    Aguachiles verdes and camarones zarandeados

Lina always provides amazing service and has such an outstanding attitude. Her customer service truly makes every visit enjoyable. The food is consistently delicious my personal favorite is the aguachiles verdes, and the micheladas are just as good! This is hands down one of the best seafood boils in the Coachella Valley. It's become one of my favorite spots to come dine with family. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't tried it yet!

Best seafood boil in the desert! I'll keep coming back for more :) Great service by great servers. Great ambience, always busy and welcoming. We always get the mixed bag Kimkey style and mild. It's the perfect amount of heat for me.

The mix bag special with crawfish, crab legs, and mussels

We ordered a mix bag and added a pound of crawfish, mussels, and snow crab legs and it was so good. We ordered it medium heat, Kimkey style and it was delicious. Definitely the best in the desert. Along with their selection of mariscos? We also ordered Cajun fries and some agua Chiles verdes. Their food was so good. The shrimp in the agua chile did taste a bit frozen but other than that, everything was very good. The servers were also very nice and welcoming. Will be coming back soon. Loved the vibe overall.

First time trying shrimp boil and I chose this spot and it was so good! My brother and I decided to just call it in and eat it at home. Staff were nice over the phone and very professional. Next time I try it I'll definitely eat there for the full experience.

Got the pound of shrimp Kimkey style and Cajun fries. Love that we have another seafood boil spot in the desert! The vibe is casual and fun, with music playing and plenty of napkins.

The operator/owners of Kimkey Seafood Boil started as an at-home operation, before opening a brick-and-mortar large storefront in Indio, CA in 2024. We've been to a lot of Vietnamese/Cajun style seafood boil centric restaurants, and Kimkey has to be near the top. Our party of three was staying overnight in Indio, and this restaurant popped up on Yelp as a place to try. We didn't have reservations on a Friday night, but we were seated within 5 minutes. I had perused the menu on-line, and knew what we were going to share. We started with a Mix Bag ($24.99) which comes with 1 lb of head-on or head-off shrimp, 3 half ears of corn, and 4 red potatoes. To it, was added 1/2 pound of sausage ($6) and 1/2 pound of New Zealand green mussels ($9). As a side, we got a basket of fries ($4), a cup of steamed rice ($3.5), and 2 pieces of Texas Toast ($2 for 2). The items came out as soon as prepared, and small ramekin of salt and pepper along with fresh limes were provided (just like a Vietnamese style seafood boil) The tables were covered in butcher paper, and bibs with disposable gloves were provided if asked. You will be eating with your hands, so gloves are recommended. In fact, there were no utensils or plates except for a plastic spoon that came with the rice. It's a very messy way to eat, but it DOES make the food taste better...sharing the food together while eating with your hands (almost Kamayan-style). The Kimkey style sauce is the way to go (similar to other places sauce where they mix a garlic butter sauce with spicy cajun sauce), with the large amount of crushed garlic being great with the rice. It can be customized in terms of hotness; we went with medium and it was correct...hot would have been too much for us. The shrimp was really great quality, jumbo size and the NZ mussels were on the half shelf (6 shells for 1/2 pound). The sausage was just OK, but still a bargain. The corn was from frozen, but tasted great with the sauce. And I loved how they prepared the potatoes, it was served whole and was medium size...usually this means that the potato is undercooked, but not here....it was great fun smashing the whole potato against the table and even the middle was cooked. And it tasted great mixed with the Kimkey sauce. The fries were battered, and hot from the frier so delicious. My wife and mother-in-law loved their piece of texas toast (thick but on the smaller side). We knew we had to finish all of it...and we did...barely. It is LOUD inside, with customers enjoying themselves and the servers adding to the fun by announcing birthdays to tables across the dining room. Service was excellent...there were at least 6 different servers stopping by to ask if we were doing OK, and they truly meant it...refilling our water. It's clear that the owner/operators have thought about what they would do to make the customer experience so great, and they have implemented it...starting with making sure every server was so customer-centric. The prices here are quite a bit lower than what I am used to, especially on the market price high end seafood. E.g. pound of King crab was $64.99, and Snow crab being $29.99, $14.99 for 6 oz lobster tail. It will fluctate, of course...but the prices are a good 1/3 to 1/2 less than what it would cost in LA K-Town. So with service this great, food this value-priced and tasting so good, it's no wonder this place has such a good rep and large crowds. Definitely highly recommended....just wish I had asked a server what the 'Kimkey' means.

I've had Kimkey seafood boil before she opened up her restaurant so I knew the flavor would definitely be there. The food was amazing finger licking good no complaints there and with reasonable prices as well. The playlist they had was great it was a variety of music but all bangers so I really enjoyed that. It wasn't too packed when we went compared to other times we have driven by and people are outside waiting in line, so that was also a big plus. My only reason as to why I did not give it 5 stars was because our server seemed to be occupied with other tables and did not come over once to ask how everything was and if we needed anything. My husband had to get up and ask if we paid in the front or if we got the check at the table from how long we waited after we were done eating. This was our first time eating at her restaurant so we were confused about the paying situation and we left confused because we had to get up to get to helped. Other than that great food and good atmosphere!

