We used to like this place but the original cook/chef is gone and the Food is not the same.

We tried this after seeing an IG post. Drove from Frisco and we were not disappointed!!! Spice and seasoning were great! Catfish hubby loved, soft combination noodles were very good ( reminded me of my college days at one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Edmond OK, IYKYK). Portions were a great size. Very good Vietnamese Chinese restaurant! The service is slightly slow but other than that the employees are very very nice. I love the huge menu. Been here twice. Recommend the any of the vegetables with garlic, salt & pepper tofu, and schezwan chicken. The inside is so cute!!! read more

The inside looks super nice compared to other Viet restaurants. The food were good too! I got the Mi Quang, tasted very delicious. My friend enjoyed her Banh Canh Cua and Bun Bo Hue also. Overall a good dinning experience for all of us. We will be back! read more

We came for early dinner today with12 people. We had the duck, roast pork , wontons noodle soup and other dish. They were excellent. The servers were very attentive and friendly. We will be back again very soon. The owner came out to speak with us about the Vietnamese menu and we try it. It was very traditional. read more

Would give this spot 3.5 stars, the place was nice and clean, service was good. Food was good but not amazing. Starting with the best dish IMO the basil clams, so good. Felt like the canh chua could use more seasoning. The steak / meat they used for the Bo Ne was super chewy.. flavor was good but if they used a diff meat it would've been way better. Had the shaken beef, meat was super tender! Didn't come with veggies like it normally does which was odd for me.. ca kho and thit Kho had good flavor. read more

We like supporting Vietnamese restaurants but this one wasn't it. First off, I should have fled when they brought out egg rolls that looked like Panda Express with sweet and sour sauce ! Sweet and Sour sauce when the menu cleared showed vietnamese egg rolls! I ordered the rice with crispy chicken and there was no tomato rice (like the menu) , no sauce , and the chicken was so salty I swear I could still taste the salt hours later . My husband had the BBH and it looked and tasted nothing like it. We had been so excited that a Vietnamese restaurant was opening in Carrollton but looks like we still have to trek to Richardson. So many options to choose from! It's a very cute restaurant with tons of seating. Waitstaff was attentive and food came out very quickly. I would recommend going with a group and ordering family style. I loved that the portions were large and easy to share. The dumplings were so fresh and so hot. I enjoyed the sweet soy sauce that came with the dumplings. The pork was hands down the best item we ordered. It was crispy yet tender. It wasn't too fatty either. The combination soft noodle was saucy. I ended up adding quite a bit of chili oil to give it an extra kick. The chicken flat noodle was also tasty. The noodles were stuck together so there wasn't an even coating or sauce but it was still saucy. The roast duck was a hit at the table because of the crispy flavorful skin. It was cut into very small pieces which is great for sharing but it was difficult to eat and there were bones in every bite. read more

I've been searching for a Chinese restaurant with great orange chicken like used to be a August Moon on Preston before they closed many years ago. In doing a search on Yelp, this restaurant kept popping up, so my friend and I decided to check it out. It is located in a strip mall at Beltline Rd and Josey. It is nestled in amongst an Auto Zone, Dollar Tree and Hacienda Buffet. If you're on Beltline Rd, it is directly behind the Taco Bell. While the strip mall is older and the parking lot is in need of repair, this place I'm sure has been updated and is quite appealing upon entering. It's open, with a curvy design going around the wall with some LED lighting behind it. Searing consists of some booths and tables to sit any size group. We were quickly acknowledged by the server and given a pitcher of water and two glasses along with our menus. We both chose Chinese dishes. He had sesame chicken and I ordered the orange chicken. Upon receiving our dishes, the food was nicely presented with some steamed broccoli and fried rice or at least that is what we ordered. After taking a bit of the rice, however, it was nothing more than steamed rice with egg in it. It was clumpy and lacked flavor like a fried rice. I brought this to the attention of our server who insisted it was fried rice. I explained to her that typically, fried rice was a brownish in color from soy sauce, wasn't clumpy or sticky, had egg, carrots, peas and onions. She acted surprised and said that this was how they make their fried rice. So, what choice did I have but to eat it along with the orange chicken that despite having orange peels and peppers in it wasn't spicy or had any orange flavor to it all. My friend said his meal wasn't as good as a previous visit we had made here a few weeks ago either. What is delicious is their eggs rolls. They don't come with the meal, so you have to order them separately. You get two per order for 5.00. Plenty of filling in them, not greasy and great flavor. I'd lover to try their hot and sour soup but it also does not come with the meal and you have to order it separately for around 11.00. Some Chinese restaurants like Ming's Kitchen in Garland your meal comes with soup and an egg roll or Royal Wok on Royal Ln in Dallas. Here to get what I would call a full meal deal, it would cost you 14.00 for the orange chicken, 5.00 for 2 egg rolls and 11.00 for the hot and sour soup, for a grand total of 30.00! That is simply to much! I even asked if they had just a cup of soup instead of a bowl and she said no. Oh well, I guess my search will continue for the elusive great orange chicken. read more

The food was good, but the salt pepper squid and egg rolls were pretty salty, plus the egg rolls were undercooked for it being pork, but they said everyone eats it like this (which I don't agree with). The service was slow, but it was busy so maybe that was the reason? Our server left in the middle of taking our order and we had to call someone over to take the rest of our order when our server didn't return. To add, I wish I had taken a picture, but they gave us a dirty water cup that had lipstick on it. Initially we ordered the salt pepper shrimp but they ran out and never told us until we asked about it since we had eaten all the other food. Cute restaurant set up though. read more

So this is my absolutely favorite place I recently. I stopped by during mid week, and no crowded & immediately seated. I ordered some kind of green vegetable (sautéed snow pea shoot (?)) because they told me they did not have any sautéed water spinach In garlic. This sautee snow pea shoot wasn't listed on their menu but It was sooooo delicious. Also I order 3 items to go: salt & pepper tofu, salt & pepper squid and broken rice with fried Cornish Hen. Salt & pepper tofu tasted delicious & my 3 kids ate all of it instantly when i brought it home within 10 mins. Salt & pepper squid tasted good, but it had a little too much breading on its outside. However the flavor was nice Fried Cornish hen tasted delicious and it was still super temperature hot when I brought it home & I live in north Denton. My husband & kids said this hen was their favorite. My boy is always asking me to buy this to go for him. Honestly I thought this fried hen was ok as it had a mild sweet flavor and normally I don't like sweet things. All my kids loved this dish & would not change anything. This review is an honest customer review and no one asked me to write anything, I literally stopped by on a whim as I was running errands around town and was dying for a good Asian fix. Since I live in Denton, I don't get to come to this area much but I will later this week after work because I need more Asian food. I wish we had more Asian places in Denton close to my house. The place was really nice and clean, the staff was very pleasant . I ordered flat noodle and it was tasty but wish it had more ingredients, it was just chicken and noodles and onions. We also ordered the pho, the bouillon had a good flavor but the meat didn't taste fresh. The spring roll were ok. We will try it again. read more

The food was very amazing. The place is very clean and aesthetic. The only thing I would suggest is maybe having some background music I'm not sure if I just went on a day where it's not functioning or if there's just not music any other day.
