However two things stand out: - they teppanyaki-style steak made to order - their dessert selection is legit The steak was really good and you can just keep coming back for more. The dessert spread was impressive for the typical buffet. The cheesecake, tiramisu, and crème brûlée were all really really good. We were there on 8/18 to celebrate a birthday. The hostess and waitress were wonderful. The chef, however... Somehow we ended up with what I jokingly said to be a defective chef... Dropped the knife on the floor and did not exchange it. Just wiped it off... It really grossed me out. The chef also to appear to have taken a liking to one of the ladies at the table and offered significant extra food which should have been distributed evenly. There was not the usual pleasantries and his jokes were dry at best... His technique... I'll spare you the details and just say that it's definitely not up to par with previous visits... Listen, this is my 2nd time back to Kobe Steakhouse & Lounge. The reason for the 3 stars is because they made us wait for so long before a chef/cook showed up to our table. The waitress came and took our drink orders and then did a Houdini act as she disappeared and never came back literally never came back. The only thing that was consistent this evening was the "busser guys" they was coming to get drinks and replace items as they soup and salad had finally arrived to the table. I personally had to get up and inquire as to why are we having to wait so long. It wasn't until after the chef finally showed up and cooked that another cook came over that we recognized from last time we came who then told us they were very short staffed tonight. Listen...I'm understanding, had they told us that they were short staffed and that there would be a little bit of a wait we could have packed some patience. Do better...because of there inability to communicate the issue of why we are waiting...our party of 9 only had only 1 hour to enjoy the live band as they leave at 11:00pm. Had a wonderful time here for brunch recently to celebrate my friend's birthday. The music seemed really loud in the restaurant, though it was a room away in the lounge. Nice Beatles tunes, though I must have missed my fave songs-huge song library to choose from I guess. Loved the fried rice, chicken wings, ribs, miso soup, chicken teppanyaki dish. The bacon was very uniquely prepared and tasty. The scrambled eggs with cheese were pretty good. The pancakes were good. I didn't try the French toast or the omelet station. The teppanyaki station, with freshly prepared steak, lacked flavor. I requested some ginger sauce I remember having at a popular teppanyaki grill chain, but the person preparing the steak didn't have any. We wanted something new, and we got it! The night started off perfectly with a yummy martini and excellent starters. Honestly, I would have been happy had I just had a few bowls of their soup, but luckily my meal didn't end there. I ordered the ocean combo of scallops and filet minion. The dish absolutely did not disappoint. Pair great food with a fun atmosphere and excellent service, and you have an experience that is worth the cost. After dinner, we sat just outside the bar area so we could hear the live band playing. Next time we'll be sure to purchase tickets for the show. Definitely a place to go for a celebration. This was one of the worst dining experiences we've had in a long time. We chose to sit at a regular table (not hibachi) so we could have a quick dinner before another commitment. Unfortunately, nothing about this experience was quick--or acceptable. The meals didn't even come out together. Our table of three never ate at the same time. The first dish came out, then the second didn't arrive until after the first person had already finished. We literally sat there watching each other eat instead of enjoying a meal together. On top of that, both meals were wrong--grilled chicken instead of hibachi, incorrect sides, just completely off. The third meal (chilean sea bass) never came. After 45 minutes with no check-ins from our server, we had to track someone down. When the dish finally showed up, the fish was raw and had to be sent back. It never returned. After an hour and a half, one person in our party still had not eaten at all, and we had to leave for another obligation. To make matters worse, we were still charged for incorrect meals. A $25 gift card doesn't come close to making up for a $50+ meal that was never served. No manager ever came to our table or even identified themselves. While someone apologized, there was no real attempt to fix the situation or take ownership. We also noticed a nearby table having similar issues and leaving upset. Mistakes happen--but this was a complete failure in service, timing, communication, and accountability. Dining out should mean eating together, and that didn't happen here. read more

