    Bulgogi comfort bowl

Cute place with dining tables surrounded by Korean market items and cozy outdoor patio. Nice spice for most dishes. The rose tteokbokki and bulgogi comfort bowl were standouts.

Interesting experience.. this place doubles up as a restaurant and mini market. It was kinda weird dining in the center of the room where you're surrounded by fridges, snacks, etc. Feels too awkward to really walk around and browse because you'd be in somebody's personal space while they eat. Definitely too awkward to take pics of the snacks too. Outside of that.. the food here was really good. I ordered their bulgogi comfort stew and it got me sweating. The presentation was good and it was spicier than expected. The constant steam from the bowl made my eyes water all night. So yeah.. I suffered through it but still enjoyed the food. Overall I'd say this place is pretty worth it.

I've been wanting to check out this place for a bit. Was a bit confused walking in but their dining area was on the inside down the hall and then there's also a cute outside area, but the weather was too cold for me to sit outside. We ordered the Rose Rice Cakes and the Bossam. Rose Rice Cakes (7/10): the rice cakes weren't as soft as I'd like and were a bit stiff, the sauce was great through and they were very generous with the amount of rice cakes and fish cakes. Bossam (8/10): Super soft and tender pork sliced with very good flavor. They gave us refills of lettuce, samjang, and kimchi too when we ran out. One thing that stood out was how delicious their side dishes were. I would be willing to buy their side dishes alone, especially the mushroom and cucumber ones. Overall, food was good and service was very attentive, would recommend!

I could eat here everyday! The food was a 10/10, and the patio is super cute. The yuja ice tea was very refreshing. I'll be back soon.

estaurant and Korean mini-mart that has a wide variety of Korean fusion foods. Recommend their Jang Pasta, but they also have an amazing lunch special. Portions are rather large, so one dish could possibly be good for two people. They have both an outdoor and indoor space and the restaurant gets quite crowded around 6 PM, so watch out for that! Service is fast and they do a good job refilling the banchan!

An Absolute Korean Food Dream! Me and my wife ate here several times already, but where do I even begin?! From the moment we sat down, we knew this was going to be a special meal. We kicked things off with Jinro Strawberry Soju -- two bottles, obviously, because you don't come to a place like this and hold back. Light, refreshing, and the perfect way to set the mood. The bento box was a showstopper -- crispy katsu resting on a bed of cabbage slaw, fluffy steamed rice topped with black sesame, golden gyoza, perfectly steamed broccoli, and a rich dipping sauce. And the banchan spread that came alongside? An embarrassment of riches: pickled cucumbers, pickled radish, seasoned bean sprouts, braised greens, spicy kimchi -- every single one house-made and bursting with flavor. But the real scene-stealer? The Rose Tteokbokki in a cast iron skillet -- a fiery, deeply savory broth blanketed in melted cheese, topped with a perfectly halved soft-boiled egg, scallions, and black sesame. It's the kind of dish that makes you go quiet mid-bite because words simply aren't enough. The portions were generous, the service was warm, and the vibe -- somewhere between a cozy Korean market and a neighborhood gem -- made the whole experience feel like a hidden treasure. 10/10, would absolutely come back and bring everyone I know. 먹자!

It's a restaurant and market cute little place has outdoor seating and indoor seating a small market inside the indoor seating restaurant... I was greeted when I walked in. The outdoor seating was full so I sat indoor which was fine. Since it was my first time I had to try a few things out the menu the food was good and The service was great. The place was clean. I will definitely be back to try more things on the menu.

What a super cool spot. We've been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time now and finally had the opportunity over the weekend. Such a fun experience essentially having a meal within a market itself (see pictures). We started off with a fresh Dokkaebier on draft ~ I haven't seen these before and was pleasantly surprised to have a fresh and crisp one with our meal. Love to continue and support them! Food-wise we ordered the shrimp potstickers, the jang pasta with pork belly, and the udon noodles in a yellow curry broth with veggies and pork/cheese cutlet. Take me back in time because this meal was heavenly. Each dish had such unique and beautiful flavor. The jang pasta was rich and decadent, the curry creamy and honestly just a perfect pairing with the pork/cheese cutlet. The banchan served to split between two was nicely executed. Great service for us newbies helping to roll through the menu and market items of interest. There is also an outdoor area I can imagine is sweet at dusk too, so cute. Would love to explore more from the menu like the rice bowls and ramen, as well as other Korean snack items for the family. Metered parking can be found on Solano, great spot to meet others or dine solo with a good read.

