Eating banana pancakes while listening to Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson on a lazy Sunday at China Walls on a beautiful day!

This place is the spot that always hits and I am so grateful it is still open! Has been around for quite a while and for a good reason. Whether your hungover, too lazy to cook, or simply just want to grab a breakfast bite cause your hungry, this is the place to go. I always go into a food coma after I eat here and am more than satisfied. The aunties that take your order are incredibly friendly and help you decide when you are having a difficult time since there's just too many good items on the menu. The ambiance is very family style but if you want more of a quieter area to eat your food, get takeout and bring it down to the tables by the marina water side. Or bring it to the beach or the top of the mountain or lookout! Im telling you Koa pancake house will hit anywhere! Good pricing for good big sized portions

Ready for a simple breakfast after a good hike. We chose Koa Pancake House since it's closer and because they make good Vinha d'alhos (Portuguese style marinated pork). If you haven't tried it yet, then come and visit them. I don't know of any other place that makes it. But...we ended up with French toast, two over easy eggs and crispy bacon. That's because I'm cutting on my white rice intake. Even as simple as this is yummm! It's soak enough without making squishy or soggy. The bacon is cooked crispilicious! To finish it off, we had the nutella crêpes with strawberries. This is good but not something that I'll order again...it's too sweet. It's too sweet. But if you have a sweeter tooth than me, then this is for you ;) It's not on photo but I also got a coffee. Please add another 2 scoops to get that caffeine in ;). It's really mild. The staffs are friendly and quick. There was about 4 of them in the front, which made things move faster. It almost felt like get in and get out kinda dine in thing. Thank you for reading my review. Have a great long weekend!

Great location for breakfast, mostly local customers and home town feel. You order at the counter or by their QR code. The food is then delivered to your table. You clear your table. Friendly atmosphere

Great service, love the quaint mom & pop feel. Enjoyed my breakfast. So many choices on breakfast/brunch items.

Great food and even better people! We stopped for breakfast before heading to Hanauma Bay and it was the best pit stop. Breakfast plates and waffles were very good and staff was more than welcoming. Amazing ambiance - Lovely place to sit and sip coffee over great food.

This was our first time at Koa's. Kenni Rae was a great host and was super friendly! The food was super good and had good portion sizes!

I ordered the steak and eggs and upgraded my pancakes to the macadamia nut one. The steak was cooked as I ordered, medium, but it had absolutely no flavor and had a burnt flavor on the outside. The pancake was however delicious. Good portions for the price but quality is hit or miss. Coffee was typical diner coffee. Good place to stop for a bite with friendly service.

When in Hawaii, we try to eat at different places. We were leaving for Los Angeles soon, so we decided to get a bite to eat here. Luckily, they were serving breakfast and lunch. This place is definitely casual. Clean though. Plenty of free parking in a shared lot. Order at the counter, and they will bring your food to your table. Luckily they weren't to busy, so finding a place to sit was easy. I love a good omelette and this omelette I chose because I knew I wouldn't be able to get it in CA. What was different? It had Portuguese sausage! It was good, but it could have been better if the sausage was spicy. Thank goodness for Tabasco sauce. With the wheat toast, I was definitely full. I would come back.

Knowing me, I was most interested in the dessert, but we ended up dining here on a whim. We had really great service when we dined in. I ordered the oxtail soup because I hadn't had it before, which fulfills my rule of trying new foods when I can. It was tasty, with a unique spice blend reminiscent of other beef soups I've had in the past. However, I was particularly wowed however by the complementary bread and raspberry jam. Call me simple, but the bread was actually the star of the show for me, perfectly soft and buttery. The location in Waikiki is perhaps a clear reminder that it is a tourism city. The atmosphere is that of fine dining. Not a bad place to grab a meal when on vacation in Honolulu.

Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. Our waitress seemed to be having a rough day. The table behind us had to send food back three different times because they kept receiving the wrong orders, and there was about a 30-minute period where our server completely disappeared. We had to ask another staff member for our check and to-go boxes. She also never came back to check on our table or refill our water. Everyone has off days, so we're hoping that's all it was. We'd definitely come back because the food was so good--we just hope to have a different server next time.

We ended up getting their kalbi loco moco and a short stack of buttermilk pancakes to share. The kalbi loco moco definitely hit the spot. The pancakes were fluffy and was almost the size of the plate it was served on. Price for the pancakes were reasonable at $10.95. There was no notice on Instagram, and we had driven all the way out to Koko Marina (during normal business hours) for nothing. A couple of weeks later, I called several times to make sure that they'd be open. No answer. I messaged the business on Instagram, and they answered that they were adjusting their hours. They promised to be open when we planned to visit. We parked easily and for free by Zippy's. We were greeted cheerfully and noticed the brightly decorated shop... very festive and cute! There was a comfy sofa corner, children's corner, and Instagramable wall murals. The back patio overlooks the marina! We each ordered the Combo: one savory waffle sandwich, a sweet waffle, and a drink for $20. I got the Frenchie sandwich with pickles, smoked ham, garlic & herbs aioli, and emmental cheese. It was filling! I liked the plain, Authentic waffle. It had a nice crisp and some caramelization on the outside.
