The food was really good good, average portion sizes. Beautiful plating including fresh flower on the plate. The interior is beautiful in this second floor restaurant, so be aware that there are stairs to entrance if an issue. I do not know if there is an elevator option. We got there about an hour before closing and were seated right away. The service was adequate for sure, but was not welcoming and it appeared that maybe a conflict was happening with the workers present. That is my only negative, the vibe of the server. Parking was easy and free and lots of other cool shops close by to walk around as well as a live music performance happening which was great.

Khao Soy Curry Coconut Mocktail (with vodka added)

We stumbled upon this restaurant in Kōloa by chance and were SO glad we tried it. The service was perfect - each person who helped us went out of their way to be kind and helpful. We had two rolls and a curry dish and they were all AMAZING. The flavors were rich and fresh, and the sushi was incredible. The server made beautiful cocktails and even packed us a Thai Tea for the morning. I highly recommend coming here! We had the Spider Deluxe Roll, Tokyo Dream Roll, Khao Soy, and Gyoza

Party of 6, and we loved the menu options to get family style and lots of variety. A bit before our reservation, we get a text that shares they only have Thai food, no sushi or hibachi. We decided we could make that work. We ordered the pineapple rice combo, one chicken and one shrimp pad Thai, larb lettuce wraps, khao soy, and cashew prik pao. When we tried to decide our favorite, it was a battle, but the curry came in first, the combination pineapple fried rice was a tight tie for first, and chicken pad Thai was right behind - we all were happy! We had great service and highly suggest you check out this hidden gem!

We had the best time in Kauai, and this little Thai spot was one of the highlights of our trip! We were just exploring one afternoon, craving some Thai food, and stumbled across this place completely by accident and wow, what a lucky find! From the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly. Our waiter was super attentive, and Lisa, the bartender, was just the sweetest. we told her to surprise us with some drinks that would "make us happy," and she totally delivered. (Let's just say, she knows her stuff!) We started with the gyoza. It was perfectly crispy and flavorful and then I had the drunken noodles with tofu. My husband went with their recommended spicy beef dish, and both were so good. Like, "don't talk to me, I'm eating" kind of good. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. It just has the right amount of spice. What I really loved was how local and relaxed it felt. No pretense, just good people, good food, and good vibes. We felt like part of the island for a little while, surrounded by locals who clearly love this place too. If you find yourself in Kauai and craving Thai, go here. Trust me. You'll leave full, happy, and probably planning your next visit before you've even left the parking lot.

This is a cute little locally owned Thai spot we found on a whim in Koloa town plaza. Husband and I got the Green Curry with Crispy Chicken (aka Katsu) and it was very authentic, good spice level & surprisingly good portion with tons of veggies inside to fill you up. The flavor was great, we ate all of it! I also got my usual favorite Thai dish, Tom Kha Gai. I usually get it to gauge my liking towards a Thai restaurant. I liked the balance of flavors in this as well! Not too creamy, right level of tangy/sour. Ambiance is nice and cozy, they offer wine/cocktails if you want, and the staff are all friendly!

Yummy Thai I didn't realize the options were rather limited for Sunday dinner, but this place provided a delish meal. Their combination pineapple fried rice was probably my favorite. Loaded with meats and veggies and served with fresh pineapple pieces. Their pad Thai was also excellent (although the portion was on the smaller side). Both their lettuce wraps and curry soup was pretty vanilla, but still tasted decent. Overall great dinner spot

Service still great and a lovely ambiance at the spot. We had our table reserved with a nice welcome sign. We split the gyoza, a few egg rolls, the drunken noodles with tofu, the cashew prik pao with chicken, the papaya salad, and the crying tiger steak. The order size was perfect for our group of 5. We probably should have ordered things a little spicier as the mild was too mild for us. But we added chili oil and siracha. The Thai Iced Tea was perfection.

Look upstairs! Second floor location so easy to miss if you're looking at all the restaurants on the first level. This is truly a find for a restaurant, beautiful, clean and very casual. Although casual it has an upscale look. It looks fresh and new as it is relatively new opened just months ago. The menu is typical for Thai but yet there's enough choice to satisfy most tastes. What amazed me was the presentation of the dishes, very different and much more beautiful than Thai dishes back home in California. I chose the Old Town noodles that comes with tofu and pork. It was excellent, all of the ingredients fresh and well prepared. I very much enjoyed the fresh bok choi. The tofu was excellent and firm, yet delicate to the bite. The sauce was flavorful and it was a hit. The portions are very good and the price point quite reasonable. Service was friendly and professional. I hope this place does well. They have a lot of promise.

We were so happy with our meal. The service was outstanding. The food was incredible. We had sushi and chicken satay (not pictured) as well as the spicy basil chicken and drunken noodles. The mango sticky rice is a must! We can't wait to come back here again.

