Unfortunately, my hostess didn't bring me a wine list but said she will grab one. Despite the mixed up, she was really sweet and complimented me on my wine selection. The lamb shank was fork tender and cooked perfectly with a nice gravy over mash potato. If I'm ever back in Cotati, I will go back to try out some of their skewers and hummus.

I enjoyed how cucumber forward it was, and the spice from the togarashi salt rim made me want to keep sipping. 10/10 great drink.

I'd previously eaten at King Falafel in Sebastopol and had always thoroughly enjoyed it, but yesterday was the first time I'd ordered a relatively large quantity of an item in advance for pickup/takeout later in the day. At 10:00 a.m. I ordered 3 dozen falafel that I would pickup at 4:00 p.m. When I arrived at 4:00, the falael was piping hot, and carefully packaged. The accompanying hummus and dipping sauce were also ready and well packaged. People at the potluck loved the falafel, hummus and sauce -- several telling me it was the best they had ever had. My friends and I came in a while ago the food was all different from the last time we came! It is a very cute, casual restaurant, but there must be a different owner or something. The chicken kabobs are completely different and they threw on a few onions and pieces of pepper and raised the price. They also moved the water out of customer reach. I find it weird that I have to ask for the tap water and cant just help myself like I did before. We had a kind woman who took our order, but there are a lot of other restaurant options in sebastopol so I don't know that I would go back. read more

I have been to this place almost everyday since it has opened. I have never tried a falafel before. So i went into the store and and tried one. It was so good that i felt like i was eating in heaven. There food is so good. There Gyros are amazing. They have very good service with very kind people. Simmons Diner is located in a great spot for them - near the high traffic intersection of Mission and Hwy 12. The diner is cozy, with local original art. It is the same great menu, and they serve brunch/breakfast late. Overall the menu is wide, and they nail the classics. I also feel the pricing is very fair for the quality of the food - a rare thing these days! If you are in the area - or willing to travel a little for some exceedingly well executed diner/cafe food - they should be at the top of the list!

The breakfast sandwich and country potatoes were excellent as were the huevos rancheros with chorizo. I can see why it is so popular. Restroom was also nice and clean and well maintained.

I came here to try their breakfast sandwich, which definitely did not disappoint. I also took home a couple of desserts for later! The service here is really great! The person who helped us when we arrived gave us some great suggestions! I really like the seating here and it feels nice and spacious. The art on the walls adds a nice touch as well! The breakfast sandwich has fried eggs and white cheddar cheese on an English Muffin. First I love the way they fry the eggs. Crispy, but still with a runny yoke. The cheese is melted nicely into this really yummy English muffin that was toasted really nicely. I also added bacon and avocado, which was a delicious touch. It's a very rich, fatty sandwich, so I asked for some hot sauce plus it's served with a side of pickles which helps to cut the richness as well. I took a few desserts home to try later, and I'm glad I did! The gluten free carrot cake is excellent. Very buttery and the texture is amazing. Not very sweet, but that may be what some people like. The gluten free lemon cheesecake had a great flavor and is dense like a NY style cheesecake. Again, also not very sweet, but delicious nonetheless. The Flan was a 10/10 in flavor and sweetness, but a 6/10 in texture. A little too dense for my liking. Overall, I love this place and will be back soon!

Zoftig has expanded into full-blown Choose Your Own Adventure territory: Build Your Own salads, sandwiches, wraps, and bowls, plus a gluten-free dessert lineup that practically begs you to pretend you're being healthy right up until the very end. I went with the Thai yellow curry over brown rice with chicken, which was the kind of meal that makes you feel like a responsible adult who has their life together. It was delicious! My dining companion's Ahi Poke bowl was equally impressive, and the roasted sweet potato salad was so good it briefly made me question my life choices up to that point. The chicken -- whether in a salad or a bowl -- was tender, flavorful, and absolutely not what I expected from a place with this many kale options. A word to the wise: show up at noon and you will be humbled. This spot is enormously popular with locals and the lunch-break crowd, and the line will remind you that good food attracts a crowd whether you like it or not. Fortunately, the staff is genuinely warm, happy to make recommendations, and will answer your menu questions without making you feel like you're holding up the line -- even when you absolutely are. Needless to say, it won't be another few years before I'm back. Zoftig has officially earned a permanent spot in the rotation.

Every time I've come here, I am met with the largest smile and warmest invitation to find a table. I usually order the vegetarian combo platter, which comes with a variety of curries, salad, and of course, served on top of injera. It's hard to pick a favorite, which is why I enjoy the combo. I still don't know what secret they put into the salad dressing, but it's one of the most refreshing salad dressings I've had. I even tried to recreate it at home using the recipe she shared with me, but theirs still has some kind of magic. The whole combo is delicious but the cabbage and potatoes are the real star of the platter. They're so buttery and flavorful and I'm usually fighting whoever I'm sharing with to stop eating all the cabbage and potatoes. The beer glasses come out ice cold, which is always a plus. Highly recommend if you want Ethiopian food, or want to try out a new cuisine!
