-person tea ceremony and could not be happier with the food and overall experience. Food: They had it all: egg rolls, pâté sô, gỏi, cơm chiên, bánh cuốn, chicken wings, sesame balls, and individual-sized portions of chè. They were also very accommodating with non-meat options. Portions were generous and there was more than enough food for everyone. Most importantly, everyone loved it. You know the food's good when all the older Vietnamese guests are genuinely complimenting it and going back for seconds (and thirds). Service: Katie was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was responsive, transparent, extremely organized, and genuinely cared. She answered every question I had, made honest recommendations about dishes and portions, and ensured everything was perfectly ready the day of the event. Pricing: Extremely fair. I told Katie how many people we had, and she suggested the right portions. I even tried adding more items, but she told me we probably didn't need that much food and she was right, we had plenty of leftovers. Overall: 10/10.
