This was my first time here, and overall the experience was a little disappointing. First, I really wish they had told us that the nachos also came with jalapeños. We specifically explained to the person taking our order that we did not want the nachos to be spicy. He told us the only spicy part was the spicy tuna, so we trusted his recommendation. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case because the jalapeños made it much spicier than what we were asking for. I honestly think there may have been a language barrier or some kind of miscommunication between us and the person taking our order. We were trying to be very clear that we didn't want anything too spicy, but what we were told and what we actually received were two different things. I probably should have asked more questions, but at the same time, he knew exactly what we were concerned about when we ordered. The pork belly taco was also disappointing. It was dry and definitely didn't live up to the hype I was expecting. The salmon and the other taco were better, but overall the recommendations were pretty far off from what we told him we wanted. Would I recommend coming back? Sure, I'd give it another try. This was only my first time there, so I'm willing to give the place another chance. Just be careful when asking about spicy food because what you consider spicy and what the person recommending the food considers spicy might be completely different. Be very specific about what ingredients are actually in the food, especially if you don't want anything spicy.

Kingbop was all over my feed, so I had to go see what the hype was about! I tried three tacos: pork belly, spicy tuna, and salmon. Ugh, I would definitely skip the pork belly. The spicy tuna was easily my favorite! The salmon was okay, but I wish it had been mixed with some type of sauce and maybe some onions because it was pretty plain. I did get sauces on the side, but they charge extra for them. Honestly, they should at least include one sauce with the tacos. I ordered online for pickup, and it was ready pretty quickly, which was a plus. Just a heads-up, parking was definitely a struggle! Overall, I'd come back for the spicy tuna taco
This place has a interesting fusion vibe. The sushi tacos were delicious. There is minimal rice with plenty of toppings. The portion is hug The fried chicken was salty though so I would avoid honey soy garlic. The rose topokki is spicy and large. I would come back for sushi tacos
We ordered a few Crunchy Sushi Tacos and a 10-Piece Fried Chicken (Honey Butter and Sweet&Spicy). The fried chicken was good but the honey butter powder was overpowering and super messy. The crunchy sushi tacos were delicious and matched the viral hype. For best results, need to double bite---some rice from bottom, then sushi from top. To be honest, the rice and crunchy shell were the best part... the fish was an ok addition. The place is tucked into the back corner of a sketchy strip mall. Like most of LA, the parking lot was a little tight and had some questionable character. Service was friendly and fast. They did not have a bathroom or place to wash hands. The dining area was small but could fit a couple small groups.
Being closer to Ktown has let me trying multiple spots for Kimbap it offered. Kingbop's located in a plaza with other retailers and the spot easily stole the crowd's attention with rich selections of menu and great value for price. Before looking at the actual dishes, I for a sec thought it's kinda pricey compared to other kimbap places around but once I saw the foods serving size, it made total sense. We dined on the spot and needed to wait a bit to get seats as they're full-house and there weren't plenty of seats. Humble setting yet serving the purpose. We got their honey soy garlic fried chicken and k-pepper tuna kimbap. The boneless chicken were perfectly crispy and we love the flavorful seasoning! It's a lot that we brought home the rest and could make us another meal. The kimbap was fully stuffed with luscious tuna. It's tad spicy yet we really enjoyed it. Tasted super fresh!