I ordered Cesear Salad, Kobe Beef Sliders which came with french fries and Shrimp Tempura in order to piece together a meal. The salad was good. The beef sliders were satisfactory but nothing special. The french fries were quite good and I enjoyed the shrimp tempura. The waitress honoured my request for no onions and no mayo on the sliders... very good. The waitress kept my "wooder" filled... good. The men's washroom was reasonably clean and had paper towels available... good. The filet my mother ordered was overcooked and she sent it back. The second time it was still cooked more than she liked but she accepted it though I could tell she was not totally happy... not good. This establishment does not have Pepsi available for a soft drink... not good. I had to ask twice to get paper napkins that I requested... not so good. In another room where you needed a ticket to get in, a band played some music that sounded like just a bunch of junk... not good At the end of the evening, I came away neither hungry nor thirsty... fantastic. If I was to assign a letter grade as is done in school, this establishment would get a B-. read more

After a short wait in the front of the restaurant--which was nice and even had a small indoor pond--we were seated. Parking can be a bit tricky, so I'd recommend arriving early. They share a lot with Spaghettinis and what looks like a hotel nearby, so spaces fill up fast. The restaurant has your typical hibachi-style setup, and the food was good. Our hostess was friendly and attentive, even brought my daughter ice cream for her birthday. Each of us ordered something different: I had the filet mignon and shrimp, my daughter went with the New York steak, and my son chose the teriyaki. Everything was flavorful and cooked well. November 2025, My first time here for my birthday, we arrived at our reservation time of 5pm, we enjoyed the 90 minute dinner seated next to strangers that we enjoyed talking and laughing with together. Wasn't overly impressed with the food because it was really just all tossed together on a hot grill and fried up with a lot of oil. In fact, the rice and the vegetables really tasted like cooking oil with a lot of salt the cook was putting all over the food. I shouldn't have ordered the filet mignon since I asked for medium rare but because the cook chops it all up into dog food bite pieces and fried it all up on the hot grill with a lot of vegetable oil the meat turned out tough and overly well done. We brought our own expensive bottle of champagne and ended up sharing two glasses with three of the strangers seated next to us. The restaurant still charged us a $15 cork fee just for opening up the bottle for us and us bringing our own champagne. I'm not sure if I will return because I can wok up a better tasting meal with better tasting rice at home. Our bill came to $126 for just the two of us for two meals that tasted more like Panda Express. The birthday singing was way too short. On a positive note, we did enjoy our company and the atmosphere inside was nice. Our waitress and the cook were just okay, pleasant, no personalities, but both seemed to be rushed since more people started coming in around 5:45pm , so that personal touch was lost among the staff. Honestly though, I probably won't be returning to this restaurant since I just don't like the taste of fried cooking oil food for the high price we paid... Sat at the teppangrill for dinner. Food was decent but it's not necessarily cheap, so you're mainly paying for the experience. Was expecting more with the chef an the performance. They flicked a piece of rice in your mouth, not shrimp. Volcano fire with the onions. And that was it. When I was younger, there were more tricks, like flicking shrimp in your mouth and eggs shells in the top hat. Before I get to the good stuff, I'll get into my 4 rating due to the not so good.... Parking is a big downer! I came for a Saturday evening at the lounge so I arrived about 6:45pm and there was zero parking and no valet. There was a lot located about 200 feet away. Not really bad but if you have on shoes not made for walking lol you've been warned. Now, once parked and inside- our table was labeled and ready for our arrival. We were immediately greeted by our server with water. As we looked at the menu our drink orders were taken (Margaritas and Lemon drops) and once they came we ordered. We ordered a couple Kobe Rolls (which were perfection!) and some Sliders and fries. The band began at 8pm and kept us dancing and singing until 11pm! I definitely will be coming back to the lounge and I plan to visit the restaurant to have more of their amazing food. Outside of the parking, I'd have nothing bad to say.
