I've eaten lunch at Kings Gyro four times so far, and always leave satisfied. The food is fantastic, and the prices are very reasonable. I've had the gyro plate, gyro sandwich, salad, and fries. The gyro meat is excellent and the veggies are always fresh. Service is top notch. My assumption is that this is not a chain, at least that's how it seems based on the customer service. They truly appreciate every customer that walks through the door. It's a bit of a dive inside, but that's all part of the charm. What a great spot for lunch! read more

Good portions, fine prices... really good food. 4 stars because the ambiance could be a little better and the rice was just OK, and the prices could be a LITTLE cheaper. nothing fancy but overall the food is awesome for being in the middle of a strip mall in franklin. I come here nearly every week. I love their friendly service. I enjoy their tabouli, chicken, and great soups. They also have good baklava.

I love this place. Every time I come here the staff is always friendly and smiling and makes me feel at home. I stop by often and they're always happy to see me. We have discovered this place for takeout just recently--- love love love the hummus! There are not a lot of great choices for hummus in the Franklin area, so very happy to find this place! It's creamy with the tiny bit of tahini/oil on top signifying authenticity. You get a good portion with pita when solely ordering hummus. The pita is also good. I also really like their rice (which I like to mix with the hummus and olives and eat rolled within a pita). I do not eat red meat/chicken/lamb so can't comment on the meats, but my husband and kids like the chicken gyros. I got the vegetarian option (grape leaves and falafel) the first time, but now just order rice, hummus and pita for my meal. I was not overly impressed with the grape leaves - a little too mushy. I normally hate falafel and this time was no different! read more

Quality with that "Mom & Pop" feel. While Sue's is very small and certainly not modern in any way, that sort of adds to the charm of this independent small business. Sue herself, an adorable little old lady, takes your order and helps prepare the food. There may not be an extensive menu, but what they do offer is done right. With a name like Sue's Gyros, you can expect that the star of the show is the traditional Gyros sandwich. These are full of flavor and your choice of toppings, ranging from the tasty and traditional cucumber yogurt dressing (tsatsiki) and feta cheese to the oddly non-traditional ranch dressing and jalapeo peppers. While I am all about authentic, I love the balance of combining tsatsiki with jalapeos. The Gyros meet is moist and extremely flavorful. The pitas are soft and substantial. Overall, these are great gyros. The big seller is the lunch combo special. This includes a Gyros sandwich, fries (very nicely spiced), and a drink. It was odd the first time I saw a customer walk behind the counter to refill his beverage, but as it turns out, this is commonplace at Sue's. Almost everyone there is a regular, because once you have talked to Sue and tasted her Gyros; you will come back for more. There are many other menu items that I have seen or tasted. The baklava didn't really impress me much, but everything else was quite good. If I am ordering from Sue's though, it's almost always for those wonderful Gyros! This is not health food, but it is good food offered up in a personalized way that is refreshing in a town overrun by mediocre chain restaurants. read more

I love their falafels which are fried to perfection. They are crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. Ask for tzatziki sauce on the side for dipping. I got the grilled chicken platter that is served with tender rice and salad....the tabbouleh salad is very good or greek salad. Love this place! We are from Detroit/Dearborn.....this place is comparable. Prices are very reasonable. Gyro(lamb) Plate is our go-to. Hummus is creamy and thick, as is the Lentil soup. Portions are huge with awesome taste quality. The owner who prepares and serves the food is very friendly. The place is small and one could quickly label this a"hole in the wall" and I can see that, but the place is very clean. It's our new fave place. read more