We were looking for some good Thai food and found this place online. The restaurant is small and they do not have AC but it didn't matter. The staff was friendly and we were seated right away. I got the Pineapple Rice and it was amazing. The portions were large and even though I wasn't particularly hungry, I ate the whole thing. My wife got the Old Town Noodles and it was equally good. A very mediocre experience. The food was subpar, the pineapple fried rice that was $40 didn't come in a pineapple like it said on the menu and had 2-3 pieces of each protein. We came in for an early dinner so there wasn't any other guests around and the service was alright. Absolutely fantastic! Kōloa Thai and Bistro was easily one of the best dining experiences we had in Kauai--and we loved it so much, we went back three times during our two-week trip. Twice just the two of us for a date night, and once with the whole family. It never disappointed. I got the Pad Thai every time because it was that good. Not only did it taste amazing, but it was beautifully plated with a fresh purple orchid on top--such a nice touch. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The drinks were great too, and the atmosphere is laid-back and charming whether you choose to sit indoors or outside. Service was quick, and the servers were super attentive and friendly each time we went. Highly recommend--10/10! If you're in the Kōloa or Poipu area, this place is a must-visit. read more

wow, amazing food. Amazing customer service... I've been on the island for over 8 years now and this place is phenomenal, there is a lot of mediocre spots, but this is not one them .. we had the papaya salad. We had the vegetarian drunken noodles. We had the mango sticky rice and we also had the Hawaiian sushi roll. All of them, which were amazing. Quick service delicious nothing but positive things if you're nearby stop and try them out they are very worth it, the top places for sure read more

We had no plans for dinner and decided to give this place a try. We were all delightfully surprised. We were a family of 4 with kids ages 8 and 11. Both kids gave it a double thumbs up! For the kids drunken noodles & veggie stir fry. For the adults Pad Thai, chicken curry, and papaya salad. The portions are huge. Wish we're staying another day to enjoy the leftovers tomorrow. On that trip we returned to enjoy the dish once again. Had it again last year as I travel to Kauai each year. I'm happy to see it is still on the menu! The front desk staff guided me to the elevator. This trip was for my birthday. In every reservation when asked about a special occasion, I put birthday. This was the first restaurant to acknowledge my special day. The check-in staff wished me well as did the server. We had been to several restaurants prior to Eating House that didn't say a word. Kudos to the staff for its kindness. The restaurant is open air and very comfortable. It has a rustic feel. We were seated by the window on a cool, rainy night but were perfectly dry the whole evening. On top of that, our server was very helpful in guiding us to order the right amount of food. He brought us a serving of edamame which is always on the house. The shrimp & pork potstickers were very good. I had the ramen which was tasty, filling and a great choice. Our server was terrific to put the spicy oil on the side which made it easier for me to eat. My husband had the butterfish which is the best I have ever tasted. It is a signature dish and always a pleaser. The only real downside is the limited menu. We were told that because of a staff shortage, it wasn't the typical menu. This was disappointing. But they did have the best of the Roy's dishes. So far, it has been the best experience that we have had in Poipu.

The host said to wait in the lobby while they waited for a 4 person table to free up. 20 minutes later after seeing many people leave the restaurant I figured there had to be a table available so I went and asked the hostess what the status was and they said they didn't know we were waiting for a table. The hostess said "nobody told me" Uhh... hello? You took my phone number and I received an opentable text that I had a reservation. Who is telling who? It should be in your system in front of you. The hostess shrugged and said sorry. The infuriating part of this was sitting there in the waiting area being ignored by all the staff while watching the hostesses and the valet parking guys flirt and talk gossip. We were obviously not a priority and they were "checked out" for the evening since it was almost closing time. They did finally seat us and we ordered the mai-tais, but sadly they were not the same. The foam (which is what makes the mai tai so great) was really sour - not the same as you can get from the original restaurant. More broadly, I thought with this being such a nice restaurant, they would make more of an attempt to say they were sorry about ignoring us, but they didn't. Even if the mai-tai was great, we wont be coming back.

We ordered from Koloa Thai Bistro through DoorDash and spent about $130 with delivery fees. The delivery was smooth, and the driver was efficient and friendly. The food itself was hit and miss. The crab Rangoon were excellent, definitely the highlight of the meal. My sister enjoyed the Pad Thai, though I didn't try it myself. On the other hand, the chicken satay was very disappointing--$20 for just four small skewers with barely any chicken, and what was there was extremely dry. The peanut sauce was also too thick to enjoy. The curry, unfortunately, was pretty bland and didn't stand out. Overall, considering the cost, the experience was a bit of a letdown. Some dishes shined, but others fell flat, which makes it hard to justify the price point. read more

holy shoooots cuz ... i get da tom kha soup and da vegetarian noodles with tofu ... food was so ono, staff was very attentive & lovely. the environment was low key and although running da half marathon da day before, i stay goin easy up and down the stairs like three times love you long time koloa thai bistro! a hui hou ‍‍‍ food was so bomb big mahalos for taking care me and my sista while we stay ova dis way ! read more

This Thai restaurant in Hawaii was amazing! The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced with fresh ingredients, and the Hawaiian curry was rich and flavorful with a great tropical twist. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Highly recommend for a delicious meal! read more