Highly recommended ..... let's try it!

The good thing about Kimkey is that it's a seafood boil restaurant. The bad thing about Kimkey is that the shrimp were tough.

I've seen places that supposedly offered it but I get there, it's a whole different concept of it. Well, I may have found one that's worth it. Plus a lot of places do close early on Tuesday's and Wednesday. Also not open those days as they tend to be more mellows. Anyway, we found this place last minute. It's part of a strip mall with a few other Mexican restaurants surrounding it. Once inside, there's a bar to the left right by the door when you walk in. Restaurant is to the right where the main seating area is. There's also a back area but it was utilize for a private party that night. At first we were kind of iffy as there was barely anyone there but since we were here already it was a go. The waitress was quite friendly and very sweet. Throughout the while dining experience, they constantly checked up on us to see how the food was and if we needed anything else. Made sure we were taken cared of and enjoyed our experience. Then comes the menu, quite a lot of dishes that you would typically get at a Mexican restaurant and some that seem to be new. The birria ramen which lately have been seeing at loads of Mexican restaurant. Of course as it was Tuesday, we came for the tacos. Before you walked in, there's a board that says tacos Tuesday, 4 tacos for 10.00. Thats a deal that's worth it. Either chicken, al pastor, chorizo and buche. Of course that was needed. We wasn't quite sure what buche was so opted out from that. Started off with a cold beer as they have draft and price was quite nice. 2 order of the tacos, one with 2 chicken and 2 al pastor while the other was 2 al pastor, 1 chorizo and 1 chicken. When the dish came out, it was well plated. You usually see just the tacos alone but it was plated with slices of cucumber, radish, grilled onions and grilled chili peppers. Quite nice. And of course I had to try their birra ramen. Seems lately that Mexicans restaurant are incorporating that dish to their menu. I'm also on the hunt for the best...lol... This dish too was quite tasty. Pretty decent bowl full of broth and loads of meat. Served with a side of onions and cilantro and lime slices. The color was nice. Had a dish a while back where the color of the broth was pretty light and watery. This place was nice. The tacos were very tasty both the chicken and al pastor which also had slices of pineapple added. Chicken was flavorful and chorizo was goods. Onions and cilantro also added but asked beforehand if we wanted them. Beforehand, three different salsa was brought out, spicy medium and mild. Wow, both the spicy (red) and medium (green) were delicious. The right amount of spicy and perfect for the tacos. Food was delicious both the ramen and tacos. It's with the 10.00 for the four tacos and birria ramen was tasty and delicious. Worth it. Glad that we found this place. And the staff, all very sweet and very friendly. Attentive and made sure that we were well taken care of. Didn't have room for dessert but will definitely be back. We got seated at one of the booth which literally looked a lot to the men's restroom. It was fine but not a thing you want to see while eating.

Well, Peruvian Fuego did not reach that. Our waiter and staff was excellent and attentive, which was pleasing. And the patio was nice, although the music was a bit loud. We ordered empanadas and two chickens. The empanadas were tasty. A bit different in texture than what I'm used to, but the filling was nice....beef, onions, raisins. But the chicken? Even though these were supposedly smoked, I smelled only the faintest of smoke. The birds had ZERO juiciness, although they were reasonably tender. I guess I got used to that huge rotating rotisserie at the place I mentioned in Los Angeles with 100 birds going at any time, so what you got was right out of the fire. Here, the chicken tasted it it may have been very lightly smoked and then reheated a day or two later. That may or may not be the case, but It just wasn't special. It was marginally better than El Pollo Loco. The rice was good. The salads ok--fresh but not really dressed. I didn't like their aji. I'd like to try some other items. They have a nice full Peruvian menu. But all in all, the food I had didn't grab me enough to make me want to come running back.

We decided to treat ourselves to a quick breakfast, and I opted for the veggie omelette while my husband chose the French toast. Let's begin by saying our exceptional server, who was incredibly sweet, kind, and pleasant throughout our meal. However, let's address the food. The veggie omelette was a letdown. Instead of the traditional omelette where vegetables are incorporated into the eggs, this dish had eggs placed on top of the vegetables. This deviation from the classic omelette concept completely defeated its purpose. I was able to separate the vegetables from the eggs, but that's not what I paid $20.00 for! Moving on to the French toast, which was supposed to be a delightful banana French toast with a nicely caramelized, battered crust. Unfortunately, it was far from that. The French toast was extremely soggy, and the banana sauce, which was meant to complement the dish, soaked up everything, leaving it a soggy mess. While the service was excellent, the food left much to be desired. With a few tweaks, The Farm has the potential to become a stellar dining destination.