This place has been viral so I decided to drive out and try it! The sushi tacos are about $10 and some change and they have a great variety to choose from!I went close to opening so no rush or lines. The beef belly and unagi tacos were delicious the flavors and ingredients were so good! Definitely worth a visit at least once! I will be back! Even my daughter enjoyed it! **Downside** The place and parking lot is small and some spots are a tight squeeze. The area is not great so be mindful! There a some tables to sit and eat and the staff was welcoming and friendly! Can be pricey I paid $32 dollars for three tacos however portion size is huge and fair for price point. Grilled pork belly and as the worst one out the three I tried so dry, bland, and lots of fat pieces avoid that one!
I was in DTLA looking for a solid lunch spot and had a couple of places saved on Yelp. Ok, I admit I have tons of saved places on my "to try" yelp lists. First stop I tried (Holbox)...which had a line around the corner, and the second spot I wanted to try was Chuy's Tacos and it's closed on Sundays. I ended up at KingBop about 15 minutes away...and honestly, that worked out pretty darn well to quench my "Taco" craving. It's tucked into a dumpy little strip mall, so don't come expecting much atmosphere. This is more of a fast-casual, self-service kind of spot where you can order on the tablet or at the counter, then wait for your food. The seating area is small, and I had to wait for a table to open up. Parking was also a bit of a battle on a busy weekend around 1 p.m., but that's LA being LA. The sushi TACO's, though? Really really good. I tried the pork taco (good) and the ahi tuna taco (my fav). The shells are crispy seaweed with a tempura-style crunch, so they actually hold together and give you that great taco bite. The flavors were fresh, the sauces were on point, and the whole thing worked way better than I expected. Thx Yelp for another satisfying Taco treat. They have a deal where you get $3 off if you order three tacos, but I only grabbed two. They're a little on the pricey side, but they were filling enough and worth it. Two tacos hit the spot without putting me into a food coma, which is always appreciated. The food took a little while to come out, but it tasted fresh and made-to-order. Overall, I really enjoyed it. KingBop takes sushi, flips it upside down, stuffs it into a crispy taco seaweed shell, and somehow makes perfect sense. As a crispy taco fan, I was fully on board. Five stars from me. Not fancy, not atmospheric, but fun, creative, fresh, and delicious.
April 22, 2026 | Los Angeles | The moment I heard about the Viral Crunchy Sushi Tacos, I knew I had to add KingBop to my wish list! 3 Crunchy Sushi Tacos | Shared | At first sight and bite, the Salmon & Spicy Tuna Sushi Tacos easily looked yummy, piled high with toppings & dripping with sauce! I enjoyed the salmon taco! My favorite was the Spicy Tuna Crunchy Taco, which was absolutely delicious and I loved hearing that crunch! Haha! It's definitely a messy taco, but worth it, so keep napkins near! Honey Butter Seasoning Fries | I absolutely love honey butter chips, so I knew the fries would be a hit and they were incredibly delicious! I craved one bite after another! I highly recommend! Fried Seaweed Rolls | I honestly thought I would love this, but they were not a hit for me! I only had one bite! Cute wrapping paper underneath though! Haha! Sighting | While my friend and I were catching up, I heard someone's funny ringtone quite often... So I thought, it actually ended up being a real life parrot! Haha! The woman was super friendly, we spoke briefly as she was walking out of the restaurant and she let me take a cute photo of the parrot! Inside | It's bright and colorful! You order at the kiosk! There was a special for three tacos for three dollars off! This place gets super busy! There were a lot of orders to go as well! Luckily, we found a table right away! A woman picking up an order for her daughter asked how were the tacos and I raved about the salmon taco!! Note | As KingBop is definitely a super busy place, I would recommend wiping down the glass door every now and then and the baseboards! Overall | I enjoyed the crunchy tacos! If in the area, I would easily return and try another taco, excited to hear that crunch!

Wow what a concept! My girlfriend and I decided to try this trendy spot and were greeted by a line out the door of other curious foodies excited to get their fill of sushi tacos. I wasn't sure what to expect upon arrival but liked that they had options to order at their digital kiosk if clankers are more your thing vs ordering with a human. We waited in line for maybe 10-15 minutes before placing our order at the helpful robot and quickly snagged a table as real estate was precious in their tiny dining space. While their staff looked mostly efficient pumping out to-go orders, sadly our beef bulgogi kimchi fries really held up our order. It appeared that although our sushi tacos were ready quickly, the Fries were ready almost a whole 20 minutes later. We waited maybe 30-40 minutes for our order to come out. I was obviously a bit bothered, but understood that they had more orders coming in than they could possibly handle. When we did end up taking our first bites I was astounded. Their exciting flavors, chunky portions, and fried seaweed provided a bite I had never experienced before! Honestly so worth it. The salmon and Tuna tacos were less flavorful than the beef belly one because the meat obviously was seasoned/marinated but for them being sushi tacos they were awesome with nice ingredients. I think the wait on the meat made the fries taste a little old but still everything was amazing. The staff is friendly, and did their best to maintain a good system amid the chaos that is their fan base. While I am not sure I will be back anytime soon, the food truly was a pleasure as it was unique, filling, and delicious.
Ugh the hype is real!! This place always has a line I feel like no matter what time, so ordering ahead is probably the best option. We tried a bunch of stuff - Rose Mala Topokki, Crispy Shrimp and Beef Kimbaps and 3 Crunchy Tacos (Salmon, Spicy Tuna and another meat one). My favorite was definitely the topokki but honestly everything was soo good. The servings are big and they really load up the tacos, so it's great value. Overall, so so good!!