Korean Superette has the BEST outdoor patio. I loved the ambiance and the pretty plants and decorations. We came for a weekday lunch and I had fun browsing the Korean snacks and to-go banchan for sale in the restaurant. We ordered the following and everything was delicious: Rose rice cakes with boiled egg: SO creamy and flavorful and spicy. It comes with cheese that cuts the spice level a bit. Huge portion size and the rice cakes were the perfect chewiness. You can also add ramen to it and I am definitely trying that next time because there was plenty of extra sauce. Seafood noodles: My sister loved the creamy sauce so much that after we took home the leftovers, she cooked extra noodles and added it to the leftover sauce. Korean fried chicken: SO GOOD. They deep fried and basted the chicken in sticky sweet sauce. I appreciate how they change up the menu with different daily specials every day and it just makes me want to come back again and again to try all the new items!

Lunch special with spicy pork was so good.

I feel like lately (thanks to the advice of Yelp! and friends) I've been hitting winner after winner. This place is no different. Went here with my friend Naomi and thought this place was a gem! Great food and I love that you can shop at the same time! Want to bring home something for dinner? You can buy it premade, frozen, or purchase the ingredients and make it yourself. But sit down instead and let them make it fresh for you. So good. FOOD: I had the lunch special which came with choice of meat (I had the spicy pork and it was delicious), soup (tofu stew for me), and rice which was delicious. Good banchan (small often pickled veggies), too. Naomi got a cold noodle soup which was a special and that looked amazing (and interactive). All of it was delicious. SERVICE: Really top notch. So helpful but not overbearing and everything was plated beautifully. Your eyes eat first and they got full. COST: Very reasonable for what you get. HIghly recommended and totally satisfied my Korean food craving.

One of our go to spots when we want to eat dinner out. The ambiance is super cozy and the food is great every time. Definitely more of a casual vibe. Everyone is very polite and the service is pretty fast :) It's also fun to look around at all the snacks afterwards.

This Korean spot is such a hidden gem in Albany. I've been on this street many time before and never noticed this place until today when my friend invited me to dinner. I got the spicy rice cakes and she got the curry udon. Both 10/10 and they had an amazing banchan selection. We also ordered the salt and pepper pork belly which I loved. It was surprisingly light which I appreciated and paired well with the rice cakes. We also got the aloe mint iced tea and would highly recommend you try!! So refreshing and fresh. I would recommend you sit outside as it's very nicely set up and they have heater lamps! I can't stress enough how wonderful this place is. FYI It also doubles as a market :)

I like that they have a patio area, but it's been full each time I've been, so I haven't had a chance to sit outside. The staff is kind, though they tend to be a bit slow when taking orders at the front. I guess it's nice that they don't rush things, but it can be a bit frustrating when the line is long and they're chatting with each person ordering, which feels like forever. However, once you sit down, the food is delivered quickly. During my first visit, I ordered the Lobster Roll with fries, a donut to-go, and we shared an order of Fried Mozzarella Sticks. The donut was very mild; I've had way better vegan donuts, so I wouldn't get one again. I thought the lobster roll was good, but not great. It did not remind me of a lobster roll at all and was too acidic in my opinion, so I wouldn't get that again either. I loved the mozzarella sticks, though. As a vegan, that typically dislikes vegan cheese, they were a hit. My non-vegan best friend loved them too! During my second visit, I ordered a Jalapeño Business sandwich with potato salad, rocky road to-go, and mozzarella sticks to share since I loved them so much the first time. My friend got a Buffalo Ranch Fried Chicken sandwich, and we decided to swap halves to try more things. I love spicy food, so if I had to choose a favorite, I'd pick my sandwich over hers, but both sandwiches were fantastic! The potato salad was good, but kind of bland for my taste. The rocky road was so yummy, and like last time, the mozzarella sticks did not disappoint. I love supporting fully vegan restaurants and will definitely go back to try more items on the menu. Maybe brunch next time I'm in the area? Not sure, but I highly recommend dropping by. Whether you're vegan or not, they have something tasty for everyone. In fact, each time I've gone, it's been with non-vegan friends, and they all say they'd eat here again.

I recently developed an allergy to onion and, unfortunately, onion is the only ingredient not listed to remove on the Saint Francis sandwich (on their website). I decided to call to place a pickup order so I could mention the allergy. The man who picked up the phone refused to take an order insisting that I must place my order online. I explained there wasn't the option to remove the ingredient and was worried since I had an allergy. He argued that I was mistaken, and I could edit the order online or order a "build your own sandwich" (without acknowledging the additional cost for such a thing). I mentioned the inaccessibility of such a system and that I truly wasn't seeing the option to remove ingredients. He spent longer arguing with me over the phone than it would have been to take my order over the phone. Eventually, I relented, and placed an online order stating in the "notes to seller" (the only way to edit an order in this case) no onion on the Saint Francis sandwich. There was onion on my sandwich. Maybe instead of believing they need to be right, they should just listen to the customer and try to accommodate.
