You can not come here and expect great service and a classy restaurant. It is not that kind of place. It's an Asian buffet, remember that. Just come to eat. The food is good for being a buffet and there is a lot to choose from. The tree types of chicken I had were all so good that I kept going back for more. They have a station where someone cooks what you give them, they have sushi (which i did not like) they have a LOT of sea food. Flames too high for that. Many abandoned cooked steaks as people come by and don't pick them up as they are burnt. Ice cream is hard to reach if you want a back row flavor. Sand in clams. Crab legs over steamed and you have to wait forever to even get one as they put them out sparingly and the first two people take all of them and then you wait another 10-15 minutes. We told her that we had reservations for a big group after the funeral service which was planned by the family, and she told us there was no reservation found. We told her the last name of the person who made reservation and she barely looked at us and said " I told you no reservation found and you have to pay to eat and raising her voice loudly that embarrassing us. Pizza had the gooey cheese that I go for, and my sister loves the fried biscuits, the coconut shrimp, and the orange chicken. I love the seafood it serves, and my father loves the teppanyaki. None of the waiters give you nasty looks for putting too much food on your plate-they are simply too busy on the weekends. Plates are wet, but clean, and the ice cream is an all you can eat. Bomb.com!!! My family and I (total of 6, sometimes 7 when my brother comes to town) come to this place at least 3 times a month if not more. It is affordable and the food is delicious. They offer a wide variety of food which includes: Chinese food, a sushi station, some American food like pizza and fries, & they also have a station where they cook the food you choose. Their pistachio ice cream is delicious!!! The staff is kind and attentive, I held my graduation party here and all of my relatives and friends LOVED it. Believe me when I say, my family and I are big foodies and we have tried several buffets and were disgusted by many. This is the only buffet we genuinely enjoy. Komi Buffet does not appear to care much for the safety's of its customers in relation to best practices for enhancing safety related to COVID-19. Even if the Governor of CA is not currently requiring social distance separation for customers tables within a restaurant, a restaurant should exercise best practices to a maximum that they can do, to keep customer tables apart. Komi is not doing that. They have placed one party next to the table of another, even though there is a new faster spreading strain of COVID spreading around the country. This restaurant has a separate side area, another dining area, that was largely empty. But the restaurant did not want to allow customers to use the side room, which they said was for larger parties, even though it was largely empty. They wanted to charge $30.00 more to allow sitting in there, even though that would allow customers to spread-out more, so there would not be table after table next to each other of customers with masks off, eating. Best practices would be to spread customers out, to allow more distance between tables. This restaurant care more for squeezing out extra bucks, than the safety of its customers. read more

I came here for an early mother's day dinner with my entire extended family and I was actually really pleasantly surprised. I think the low yelp rating is really unwarranted. The guy at the grill line definitely overcooked a good number of steaks (mine were fine though), but you can actually just lean over and tell him to take yours off the grill any time and he'll do it. No, it's not the best food. No, the service isn't top-notch. Yes, there are a ton of people and sometimes you get cut in line. The price for the buffet is fairly cheap, but the food has a lot of MSG and leaves you with that thirsty feeling after eating. The staff doesn't care much for their jobs and don't know anything about customer service. The bathrooms are dirty!
