Kitchen 86 has come so far in the past couple years, offering great vibes, live music, quality food, & drinks. One of the only restaurants in the valley open past 10pm.. this is definitely my go-to past 10pm or not ;-) This is the perfect place to bring a date, vibes are on point! Some of my favorite items on the menu are: Boom Boom Shrimp (crowd pleaser), Vegan Pizza, kale Cesar w/ added salmon, & roasted beet salad. You can tell they pay attention to the detail & quality of their food as the presentation is always beautiful. The bar is always a hot spot for interesting conversations with strangers.. Travis, the bartender was very helpful with helping me find a drink that fits my needs. My new go-to is the californication, soo yummy. Shared a tasty lunch with hubby and 2 dear friends visiting from Washington State. We started with a tasty bomb bomb shrimp and then had the beet salad with salmon added, BLT sandwich, pizza with pepperoni and jalepeno and cappellini. Desert, coffee and drinks were also fabulous. I loved the shareables most especially the boom boom shrimp. Hector provided amazing service. If your looking to have some afternoon alcoholic beverages and great food this is the place to go! Service was good but food was mediocre at best. $5 happy hour margarita was decent. The calamari was simply okay but the sauce it comes with is good. The chicken wings say "spicy" on the menu but they had a sweet sauce on them. My mushroom pizza was supposed to have smoked Gouda but it really tasted like it was blue cheese on there?! Not sure but very strong taste.... my husband had a double pepperoni pizza and said it was just okay. This is not a place I would choose to go to but we had a gift certificate. We never miss a Sunday at Kitchen 86 when we are in town. Great service, good food, lots of choices and the Mimosa has great Champagne. We drove in late Monday and stopped in , we loved that they had this great duo playing music. Tyler our waiter was outstanding, he had Great eye contact, good tips on ordering. The calamari is crisp and not breaded, good choice. The Caesar kale salad is yummy and finely chopped. All the pizzas are good, the best crust. We decided to eat here while visiting in Palm Desert -- relatively modest expectations. WOW were we surprised. The drinks were very good and the pastas we had were excellent -- among the best ever. The service was attentive (kudos to our server, Jesus, who was outstanding), with the perfect balance of friendliness and helpfulness. Only 3 ingredients in a pizza but very few places get all of them right. They do here in terms of the crust, the sauce and the cheese all balanced perfectly. This restaurant had a very cool vibe and good food! Great venue to watch sports games.

Four diners- four different entrees and all were delicious. The fresh pasta dishes were what one expects from an Italian kitchen. The pizza was thin with an unusual crust- light but full of flavor. Chicken piccata was rich and big enough for lunch the next day. 2 desserts, 1 beer, and bottle of wine: $257 before tip. Enjoy! read more

Our party waited about 20 minutes just to put our order in, no one checked on us, asked for refills, etc. Secondly, do not even get me started on how over priced the food is. This place charges $22 for a regular pizza, which is the same exact size as the $11 kids pizza! How pathetic is that? (also confirmed by waiter that they are the same size). Hi, Normally, I wouldn't go out of my way to make a Yelp review, but this place deserves it. First, we said we needed two more mins on the menu, and 11 mins later, he came back. After that, my two friends and I ordered kids pepperoni pizzas. There were no issues until later on, the manager came over and said they couldn't do this. Our server should've addressed this HIMSELF, & he should've said that WHILE we were ordering as we had already been waiting. Next, they failed to communicate that the kids and the regular pepperoni pizzas were THE SAME SIZE, yet one was 11 vs. 23 dollars. This is a scam. This was simply poor acknowledgment and service. ON TOP OF THIS, they charged a 20% automatic gratuity on top of their shitty service. I would not recommend this place at all. Especially coming from someone who has been a server for 3 years and loves to accommodate guests to whatever extent I can. This was a pretty awful experience! read more

We had the pleasure of finding this jewel prior to an event at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert and what a find. Thought I would try something different so I chose the Blackberry Wood Pizza, it was an excellent choice along with the California scramble, the Kitchen 86 Burger was one of the best and Lucci's meatball sandwich with garlic fries. Rachel was our server tonight. She was so helpful and delightful! All of her recommendations were tasty! Tonight I got the Salmon dish (forgot the name) and it was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The only thing that could've been improved is being more careful when preparing the asparagus. I found a few small pieces that were obviously the dry part of it that should have been removed. This was very minor but I try to be thorough in my reviews & hope that management can do what they need with this info. Otherwise, the service, food & ambience are stellar. My husband had the Curry & my dad has the Chicken Tower. Both loved their dishes. We will be back. read more

What a lovely and quaint place in the upscale shopping district; yet quite affordable. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like gold. The hostess was attentive and friendly, and the owner came to tell us the specials as he took our orders. They had lots of interesting salads and pizzas -- even vegan with vegan cheese --along with cauliflower crust. My only complaint was that we ordered the cauliflower and ended up getting a regular crust with an apology and offer to redo it. But by then we were hungry. The Azteca salad was spiced just right; flavorful. We were satisfied for sure. It was the patio was lovely and so was the people watching. Simply don't come here. It's always empty for a reason. The menu is an undercover scam and the service was horrible. Who has a kids menu pizza and "regular" size pizza that are the EXACT same size with an $11 difference? Absurd. Let our group order off the kids menu and then continued to notify us 10 minutes later that we were too old, only to serve us a miniature pizza for double the price. When we asked about the sizing the waiter confirmed the regular pizza was much bigger. Jokes on them because we had ordered 3 kids pizzas originally for a total of $36 and ended up ordering 1 normal for $22. Lost money and respect. Total joke. read more
