This place is awesome. It's so random, I thought I'd be the first one to review it, but its good to know there are other freaks out there. Anyways, they have, or can probably get you any kind of bolt you need. Unless you have a very robust vocabulary, I'd suggest bringing in a sample nut, bolt,screw, washer, fastener, whatever it is you need. If you don't have a sample, bring in whatever it is you need the bolts, nuts, washers, for. The guys at the front are awesome. Take a number and they will help you quickly and thoroughly. They know their screws. For you, you should know how long, the thread (they can usually figure that out by using a little device to measure it), the type of tip of the screw, the size of the tip of the screw, and the material of the screw (ie. for me it needed to be stainless steel since it was going in areas susceptible to water intrusion). so think your stuff through before showing up there and then going "ahhhh.....ummm....what do you think would be the best one.....what do most people get" Everything is priced cheap so they aren't taking you to the cleaners. In fact its so cheap, if you're unsure you might as well get both screws that might work.... They also have a bunch of Harley Davidson stuff. Also a lot of nerds tend to show up here, mostly nerdy guys though and other questionable characters.... Totally worth the drive. Also they are open until six on weekdays! read more

This place has just about everything you need as far as fasteners! The 1st time I went there, I needed 4 small type allen studs for a fosgate amp; and they had them! Round two: Need 8 allen screws for a custom detachable steering wheel, drove down there, they had them. Round Three; needed 72 bolts for custom rims; they had them again... Round four; need 20 screws for a tool/ machine @ work; Had em! All four times, I've taken in exactly what I need replaced. So its best if you take a sample of what you need, so that they can measure/compare/match it up. There's also free parking in the back. read more

Was told to come here from a co worker. I needed advice on what to use for a certain job. They told me that the parts they gave me would be perfect an I spent $25. I started my project and saw that what the sold me not useful. Without even using it I went to take it back and was told they don't take returns. It said it on the receipt but that was the first time I was told about it. When I told them they gave me poor advice they said "oh no" but would not take them back. They showed me small sign that said no returns. When I asked to talk to the manager I was told no. I understand they have a no return policy but I only bought the stuff on their advice. When the manager refused to talk that did it. Poor customer service. I will never step back in the place. This is a reason small businesses fail. They don't work with the consumer. Man.. i've heard of this place for years but never got a chance to go here. I came in looking for a solution after finding out that getting a heli-coil wasn't worth it to do when fixing the front wheel on my bike. They have THOUSANDS of bolts, seriously.. check out the pictures. These guys took the time to help me find a possible solution to my issue, even though it may have seemed silly to other people I ran into before stopping by king bolt. My solution went from something that could have cost me $70+ to a simpler, easier solution due to the keen eye of the gentleman who helped me. (i forgot his name but he had kind of an AFRO?) This store is in a league of its own, and there aren't too many like it around anymore. I use tons of hardware, bolts, screws and fittings for my business, and recently started purchasing from King Bolt. They have the absolute best selection of bolts I have found, and in some sizes that are fairly difficult to find anywhere. I picked up some forged eye bolts for a project that had to be a smaller size, and I can guarantee you won't find it at an Ace Hardware, Home Depot, or Lowes. King Bolt had it though. Prices are good, and they always have huge quantities of anything you might need. The staff is helpful, and they actually understand metric and sizes. If you say you need a thimble or a wire rope clamp, they'll know exactly what you are asking for. I was so thoroughly impressed with this place. Finally a hardware store you can go to a counter, and in a reasonable amount of time, get the parts you need. Prices are great, location is great and the guys working here know what they are selling. As you walk in, you are right there in front of the counter. Immediately someone asked if I needed help. They did not have the exact bolt I needed, but something very close to it. Since hubby needed this for his work, and the item was only a few dollars, I went ahead an bought it. The attended (or cashier) did warn me that they have a "No return" policy, but I didn't care. because the item was so cheap. However, they wanted to charge a fee for any ATM or CC transactions. Pros - lot of bolts and nuts. Cons - be prepared to pay premium prices. Also, there are many extra charges for stuff that other stores do for no charge. I.e. To get a bolt that you purchased there cut, and extra $3.00 dollars. Want to use a credit card? Cough up an extra $3.00 dollars. Bottom line - before making a trip here, try Ace Hardware or some other local store OR if you know exactly what you need shop the internet as even with postage you'll probably pay less. read more

These guys know their stuff. Wasted my time at Home Depot a few days ago looking for specific screws that were stripped from my bass guitar with no luck. I went to Guitar Center and they recommended asking the manufacturer, but they are now defunct, so they recommended King Bolt. I arrived, took a number, waited like 2 minutes, and showed them the screw I was looking for. One of the guys working there instantly knew it was probably off a guitar. They found almost the exact same screw down to the width, threading, and length. The only thing off was the size of the head, but they even gave me the dimensions and what it's probably called in case the head was too big to fit. Really inexpensive and thankfully they fit! The only thing is that they charge 3 dollars to use a credit/debit card. Thankfully I had cash, but hey, the saved my butt so I wouldn't have minded paying the 3 bucks. read more

I has been using King Bolt for a number of years but never again. Byers make sure what ever you purchase you will need as they do not take anything back. NO returns. I purchase some XRP fitting for my race car Saturday $160 worth and found I didn't need a couple of fittings. and needed to purchase a different one. However when I went to return the ones I didn't need they said no returns that was $50 of fittings I don't need. so from now on I will drive out to Bonco to get all my fitting they take returns. I will drive for miles or order on line before I go back there again. read more

It appears that King Bolt has been in business too long and now has the attitude that they don't need your business. I just read Carlos U's comments and I too was treated poorly. At first the employee (Young fellow), whom I did not get the name of was helpful. KB did not have the size that I needed however I could use the bolts with some modification. The pricing structure of products has obviously changed over the years and sorely need to be re thought. When I went to pay for the item I was told that there would be a $3 charge for credit card purchases. We do not charge our clients for using cc. We want their business and want to make purchasing from us as convenient as possible. We told the young man that we had decided not to take the bolts. His response was "Thanks for wasting my time" Unfortunately King Bolt employs young people like this. We will try and contact the owners of KB to discuss this issue, if they are interested. read more

I went there to buy some chrome nuts & Bolts for my bike and all I bought was four hex head bolts with four flat washers, four hole caps, and four egg corn hex design bolts with washers & nuts, very small pieces, the only large bolts were the ones that hold a motorcycle windshield to the mounting brackets, the rest were very small, they were all chrome, as far as the very small nuts and washers I told the guy only stainless please as they were hidden underneath a fender, and he gave me chrome, all these little pieces easily fit in the palm of my hand, and he charged me $39.00 for this! These guys are really high priced! Buyer beware! Shop around, and I was recommended to these guys by my Yamaha Parts guy, some friend huh? Very extensive inventory and knowledgeable, courteous and professional staff. I would have given them 5 stars except for their "all sales final/no refund policy". I would advise you to check your items VERY carefully before purchasing, as once the $$ changes hands there is no going back. ALWAYS check that your bolts are straight (read: roll test), and ALWAYS check that the threads are not bunged (have them bring you the matching nut and thread it on the bolt), as over the tears I have had them bring me out defective items.