So Kingbop's sushi tacos actually exceeded my expectations. Super yummy! The hype is real and worth it. I would seriously recommend giving these a shot. I went for several of the three taco deal and tried them all. My favorites in order were the unagi, with the sweet sauce and spicy crab, the spicy tuna, the salmon, beef, and pork. I ordered online so things were ready when I arrived. I actually recommend doing this because there was quite a line. The location is jammed into a corner of a very small strip mall. There are pretty much no parking spots available. So be prepared for that as well. Definitely worth a trip to try. Totally awesome and unique flavors. Five stars!
Ok this was fun. Comfort "tashi" (taco sushi). I've tried this before in other places, but none of them took, and a year after they opened, none of them are around any more. The reason? I suspect it's because they try to fancy it up as sushi, rather than comfort it down to what I'd call emotional-damage-breakup-food. You know.... eat everything cuz he/she dumped you for that "just a friend" they always hang out with..... you know what I'm talking about. Comfort food. After which, you do the "best way to get over somebody, is to get under somebody".... before you heal and decide to be a better person. While you're hurting though? THIS IS WHAT YOU EAT. I had the beef and unagi tacos, and I was feeling might comfy. The great thing about it is they hold for a while when you want to bring it home. Prices average about $11-13, but I always get the 3-taco deal, which comes out to under $10 each. The neighborhood is kinda ghetto, so if you're the prissy Newport Beach TikTok type, I'd recommend you just DoorDash it. Definitely a fan!!

this place has been on my try list forever and i'm glad i got to check it off. it was pretty crowded at 5pm on a sunday and the shop itself isn't that big, and there isn't much seating so we just took it to go. there is a tablet to take your order and there is a bit of a wait. the parking lot is also pretty small but we were able to find street parking. the menu had a lot of variety and i'd def wanna try something else from there another time. tried the viral sushi tacos and got unagi, pork belly, and tuna. unagi 4.5/5: definitely my favorite out of the 3. the unagi sauce was so good but i felt like the deep fried flavor was a bit over powering, and i realized i just don't like it deep fried LOL pork belly 2/5: i did not like this one at all tbh. a ton of oil from the pork belly pooled at the bottom and the flavors of the deep fried bits just did not complement the pork belly and rice. i felt like it was better just to take it out of the shell and eat it on its own. spicy tuna 4/5: the deep fried bits were overpowering here again and i couldn't taste the tuna much, but it was still good. overall it was good to try but i probably wouldn't want to get it again. read more

There aren't many places to get andong jjimdak in LA, but this is one of them! They're in a small corner plaza so parking can be difficult unless you have good timing in the lot. The braised chicken (jjimdak) was good, but I do think there could be more glass noodles in it. The KFC and kimbap were good too. I definitely want to try more things off their menu like budaejigae and toppoki. Service is friendly and the store is clean, but there are no restrooms. read more

You guys, definitely a hidden gem in LA. Their best 3 tacos combo is top tier. Got the beef belly, pork belly, and salmon! There's not much space inside however but it's okay, the food speaks for itself. There's so much on the menu I will be back to try the rest. Most definitely recommend. read more
I've been seeing the place every time I go to the Chinese place across the street from this, but I decided to switch it up today. I looked at some reviews, and everyone seemed to like the sushi taco. Location/Parking: Washington/ Western is a pretty busy intersection, and there's a strip mall on every corner. The parking lot was small, and it's located right next to the Insurance place. There are also two bus lines you can take to get here. Inside/ambiance: I couldn't take pics, but it's like a typical small fast-food joint with a few tables and chairs and a cute yellow interior. The place gets really busy (don't worry, it's not community good busy) because some people said they saw the sushi tacos on TikTok. Friendly Staff too!! Food/Price: In addition to sushi tacos, they also sell other Korean fast food like Budae Jjigae, kimbap, and Tteok-bokki. I ordered the 18-piece boneless chicken with flavors and a crab-shrimp sushi taco just to try them out. The total came to $50. They have 6- and 10-piece options for less. I didn't get a drink, but they offer canned sodas or drinks like lattes, match, and other refreshers. Overall, it's a bit pricey (like most LA places), but I will definitely come back and try more dishes on the menu. P.S. They have a small kiosk in there if you don't wanna wait in line to order. read more

Good evening hope all is well. I am Jarvon from South LA here the famous KingBop. Where they make sushi tacos, ramen, bulgogi kimchi cheese fries. I got the viral sushi tacos I got the pork belly, shrimp and salmon sushi tacos. All of them were fire 10/10 nice flavor, it was enough sauce. It wasn't dry at all. How the shell was made with seaweed still amazed me. It was nice and perfect, nice flavor wasn't too hard to chew at all. My favorite was the shrimp sushi taco. Cause my my favorite sushi is shrimp tempura. The strawberry ade was good if like sparking water then you will like it. Also got the bulgogi kimchi cheese fries. Kingbop is an interesting play on foods. I found it to be tasty and unique. The textures and flavor go fairly well together. For me, I think it's a one and done. This is truly a food experiment that is fun and creative. I think for the money, you can get better food. The restaurant is very small. They could probably use another kiosk or two to help move service faster. All in all it was a good experience. Parking here is a disaster too by the way. read more

