    Chicken Pesto Sandwich
    Chari M.

Place is clean, friendly service....however the portion in sandwiches is very poor, a friend and I both ordered sandwiches for brunch, the amount of meat and veggies put in it is petty! I ordered Pesto Chicken, as you can see in photo, where's my pesto along with the rest of ingredients? If we ever come back it will only be for the French toast as they don't cheat you on serving amount as our other friend had that for brunch, I honestly rather spend money elsewhere that serves better portion for the price. Their brewed coffee was also not fresh, it was near to room temp, so more likely been there for couple hours.

I love this place I was so excited to come here after I flew back home It was in the top places I wanted to see. The french toast is to DIE FOR. oh my gosh the food and the syrup and everything. The employees were really nice and got everything taken care of I havent been here in a while and forgot that it came with strawberries and I'm allergic and they took care of it and remade it right away! I missed coming here all the time w family when I used to live here if you are thinking of somewhere to go with family I would 10000% reccomend coming here to get some of their delicous french toast.

We are new to Arizona, so I stopped in to try this place, which seems similar to a Panera. I tried the wild rice soup and the cracked chicken sandwich. I thought both were really good. My husband wants to try the cranberry sandwich next time. The place is super cute inside. What impressed me most is the manager engaged me and we talked for over five minutes about kneaders's versus Panera. He was sharing how everything is made in house and the bakers come in super early in the morning to get everything baked fresh and all the soups made. They have a lovely display of goodies and breads. I tried the chocolate bread and it was excellent! They also have someone who will make a lovely gift package if you need a hostess gift or maybe a prize for an event. They have fun events like bingo night where you can win prizes and they have classes on baking and decorating cookies. It seems like a really special place and we look forward to returning. I appreciate Jose taking the time to share his enthusiasm for Kneaders with me.

Untouched. This is how it came.

Kneaders - at $12 for JUST a sandwich...DO BETTER! Ordered 4 sandwiches, all jammed into the small square to-go containers, no sides, no drinks, and woth a $50 receipt later, we were all disappointed. Bread ripped on both sides making it a total mess, the meat right in the middle, leaving all edges just bread and lettuce. Kneaders used to be a nice treat, comforting sandwiches, but I'm done. WAY too expensive for what you get and way too basic to choose Kneaders over so many sandwich shops. Such a shame.

Turkey Sandwich- this was after they added turkey to it. It originally came with a third of that ‍

So disappointed!!! Went in and ordered a turkey bacon sandwich for my husband and I got the turkey sandwich and soup combo. When our food arrived I took a bite of my sandwich only to discover there was no turkey. I opened it up and there was a sliver of shredded turkey. I ended up taking my sandwich to the counter and telling them to add turkey because there were none inside. She took my sandwich to the people preparing the food and quickly returned it to our table. Can't say it was much better! They added some turkey but still wasn't good. It was dry and very sad! I ended up throwing it away. My husband also said his sandwich was very dry and had the same shredded turkey. When you're spending $30 on sandwiches, you expect more. I expect more! I won't be returning to this location. Please see pics of my sandwich after they added more turkey.

My review went up on 5/21 and by the very next day, 5/22, a regional manager named Jayson responded publicly as the business owner, and left his email. I emailed him that same day, and after I followed up on 5/27 he wrote back, copied the store manager, and asked me to send my phone number and a good time so we could talk it through directly. I did exactly that, same day. That was 5/27. It is now 6/9 and I have not heard a word back. No email, no call, no text. The original incident was 5/10, so we are at 30 days now. This wasn't a stray hair - that's relatively benign and sometimes happens in food prep, not great but harmless. This was a different category of foreign body in food: fragments that looked like they came off equipment, which means whatever produced them is presumably still in use, still capable of doing it again to the next person. This is what made the unresponsiveness frustrating. It's not about my daughter's one açaí bowl, it's about whether the thing that caused it ever got looked at. A simple "we looked at it, can't determine yet what happened, but we'll update you" would have been fine, but I got boilerplate "you deserve better" corporate slop. I didn't want my ego stroked, I wanted them to look into something serious. They are great at moving fast in public: their Yelp! reply was up within a day, right under my review, where everyone can see it. But the private follow-up, the part nobody else is watching, has now gone three weeks radio silent, after they were the ones who asked for my number, but never used it. Fast when it's visible, and crickets when it's not, tells you where the attention really goes. If you're reading this and trying to decide, take a little time with the reviews here, the detailed ones and the thin ones, the recent and the older, and decide for yourselves if there is a pattern or not. I'm done with them, they lost my trust. For the record, their açaí bowls when they don't contain bits of industrial machinery are pretty good, but we'll go to Swami's when we are in Oceanside and will try to find something else in the valley.

The service people were trying to take orders, attending tables, helping customers to pick out pastries, all at the same time. Then they were bringing out food running around, trying to find the right table, and after failing to do so, would bring food back to the kitchen. It was 3 of them, running around, getting all confused. And it was only 1 person in the kitchen??? I've never seen anything like that before. The place gave me anxiety. And it wasn't even busy that day. It was Tuesday morning for crying out loud. I hate to think what's happening there over weekends! My order got completely screwed up. I got charged for two sponge cakes, instead of one. The baguette that they brought to the table 30 min later, was tiny, look like half baguette, when I ordered full baguette so we could split it with my mother. I know what full baguette supposed to look like. When I asked the cashier about that, she told me it was a full-size sandwich. Bullshit. They sure charged me for full size though. Full size baguette doesn't take 4 bites to finish! And coffee comes with the sandwich together. Coffee doesn't come first, it's not a drink! But they brought coffee first. Between coffee and a sandwich it took 20 minutes. The prices are very high for what they offer. They charge full price for half size portions. And the bread was dry and stale. Don't tell me it was today's fresh bread. I would never believe it. I feel like they ripped me off, frankly. So high prices, small portions and the service sucks. We are not going back there. There are lots of breakfast places like that all over town. The competition is overwhelming. No problem.

I opted for the Ham and cheese croissant, and the sausage croissant. Both breading was fantastic. Good flavor, airy yet crispy, just really well made. I will definitely come back for the ham and cheese croissant. The sausage croissant wasn't really for me (the bread was) it truly is a big sausage in there. It had good flavor, just isn't for me. If they could make just a plain cheese or bacon and cheese that would hit the spot lol We also got their regular cinnamon roll. The breading had a lovely sweet cinnamon flavor and the icing on top had a delicious creamy taste without being overly sweet. The odd part for us was the filling in the inside. I couldn't decide if I cared for it or not, I was almost feeling it was pushing the sweetness over just a bit so l may or may not get that again. Even tho they have seating inside, it feels more like a grab and go. You can def enjoy your item there. But I wouldn't say a spot where you can sit and catch up with a Friend or read a book. It also felt a bit too warm and stuffy so cranking down the AC a bit would help it feel more inviting especially from coming outside from the Arizona heat.
