Pretty solid Taiwanese pork chop place! Portions are massive, whether you get the pork chop rice or pork chop noodles. Comes with lots of veggie sides, which I love. FYI though, their cold cucumber dish has chili oil in it! The staff were very welcoming and provided recommendations when they heard that it was our first time. We ordered for a family of 4 so our order was quite big. Unfortunately, we should have checked the order before we left, because when we got home, we found out that we were missing 1 order of soup/noodles. When we called them to let them know, they were very understanding and gave us 3 options to rectify the situation: get an instant refund, pick up the missing order now, or leave your name and phone # and let them know when you place an order the next time so they could give us our missing soup/noodles. We opted for the last option, and came by the next week. Not only did they honor what they said, they ended up giving us 1 complete combo (soup/noodles + pork chop + green tea) for free as they felt apologetic that we had to drive all the way up to retrieve the order. Now, that is what I call excellent service! || F O O D / D R I N K S || Pork Chop ($12.25/combo) - Tastes like they fried and braised the pork chop, which makes it taste less oily than a fried pork chop. Each order comes with more pieces of pork chop than I expected. Some places flatten out the pork chop to make it seem like they're giving a lot, but they do not do that here. In addition, the pork chops are super flavorful and it pairs well with both noodle soup or rice. a). With Noodle Soup Contrary to their pork chop, some may say the soup is a little bland, but I find that it's a good balance with the strong flavors from the pork chop. The soup has a strong garlic flavor which I like, and it's creamy but it's not overbearingly rich like a tonkotsu broth. b) With Rice The rice comes with minced pork on top along with steamed vegetables, bean curds and an egg. I personally prefer the noodle soup option since I tend to gravitate towards noodle soups, but the rice combo is packed with lots of sides. Jasmine Green Tea - The combo comes with complimentary Jasmine Green Tea and for something that was complimentary, I wasn't expecting much. I figured it would be like most places; overly sweet flavor to cover up the watered down tea, but it was not the case here. Ordered the minced pork rice. Looks nothing like the pictures on yelp. It was just straight up fatty pork oil over rice, half an egg that tasted like nothing, and boiled cabbage. Flavor was ok, but I just couldn't eat straight fat over rice. Was there a change in ownership or what to explain the discrepancy between what was provided versus the pictures online. Really delicious with pretty generous portions. The chicken leg rice comes with three pretty hefty-sized pieces of dark meat, seasoned and cooked perfectly to a juicy consistency.