Kingbop is one of my absolute favorite spots whenever I'm craving Korean comfort food like kimbap, tteokbokki, fried chicken, or kimchi fried rice. I've been going here for about two years now with friends and family -- probably around 7-8 times -- and every single visit has been great. All the dishes are always delicious, and the service is consistently friendly. I went again on Saturday evening, November 29, with my friends. We ordered a ton of food -- kimchi fried rice, kimbap, tteokbokki, and chicken -- and everything was so good. The staff was really kind as always, and we had such a nice time. If you love kimchi fried rice, kimbap, tteokbokki, or Korean fried chicken, I highly recommend Kingbop! read more

I saw a video of this place on Instagram and wanted so desperately to try it, but I wasn't wiling to make the drive to LA from SD. Ended up there for my nephew's baseball game and tackled the traffic because I had to give it a try. Did not disappoint!! read more
My coworker had told me that he ordered King bop and had sushi tacos and I was like that sounds amazing. I had to go, so I ordered online ahead of time. Use the toast ordering online tool service was amazing. I walked in literally they were calling my name it's clean. It's nice. There's a lot of people like you can't even get into the parking lot. That's how crazy it is so if that tells you anything, you must go five stars plus! It was truly a culinary treat. I can't wait to try something else there. read more

We tried it and we actually really liked the flavors we tried. It was really busy the Sunday we went. It took maybe 25 minutes for our order but well worth it. We had the Spicy Tuna and the Shrimp Tacos. The ambience was typical inside appearance. KINGBOP is a must if you're in the area. read more

We got recommended to this place. The service and food were average. We were served in to-go containers while others around were served in dishes/nice presentation. I was waiting for my food with presentation and was disappointed. If that wasn't bad enough we had to get up to ask for soy sauce and ketchup to check in on our order. Without the soy sauce my sushi tacos would have been so plain. The girls next to us were so loud. Shrimp tempura was so small, you get better quality at Trader Joe's. Recommendation tip: Tip at the end we ended up tipping before our food arrived and that was unfortunate. read more

Lines were long, but it moved pretty fast. You self order at a kiosk. We grabbed a table & wiped it down ourselves. No one came out to clean tables or empty the trash while we were there. We got a three sushi taco order and some bulgogi fries. I think. My husband ate those. Back to the sushi tacos, the spicy tuna was the best. It came with a sauce that the salmon taco one needed. The salmon taco was salty. The third taco was some type of beef. It was okay. The meat on the fries was cold. Kinda odd. Overall it was a good experience, we also grabbed Guatemalan sweet bread next door. Good eats, might be back. read more

This place randomly came up on my timeline of social media apps and the food really drew my attention. The thought of a Sushi taco never came about until I saw this on my phone and the reactions of people trying them. So I ordered their 3 Sushi Taco special and each one had its own special flavor to it. I had their Spicy Tuna, Pork Belly and shrimp tacos. The way these were made and presented were really nice and pretty full. The best part is that first bite of crunch from the taco along with soft fillings of the meat, rice and sauce that blasts of flavor from each taco. I also tried the Crispy Cumin Chili Wings, they were really crunchy, tender and had a nice kick of spicy. Overall this place really satisfied me with their food and I want to go back to try the other tacos. read more

Definitely try this place out for their signature sushi tacos! My mom and I had: - the Spicy Tuna Taco ( 5/5): there's a reason it's a fan favorite. - Unagi Taco ( 5/5): savory and crunchy - Salmon Taco ( 4/5): lacked a bit of flavor diversity but the salmon was really buttery CONS: - These tacos are a bit pricey (~$10 each) but are huge, so one is good enough for one person. - Kingbop was PACKED with people, so service was a bit slow -- no fault to them. We were still able to find a seat and enjoy our sushi tacos. - Parking was somewhat difficult, so try parking around the corner instead of the lot. read more

I recently tried Kingbop and this place is fire!!We tried the crispy shrimp kimbop, unagi crab crunchy sushi tacos, and the kingbop plate. Everything was so delicious! The crunchy sushi tacos were my favorite! They had the perfect crisp crunch and definitely something I would be returning for. The kimbop was excellent and it came with a lot of rolls. The chicken plate was good too. I got it with crispy shrimp and spicy chicken &it came with a lot of food. We would've been fine with just the two items the tacos and the Kimbop but this was a good dinner to take home. Overall this place is worth the hype. The only downside is that there isn't a restroom. read more

