Very unprofessional! The guy working tonight is so rude! When I walk in starts yelling! Came for pick up! Food wasn't ready! Wasn't even started when I went to pick up the food! I tried multiple times to get there attention! No luck! I just got the food from Uber eat. I order the buy one get one free deal. The food is good but the portion is 60% of the regular order. I do believe this is the best Thai restaurant In LA, and that is a bold statement I know. Maybe I should put a little clarification, it's the highest quality Thai restaurant I've been to in LA. To me most Thai places are great. I've had very few that weren't good. Because the sauces and the spices are amazing. But most places combine that with crappy meats, I'm no vegetarian, but I get veggie options at some Thai places because the meat is whack. Mostly I get seafood. Not here, the quality of meats and seafood you get is so much higher than anywhere else. It's amazing. I mean you get New Zealand lamb chop with amazing Thai Red curry or Penang sauce. I was at this restaurant several times before yesterday, sizes of dishes shrunk we requested not spicy , not hot, several times and was told the dish was not spicy. it was full of red hot peppers. the worst was the bill. 15% tip is included. we didn't know. we asked and they showed it in the menu . very tiny writing in area hard to spot. The hainan chicken was not authentic because they used boneless and skinless white breast meat only. Problems: the back of my friends silver soup spoon had a dried up flatten dead nat. Oh my goodness where do I even begin! The place is beautiful and super clean! The staff is amazing! Super nice and helpfull! It was my first time there and my server answered all of my questions and gave me great suggestions! The service was fast and the food was beyond amazing! I don't even know how to describe how good everything tasted! I'm a huge fan of Thai food and been to many many Thai restaurants but none of them compare to this place! I got the topaz shrimp the flavors where amazing! I also got the crying tiger, the steak was perfectly cooked extremely tender and juicy well seasoned the sauce that they put on top is out of this world! I usually don't write reviews but decided to write one because of this incident. I usually do take out from this place every once in a while and it's wonderful. However, I placed an order yesterday while I was at the counter and the total came to $24.04 and I handed the cashier a total of $40 split by 2 $20 bills. The cashier asked me if I had the 4 cents with me and I went to my car to get the change. When I came back and gave her the money she had my change ready on the counter. However the change I received back was only $6. So the cashier kept the rest of the change without my consent. Terrible business ethics. read more

I have mixed reviews for this restaurant. The ambiance is super cute I love the decor! The food was very tasty, we ordered pad see ew with chicken, mixed veggies and the crying tiger. Everything was tasty but the crying tiger was my favorite. The reason for the 3 stars...... as we were finishing up our meal a nice little cockroach started walking up the wall right next to us. I instantly became nauseas and we told our waitress. The entire staff was extremely apologetic. They gave us %15 off our check which in my opinion wasn't really a big discount after wanting to throw up my entire meal. BUT they were nice and they did put in some effort. I've been back several times and tried numerous dishes, all were great. The service is very timely, they don't miss a beat! The decor......when you see this place it looks very out of place. It's located the run down part of Van Nuys but the restaurant looks like it should be on Hollywood Blvd/ Sunset with the other hip and trendy places. This place is special. It's not your traditional Thai place. I actually never tried Thai cuisine this "elevated". I went with the waitress recommendation of crying tiger angus beef, soft shell /shrimp garlic fried rice, terrific tofu, and the shrimp asparagus. Tiger angus beef is a MUST TRY! The soft shell crab/shrimp also, and the tofu is so ridiculously good. The only dish that was so/so was shrimp asparagus.
