First time trying kamikaze fries, and they're SO GOOD. It's drench in a few sauces with pieces of beef and kimchi, and it all pairs so well together. The beef bowl was not the best I've had, but for a food court mall, it's decent. The ahi tuna bowl was good. I haven't tried their other foods, but I would 100% go here just for the fries :)

Overall this was a pretty good Koja Kitchen location, especially as a food court spot - I've had some misses a lot in the past with food court spots. The short rib bowl was pretty good, with decent serving sizes - the meat was a little too sweet for my liking though. The chicken salad was amazing though - the option isn't on their signs or online, but if you go through the kiosk, you can customize a salad. We got a southwest style salad with fried chicken (other options are smoked chicken, grilled chicken etc) I've never heard of koja serving non asian salads before! Anyhow, good food court option! Everything is self serve, you order through a kiosk and pick up the order. There's a food court area to eat your food which can be a bit loud or you can go to the balcony.

Was in valley fair and craving some Korean food, and Koja was the closest thing I could find. It's a fast food chain that specializes in Korean fusion! It was a busy wait in line and for the food, as it was on a Sunday afternoon during peak lunch hours. It took about a 15 minute wait overall for our order come in of fries and tacos. The fries tasted frozen and could have been cooked more. Flavor was there, but the heat was not... The tacos looked appetizing, but the meat wasn't too flavorful, just lots of sauce on the tacos itself which made it overwhelming. Would come here again but would order different items...

We got the pulled pork burger and the bulgogi burger. The pork one had a mayo sauce w arugula that was so good and the crispy rice patties were perfectly crunchy and chewy. The bulgogi was a bit too sweet and didn't taste like traditional bulgogi at all... just sweet meat... but still ok. Both were pretty overpriced so not sure if I would get again but the staff was nice and the food came out quick

Honestly the veggie zen bowl + fried egg was pretty good! Definitely surpassed expectations. The soy/mushroom patty that is the meat substitute in this dish was very moist and had great umami flavor! The bowl came with a lot of rice but half of the rice was soaked in soy/teriyaki sauce + egg yolk so it was delicious. Good option that left me feeling full and also feeling like I made a healthy choice, which is always great!

Whenever I'm craving for a different taste, something that will lift my mood, I always go to Koja Kitchen. I usually order their tacos. But today I tried their Koja. I like their Korean twist on Tacos. Zen Taco is my favorite, paired with their crosscut fries. Today I finally tried their Koja rice bun. It's not my favorite texture-wise. But it's something different to try. This will remain one of my dependable go-to at the Valley Fair Food Court. The chicken meat was tasty and flavorful. It's a little bit spicy.

Good food at the mall when you're craving some nice bbq spare ribs and rice. Good portions and very fresh tasting. Not overly saucy and made to order.

Inside valley fair mall food court. I wish this was better! I got the classic bulgogi burger. The meat was pretty good, little over done but flavor was great. Still chewable and juicy. Lettuce got a bit wilted from heat of everything. The "buns" are made of crispy rice!! It looked so good. But the rice was hard and difficult to eat. Such a bummer. The concept is cool. I would be willing to try a bowl version next time. The service to order was quick and friendly. Food took a bit. But they were busy

Line was short. Ordering was easy, in person or online. Food came out quickly. Staff very friendly.

My boyfriend and I were across the street enjoying the Winchester Mystery house and were so hungry we decided to go to the mall across the street to find food. The line for Joeys restaurant was two hour wait so we went to the food court which I don't usually do, but I came across Kohl's kitchen and the food on the menu looked interesting to me. I ordered the veggie rice bowl with soy bean mushroom patty and was very pleased by the taste. There are never many vegan options, this was pure luck and so flavorful. I asked to not have the egg on my bowl to keep it vegan. The restaurant looked very clean and I felt healthier eating their food over any other in that food court, kind staff working too.

First time to put my yelp review but we have tried their food several times. This time we ordered the original koja, love the rice bun,it has a different crisp compared to regular bun, korean bbq boneless short ribs is so good delicious, just a right combination of sweetness and a little sourness from the vinaigrette ,one order is big enough for me and hubby.

Another one of the Asian food spots I go to at Valley Fair mall. Koja kitchen is Korean Japanese fusion food. Simple and delicious. I usually just get a beef bowl. It has beef and rice with veggies and kimchee. Good for a light lunch. Good thing about this place is the line doesn't get too long like some of the other places in the food court. Usually only 1 or 2 people in line whenever I go there. So you can get there food right away without too much of a wait. Highly recommend.

Had a chance to try Koja Kitchen yesterday at the Valley Fair mall and this was actually really yummy. This is located in the food court and if you are looking for burgers, fries or bowls this is a good place for you. This is a Korean Fusion inspired restaurant so if you are looking for that kind of food, you have found your place! For our order we got: * Chicken rice bowl: this was really good, it came with rice, juicy pieces of chicken (loved the marination), kimchi and salad. Overall it was really good and enjoyed every bite of this! * Fries (pulled pork ones) - I forgot the name but I always enjoy the coconut pulled pork and the sauce this comes with. This was very flavorful. Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed both dishes and would go back again!