Rating for tacos is 5 star but I removed 1 star due to wait time . It's a hole in the wall category so didn't expect much (it's satisfactory ) on service, parking , ambiance etc coz it's just a small shop. Really love the crispy seaweed taco shell. We ordered a variety of tacos : pork belly, beef, salmon , tuna with tasty sauces. I would come back for it, however am guarded by the negative experienced. Here's our wait experience : 15 mins for the tasty tacos and 60 mins for the fried chicken !!! Repeat customers probably order in advance for pickup for their fried chicken; there's people waiting in line for pickup later. To watch out for (for first timers): there's is no way to tell how long the queue is as you're ordering thru kiosk that doesn't warn. Some restaurants with a staff taking order will be able to warn usually if they notice the high volume. Mom and son working hard inside to keep up with the orders and apologetic of the almost an hour wait for the box of chicken we ordered. It was supposed to be a simple meal for 2 in our group. Try asking first how long is their chicken queue before ordering thru kiosk. We ended up sharing the whole meal so everyone's eating same time. It's a hole in the wall with tasty food. We run into a celebrity there - main character of Once Upon a Time and voice of Zootopia main character. She was wearing sunglasses indoor but my kids recognized her and we had a nice chance while she waits for her food. read more

Kingbop the location is great parking is a bit challenging but it's worth it. I order three tacos $32.00 the service was good but the star of the show are those yummy tacos I ordered the eel, spicy tuna, and salmon when I say delicious. You can check out the pictures. I highly recommend this spot by far the best sushi tacos! We are still thinking and dreaming about it two days later. read more
I ordered the salmon shrimp avo and beef ribeye kimbap at Kingbob. The rolls are huge with generous fillings and fresh ingredients. The salmon shrimp avo was my fave! I would love to try the rest of their menu items next time read more

The place itself has a very cute cozy feel to it. However the wait time for the food was very long. And the tacos themselves are just okay. It's something fun to try once but it's not something I would do again. read more

Love the variety available in the kingbop plate! Opted for half rice and half kimchi fried rice for the bases. The kimchi fried rice wasn't my favorite but was decent. For protein chose the fried chicken and K-spicy chicken. Both were amazing especially the fried chicken with honey soy garlic or hot spicy sauces. Their tteokbokki was great and had the perfect sauce! read more
After seeing so many TikTok's about crunchy sushi tacos, I only found two locations that offer this - Anaheim and Koreatown. Kingbop located in Koreatown and closer to us. So happy we came, the tacos were delicious, big, in addition to protein you order, crab is added as well - definitely worth the price! We also ordered a six piece of chicken wings, they were great! Saw other items on the menu that caught our eye, we will definitely be back! Great customer service, welcoming, and very helpful explaining menu items. Restaurant is small and very clean, located in a small shopping center with good parking. read more

Ok had to check this place out because of TikTok. But ugh! Come on $10 per taco filled with imitation crab. There's way too much of it in each taco. This made the tacos inedible! Epic fail! Don't go here! The restaurant is located in a strip mall with no parking. And on top of all that it's dirty! The door is dirty the floors have caked up dirt we took one bite and tossed them. Please don't waste your time! Oh service wasn't bad and the shells are kinda good but the crab is cold. So nasty. read more

Interesting concept and good quality overall. I tried the salmon taco and the spicy tuna. I did not like the spicy tuna at all, but the salmon taco was good. That said, it felt too expensive for what it was. However my mom loved both. I might go back to try other items on the menu. The place itself is very average, small and not fancy. So it's better for takeout. However, it does feel pricey for takeout food. Make sure to get the spicy mayo. read more

Went there yesterday (after watching a food blogger recommendation), and I already can't wait to go back!!! There was a line when we got there, touch screen ordering, and only took snoot 20 minutes. Seating for about 20. The perfect combination of lightly battered seaweed wrapper, spicy tuna, salmon, the rice... So good!!!! read more

Came here right before an escape room to grab some food. We ordered online and picked it up. It was ready by the time we arrived (10-15 mins) with all the orders and utensils and napkins included as well. Kingbop DOES NOT skimp on the meat. The tuna bomb was so delicious especially with the fried crispy bits on top. The perilla leaf gave it so much flavor and there was so much tuna in it. The rolls are massive. The bulgolgi one was great as well and again had SO MUCH MEAT in it. Both rolls were good with the mayo and I highly recommend this place to stop by and get some kimbap as a quick meal or snack. read more
