Pretty full after getting a vermicelli with lemon grass pork. Pretty solid and also had the pho ga which the broth was pretty good.

Good Vietnamese dishes that are different from pho bang but still offers the staples too! Yummy n takes credit cards

This Vietnamese spot in Chinatown is truly a gem! I've been meaning to go here for a while, but only got the chance to recently. When I went on a chilly day, the place was packed and we had to wait for a bit before we got a seat (but it wasn't too bad). The interior is casual with lots of Vietnamese decor and music. Service is a bit slow (maybe because they were super busy) but very nice. We got their banh xeo, nem nuong platter, banh cuon, and pho. Everything was so well-priced for NYC, huge portions, and delicious. I absolutely loved every dish and don't think I could choose a favorite. I would recommend trying other Vietnamese dishes other than your standard pho and rice plates (that you can try at other Vietnamese restaurants in NYC) and to go for one of their more unique options like banh canh cua, banh xeo, or hu tieu--all of which are more difficult to find. Amazing spot and I would definitely come back.

Service: 3.5/5 Food: 3.9/5 Price: under $20 Took my grandma out for lunch. It's her first time having pho in nyc + she's lived here for over 10 years! Quite a large venue, pretty slow for lunch. Dinner service gets much busier. Not much interaction with the servers. Tables are a little small for how many things they keep on it + how much space the serve-ware takes up. What I Ordered: - Hu Tieu Nam Vang: lots of liver slices, sweet soup (wish I had more) - Bun Bo Hue: gma said it was salty, blood was too firm, lots of meat, likes the noodle style

The foods were awesome, services were great, cost were very decents. This restaurant embarrassed other Fake vietnamese restaurant around New York Midtown/Manhattan which name started with "Pho xx". If you really wanted a real authentic Vietnamese foods then should come to this Kitchen Co Ut. This restaurant operates and the ower is Vietnamese.

The pho was fine, but a bit salty. Friends had the beef pho and complained it was under flavored. The worst part was the drinks, like Thai iced tea and coffee, they are pre-made and the concentrated drink just sits in the fridge which isn't very appetizing!

Finding viet food in nyc is hard! Let alone, good viet food and definitely a spot that does many dishes other than the popular pho and bun bo hue. There's a lot of dishes I miss eating and although I could make it at home, sometimes I don't want to. So I'm glad I found a place that reminds me of home a little bit. I was craving banh cuon but unfortunately they only make that on the weekend. So I got Banh it tran instead and their thit kho lunch special ($10). I finished with Che Ba Mau iykyk I love how modern this restaurant is yet so affordable.

Flavors for the most part were good Pho Bo - one of the better phos in the city - 4.5/5. Banh bot loc (tapioca dumplings) 4/5 Cha gio (crispy spring rolls) 4/5 Pork chop over rice 2.5/5. Not as much flavor as I would expect from this typical Vietnamese dish

Solid spot for Vietnamese food! I got the Banh Khot, Banh Trang Tron weekend special, and the Hu Tieu Nam Vang. This hit the spot and satisfied my Vietnamese food cravings. I also got a Vietnamese iced coffee which was delicious. They dont do reservations but I had no problem walking in on a Saturday afternoon and getting a table for two. Would for sure come back!

Really meager serving of pork in the vermicelli bowl. Otherwise, it is still flavorful; however, you will be hungry after.

Pho was just okay, didn't really have much flavor to it and the broth was forgettable. They also didn't have jalapeños which is an essential for me when it comes to a bowl of pho, so that was disappointing.

Honestly, there aren't that many delicious Vietnamese food places in NYC. Kitchen Co Ut isn't spectacular or amazing when compared to some of the options you can get in other states like California, but it has all the staples and some of the more difficult to get dishes, and they are all solidly executed. There are sometimes misses, but I've for the most part enjoyed the vast majority of the food I've had here. If you check out their Instagram, you can see their weekly specials which contains even more dishes that are oftentimes really hard to get in NYC. Service is standard and the restaurant setting is similar to those in the Chinatown area. It's casual, it's standard but it serves overall good Vietnamese food at a fair price point.

I always used to complain about the lack of good, authentic Vietnamese restaurants in NYC - but now Kitchen Co Ut is my go-to spot for Vietnamese food in Chinatown. The restaurant is clean and pretty spacious. The staff speaks English + Vietnamese and the menu is huge so there's something for everyone. We were fans of the banh khot (so crispy on the outside but still soft in the middle), the bo ne (which we wanted to order another one but they sold out), the crispy spring rolls, and all the noodle soups we ate were tasty. I also loved the fresh sugarcane juice that reminded me of my childhood and the strong Vietnamese coffee. We would've ordered desserts too if they were ready at the time, but all they had available was what was in the display cooler. This spot is also approved by my picky Vietnamese mother and aunt visiting from out of town, so there's that!

I got the pho ($21.78), which is steep for pho, but I guess that's Midtown prices for you. The wait was a slog--over 20 minutes for a bowl of pho, which other Yelp reviews warned about. When it finally arrived, the soup lacked that authentic pho aroma, which was a letdown. On the plus side, the beef was fresh, and the reusable to-go bag was a nice touch. Decent, but the wait and price make it hard to love. Might try again if they speed things up.

I ordered "Plain Pho", which is described as just broth and noodles, no garnish or meat. After waiting 30 minutes, for what is literally the simplest item on the menu, the bowl is brought out and it's a bowl of broth with a couple slices of chicken. No noodles. When I inquired, the server told me it's because I ordered the Plain Pho... yea and I said it comes with noodles and broth. They told me they could get me noodles, but acted like they were doing me a favor by fetching noodles for me, which was quite offputting because the noodles were quite literally half of the dish I actually ordered. How does one wait half-an-hour at a very casual fast Vietnamese food place, for premade soup and noodles, and still have the order wrong? In the end, I did get my noodles and broth, but the fact that I had to spend this much time and also justify my request for noodles (which are part of the dish) is quite insane. I put this at 2 stars for now, because I enjoyed my first time. Hopefully the service will improve.

My daughter got the famous wings and those were solid. The kids especially liked the prawn chips that came with them--ended up finishing those pretty quickly. So when my family stumbled into Pho 39, a tiny spot with just a handful of tables tucked away from the chaos outside, it felt less like finding a restaurant and more like discovering a Rebel outpost that somehow survived undetected in the middle of Imperial territory. The menu is exactly what you'd expect from a solid Vietnamese spot: pho, combination rice plates, the usual lineup. We were ready to order and move on with our lives. Then we saw the tacos. Vietnamese tacos. On the menu. Sitting right there between the banh mi and the spring rolls like they'd always belonged. Nobody in my family said anything for a full three seconds, which for us is basically a standing ovation. We ordered the duck spring rolls to start, which were fresh, well packed, and disappeared faster than a starfighter in hyperspace. For the mains we went with the beef flank pho and the banh mi combination special. The pho had a clean, well developed broth that clearly had some time put into it, and the beef flank was tender enough to make you slow down and pay attention. The banh mi combo was solid, balanced, and hit all the right notes. We did not get the tacos this visit, which means we have a built in reason to return and nobody can argue with that logic. For a small room in the middle of one of the busiest cities on the planet, Pho 39 manages to feel genuinely calm and focused. Good food, good value, and a menu with enough surprises to keep things interesting. The Force is strong with this little spot.
