Great poke spot! Came on Thursday to grab poke to go. They were super friendly and hospitable when my bride was asking questions, and offered her the chance to sample. The flexibility in ordering the amount of protein portion for BYOB and the unlimited options for toppings was right down our alley. They were so accommodating for my bride, asking her if she wanted items on the side for items she was unsure (she goes to poke because I like it :) We both really enjoyed our bowls and this is our new "go to" for poke. I spotted an ad for Koibito on Facebook for BOGO poke bowls. So when Mrs. K. said she wanted poke, we headed to Koibito. Parking here is interesting. There are a few street spots for takeout and then a garage that seems to require payment. I never did figure that out. Poke was great. We tried the "First Timer's Bowl" and the "Tuna Bowl", both of which were good portions with a nice variety of flavor and texture with a good portion of fish. You can also build your own. Prices were decent considering that this is a few ounces of sushi-grade fish with lots of toppings. A nice meal, very enjoyable, perhaps a little steep if you were actually buying two. I wanted something light, fresh, and quick for dinner. Koibito checked all the boxes. The small BYO bowl was the perfect portion and every single ingredient was quality. Didn't even need any sauce. Fresh & tasty poke bowls! This place is pretty new, and I'm so happy to have it close by for a new go-to lunch spot. The friendly staff explained all of the options (signature bowls or build-your-own with white rice, brown rice, or salad base) and were very patient and helpful, ensuring that we got exactly what we wanted. They also let us know that if you download the app, you get $5 off your first order and will earn points every time you purchase that go toward rewards. Good to know! We tried the tuna trio signature bowl as well as the small bowl with one protein (I chose Hawaiian tuna). And then we piled on the topping... you can pick as many as you'd like! I got seaweed salad, crab salad, edamame, ginger, tobiko, cucumbers, and more. Even though I got the small bowl, I was stuffed by the end and couldn't even finish all of the rice. Visited on opening night and could not have been happier with our selection. If you know Poke bowls, then I don't need to take you through the set up other than to clarify a couple of differences I noticed in their set up versus others. First off, they don't offer different sized bowls, but rather focus on the number of scoops of protein that you can get with your bowl. However, they do have some really great ingredient choices and alternatives, including cauliflower rice, which my lady really really enjoyed. She also enjoyed the crab salad, which also seems to be made in house versus store brought and that's definitely a plus. I also appreciated the teriyaki marinated salmon, and it also seemed to be made in house. All of the rest of the extras were spot on for what you would expect, and they were very generous with the quantities of each additional added ingredient - hopefully that wasn't just an opening day. added touch!. They also had a really good selection of independently branded drinks which included a ginger lemonade, and a black cherry punch that we really enjoyed. Having worked for Pepsi for several years it was good to see someone take a chance on beverage options other than typical Coke and Pepsi pours. Service was quick, friendly, and engaging, especially on opening night. The location is in the bottom of an apartment complex and on a very busy front street but parking is available for to go orders on the side and there is a garage in the back. We visited pretty late on opening night so I think we missed the rush, but I definitely would plan ahead and even potentially call in your order if you need to get in and out quick. I know they are probably late to the Poke trend, but as far as I am aware, this is the only option in the immediate area so definitely worth a visit if you're craving a little Poke. read more

Pricing is based on the # of scoops of protein, and they don't skimp on the toppings, so even a small or medium is pretty filling. I was super impressed with the allergen list right up front and that ALL of the sauces were gluten free! (they're made with tamari). So nice to have options. My son and I both did the build your own bowl options. He loved the salmon, tuna, and seaweed salad with Masayo, and my spicy tuna, tuna, and octopus was great. Good selection of drink options (tractor juices and sodas), and they had mochi also if you swing by and want a sweet treat. Really friendly staff. Very overpriced though. I got a medium bowl with avocado and it was $18. The medium bowl itself was tiny, smaller than the size of my hand. Quality of the food was good. They don't cut the avocado though, they just plop a half an avocado on top and you basically can't mix it into the bowl unless you have a knife to cut it. My advice would be to either lower the price or up your portion size to reflect the price. Also try cutting the avocado into bite sized chunks. read more

All ingredients tasted very fresh, octopus was not tough and was easy to eat, rice was warm and tasted fresh. Bowls could have easily covered two meals. The juice (tea?) was very good.
