But the highlight was their baked goods, 100% gluten free at a very reasonable price for the portion and quality. This place is inside Saranac Commons, very pretty and is a good place to slow down for lunch or coffee. Staff were kind, attentive, and happy to answer questions about the menu. On top of that, the egg on it was severely undercooked.. some of the whites were still clear and slimy, which completely ruined it for me. I had also heard good things about the mac and cheese, so I gave it a try, but that was another disappointment. It was bland and runny, and even after adding salt and pepper, it still had no real flavor. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich, which wasn't terrible, but it was definitely on the dry side. They were also out of fries, so he had to get fruit instead, which was kind of disappointing. I feel the lemon didn't match, and it was inconsistently seasoned. Some parts were extremely salty, while others were not salted at all. It was nice to try but I'd try something else next time. Pretty much slow and spotty. We gave credit for that to our server having a nearby party-time table with a lot of people, all enjoying their libations and trying to speak over each other. Food is improving but still so many things missing, and the prices have gone up a lot across the board and it just doesn't seem justified. I am going to beg, please, get some hot and sour soup!