The beef was flavorful and well-seasoned, but it wasn't as tender as other shaken beef dishes I've had. The texture was more on the chewy/crunchy side, and there also weren't a ton of pieces of meat. For around $20, I felt like it was a bit on the pricier side for the portion. That being said, the flavor was really good! I also appreciated that they included a little pâté on the side, and the sauce that came with the dish was delicious. I just wish there were a little more meat and that it was more tender. Overall, a tasty dish, but I'm not sure the portion quite matched the price.

If you're going to be paying $60-$70 for two people, you would at least expect your food not to be burnt and the staff not be rude! I have been looking forward to going to this place for two years, it was a birthday dinner and I was so disappointed by my experience. I understand that it's downtown San Jose and we came in the evening, so maybe that's just how closing staff is. First off when we were seated, I asked to be moved to a more comfortable's table because the chairs were really uncomfortable for me. The staff seemed irritated and said "I guess" which was the first red flag because it's nerve-racking enough to ask for a special request and to be met with an unprofessional answer like that was disheartening. Secondly, two orders of dumplings came out burnt, which was seriously disappointing. We could barely eat them. We didn't end up finishing them. I brought this up to staff. He told me they weren't burnt and that's just how they are. I know the difference between burnt and browned and these were definitely burnt hard on the bottom and inedible. He begrudgingly told me well "I'm sorry but you'd still would have to pay for another order". I don't think that's fair at all so I said "it's fine were ok" I don't wanna give this company any more of my money anyway if this is how they treat their customers. Lastly, once we were done with our food and paid the check, the man came back to our table and asked us if there was anything he could do for us and how if we enjoyed our meal this felt like a slap in the face after everything I've already asked of him that he refused and denied and being met with a disingenuous offer just felt petty. All in all, I wouldn't go here if you're looking for food that is not burnt Service that is helpful and hospitable. Andexperience that is anything above fast casual dining.

I wanted to give a big thank you to the entire staff, and especially to our waiter, Daniel. It's tucked behind the buildings just off Saratoga's main strip. Trust Google Maps, head to the rear parking lot, and follow the sign through the alley to the restaurant. Dinner is prix fixe only -- $93 as of August 2026. We mentioned that we had plans afterward and just wanted a lighter dinner and some wine, and they were incredibly gracious about letting us split one prix fixe. Honestly, the portions still felt very generous, and we ended up spending about the same amount on wine anyway. The wine list is small but really thoughtfully curated, and they also allow you to bring your own bottle for a corkage fee. The standout for me was the Hokkaido scallop with crab and caramelized carrot. Genuinely one of the best dishes I've had in a long time. A couple of dishes were liberal with the finishing salt, but the flavors, seasoning, creativity, and technique were top tier. Everything is cooked to order by the chef, and it showed -- every course came out beautifully prepared and cooked to perfection. The whole place feels like a passion project. The chef has spent decades in the industry, including time in Shanghai and Hawaii, and it feels like he and his wife basically said, "This is what we do, this is the food we love -- let's make a place for it." And I love that. There are some rough edges that come with making the space work for them, but the things that actually matter -- food, service, organization, and cleanliness -- were excellent. Even the single restroom was very clean and well kept. It's a small, intimate space, so I definitely recommend making a reservation. That said, they seemed genuinely accommodating to everyone who came through and clearly care about making people feel welcome. More than anything, the restaurant just felt happy. Everyone around us was having a great time, people were ordering liberally from the wine list, and by the time we left around 7, it felt like a room full of people who understood exactly what this place is about. GOGA isn't trying to win you over with a bunch of empty promises and trendy decor. It's about really good food, wine, and hospitality from people who clearly care about what they're doing. I'd love to see the space evolve over time, but never at the expense of the food or the wonderfully unique experience they've created. We'll absolutely be back -- brunch is next.

Rent must be up there as it's not a bargain restaurant but the quality is very good. Let's start with pricing, $95 plus tax and a 3% charge for credit cards, with wine you're going to be at $125 pp. Dinner is a Prix Fixe thing and they don't have alternate choices on every entree. They had crab covered scallop for the appetizer and my wife is allergic shellfish so the chef made a wonderful rare Ahi Tuna appetizer with a miso flare, but this was a special request. The interior isn't anything special and we went when the air conditioning wasn't working very well so it was hot and humid in the restaurant. There was only one server that night and the main chef, but only four tables were being served. Wondering how it would be when they have 8-10 tables going at the same time. Here's how the food rates: Ahi Tuna Appetizer: A Crab covered Scallops: A+ This was a standout dish Fish Taco: C+ nothing special here but fried fish in a tortilla Wagyu Flank Steak: B Nice Flavor, but not a premium cut Tiramisu w/rasberries: B+ I know this would be difficult given the rent in downtown Saratoga, but a prix fixe at $75 would be more appropriate for this level of food. I am looking forward to trying their weekend brunch as that venue allows you to choose from a brunch and lunch menu.
