I had used Alliance Overhead Door in the past and they were the first call I made. The owner, Chris, took my call on a Sunday around 11am and asked me a few questions to diagnose the issue. It was likely an internal spring that had likely broken and needed replacement. I was afraid there would be an extra charge for a Sunday repair, but Chris so nope. So, I decided to move forward with getting the issue handled. Chris needed to address a current customer and then could be at my place around 1pm. As he was on his way, he texted me with an ETA, which was nice. Once at my place, he confirmed the issue and recommended at Torsion Spring Conversion. He confirmed the price, which was very reasonable, and he got right to work. Within an hour the old broken spring shaft was replaced with the new torsion spring rated for 25,000 cycles. Not only did he fix the issue, he also took the time to inspect the door and lubed the wheels and hinges before leaving. Now I am back in business with a working garage door. I also appreciate gator garage door sending me emails and photos of the repairs being done so I was kept in real time updates. The arm that pulls the door snapped, tore out the bolts, and damaged the door itself. Instead of taking responsibility, they blamed us for "using it too often," claimed we should have been doing maintenance, and said the door was too heavy. That explanation makes no sense. If maintenance was supposedly necessary, why wasn't that clearly communicated or followed up on before something broke? And if the door was too heavy for the setup, why wasn't the proper reinforcement installed from the beginning instead of only after the damage was done? What we got was poor workmanship, excuses, and a warranty that apparently means very little when it's time for them to stand behind their work. Definitely not calling them again, and I would not recommend them to anyone.
