Location is very clean and wait staff is very attentive. The desserts are delicious and kept very cold. The only thing that is uneasy about this location is how close they keep the peel and eat shellfish to other cold items. Although they have passed their health inspection so it shouldn't be of too much concern, just something to be mindful of. The chicken assortment for flavors was a wide range, and the black pepper chicken was one of my favorites! Their peach buns were tasty, too. This location has probably some of the best crab rabgoon in the area and if you're in the mood for some chicken wings, don't waste your time with wings top or any of those other places. Second, the food on the buffet looks good but it tastes horrible. The fried rice was yellow but had no taste. The mei fun had a weird stench to it. The mushrooms tasted like rubber-bans. The sweet and sour "chicken" tasted like nothing. The pepper steak texture was weird. The spring roll was cold and void of flavor. The krab ragoons were awful. The staff was quick and friendly, the food bars were kept clean at all times, the food remained stocked, and the quality of food was astounding. Everything was warm and delicious. Comparing this place to other buffets, the price isn't even expensive. I don't know how its so cheap and so good at the same time. my issue is with the behavior of the cashier. He wanted to know if I needed him to figure out a 15% or a 20% tip for me to leave. I told him neither because this is a buffet and I would figure it out on my own. He then started speaking in another language to another worker. I felt they were talking about me. This is very rude. This was the worst Buffett I have ever been to my whole life. When we finished our mediocre food and less than subpar service, I paid and left the ticket on the table. The waitress walks over picks it up, and proceeds to call me "cheap", under her breath and walks away. First of all the food was poorly seasoned, the chicken was soggy and cold. The service was absolutely horrible i don't think I've ever had such an awkward experience at a restaurant. The waitress was very rude, she asked if I wanted more of my drink and I said no thank you she got upset and took it anyways mind you it was a full glass. When we were done another waitress had to signal our waitress over to get us our check and when we were signing it she hovered over us, when she noticed we didn't tip her she stood in the way of my husband and asked for a tip. My husband told her we didn't plan to leave her a tip and she cursed under her breath and walked away. It was super awkward because we usually like to leave a good tip to our servers but we felt she didn't deserve a tip not to mention she tried to call over her coworkers to force a tip. The waitstaff are friendly and attentive and seem to always be in a good mood. Their food is good when it's fresh, but there lays the problem... it's almost never fresh.. My wife and I have been coming here once or twice a month for a while, hoping to catch them on a good day, but lately it's been getting worse. I have NEVER had a hot and crispy eggroll, springroll, or fried wonton for as long as we've been coming here. Most dishes seem to be prepared a few days in advanced and reheated when needed. Be careful going there around 4pm, Its either leftovers from lunch or the dinner buffet from the evening before. Avoid the wontons for the soup bar... I would not recommend coming here to eat. The place was almost empty yet it still took a while for someone to come seat us. The food was not good. We all left there either feeling sick or still hungry. Someone was always walking around to check on the food but we noticed they never added any fresh food even when it was running out, they would just come and sometimes stir the old food that had been sitting out. The crawfish was added to ice (this is the first I've ever seen of this) and based on the smell, we don't know how long it has been there. The best thing they had was maybe the hibachi. The only upside was that our waitress was attentive. However they included the tip in our check, which would be fine but we were not made aware of this and almost tipped another 20% on top of the tip they already added in the total. Our check only had a total in it and no where did it say the tip was already added until we realized the number was off. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The food is a bit mixed. Some items are great and some are Meh. Knowing what items they cook well and which items they don't helps but this is pretty much standard for any Chinese buffet. Staff has been great to me but I am a regular. I can see where a lot of people complain about the staff issues but I believe its always from the same offender. Personally I haven't gotten it as bad as some with that same said offender, but I could see where it probably did happen as reported by others. The other staff are usually great. Food is always hot and fresh every time I have been here although I generally come at regular times and can't confirm whether food is kept fresh at off hours. I would rate higher but I do believe some of other peoples issues are legit although this place is defiantly not a 1 star place. read more
