Everything here is always delicious. I really like the brisket. The service is always great. Nice and quiet atmosphere.

Amazing buffet!! So many options, the crab rangoons are the best I've had at any buffet, general Tao chicken is so tender and flavorful, the kumi fried rice is spectacular! We were greeted upon entrance. Our server, Rob was great and quick to check in us every moment he could. Spacious environment with plenty of setting and TVs for entertainment. The only downside was the steak I requested from the grill as medium well came back medium rare, and took awhile. Besides that I will definitely be back for more!!

This was our first time visiting Kumi for lunch and it's an easy 10/10 experience! From the moment we walked in, I noticed how clean everything was--definitely a step above your typical buffet. The food was fresh across the board, but I especially loved the sushi. What stood out to me is that they don't just pile up trays in the morning and let it sit all day. Instead, the sushi was constantly being made fresh, and you could tell the difference in both taste and quality. I also loved that they rotate the menu and even let you order on demand from their menu--such a unique touch for a buffet. The service was quick and respectful our waitress always greeted us with a smile. At $20 per person for lunch, the price felt more than fair for the quality and freshness we got. We left full, happy, and already planning to come back. I'll definitely be recommending Kumi to my friends and family.

Great variety of seafood, sushi and beef options. This was my first visit but I will definitely be back! The seating are was new and clean with multiple tv's. My favorites from the buffet were the salt and pepper blue crabs, hot snow crabs, cold snow crab and the steak. This location also had included sushi to be ordered by the roll and a ramen bar. My server was very professional and attentive.

Service was phenomenal! Our server, Mari took great care of us and explained the menu and options for us! She was very attentive and kind/friendly! The food options were incredible! From sushi to noodles, rice, seafood broil, desserts and so much more! Ambiance is casual and the aesthetic is minimal and very well designed! I ate so much and I definitely plan on returning! They offer military discount (fyi) which is so awesome! We definitely took advantage of that. Pricing is very reasonable for the amount of options you have and what's included!!

This restaurant has become our go to for Asian buffet. They have an assortment of Chinese, seafood, sushi, sashimi, salads, fruit, desserts, and ice cream. The waitstaff are very attentive and friendly. We also like that it's always really clean. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing buffet Clean, friendly, service goes beyond to help and answer your questions You pay after you eat Best part is you can order your own sushi from the table! Lunch prices awesome especially when you add the senior discount which is for 60 and over but tell the server beforehand, when you look as good as we do, they won't automatically apply! Lol Lots of dim sum boa items but no shrimp dumplings today, why we came All else is great We don't do much meat so all the seafood was great You can pick out your own steak to cook in back where the personal orders are for noodles

Overall it's a really good choice if you can't decide between sushi or a seafood boil, and you can easily eat your worth. Lo mein, fried rice, stir fry noodles, egg roll, I'd say they were a bit bland. The hot food bar is just mediocre, what you would expect from any other buffet. The chicken wing was pretty juicy and flavorful with a nice crunchy crisp though! The section that impressed me was of course the seafood/sushi. The seared salmon nigiri here was my favorite, and I would go as far as to say it's the best I've had from a cheaper sushi spot (even tops Kura Revolving Sushi to me)! We really enjoyed the crawfish, and stir fried crab. Lots of garlic, and flavoring for the crawfish boil. The crab was soft but had a delicious batter to it. There was a LOT of food here I definitely didn't take pictures of everything. There was a whole meats section too where you could choose a steak piece to be cooked fresh.

Since Wan Fu closed many years ago, I've tried to find another Chinese buffet to frequent. I have tried other restaurants but they didn't fill the void. After seeing generally favorable reviews about Kumi, I decided to pay them a visit for lunch. The building is impressive and quite large. The same can be said about the variety of food options. I was astounded by the number of choices offered. I found the bourbon chicken, wonton soup, egg rolls, and mushrooms to be the best parts of my meal. I did try beef and broccoli and Mongolian beef, but I found some pieces to be overly chewy. Our waitress was friendly and kept our cups well filled. The price for the buffet was $20. Seems a little on the high side, but given the amount of food options, I think it is reasonable. I will definitely come back in the future.

This place deserves 5 stars. The ambiance was out of this world, lighting, seating & the actual buffet set up. The cleanliness was over the top. The selection of the dishes is everything. If you LOVE seafood & ALL you eat this will be your go to. I never been to buffet with seasoned crab legs, mussels, lobster tails etc. Everything was good. Omg fresh sushi, ramen. Jenny was amazing she showed my family & so much love. She's so awesome. We will spread the word & will be coming back soon. For a party of 5 - 1 adult & 4 children - $106.

Good selection of seafood, sushi, and typical Chinese buffet items. Sushi rolls can be ordered and made fresh. Disappointed by the lack of stir fry dishes....only saw beef and broccoli. Enjoyed the crab legs, seafood boil and bbq ribs. Ramen bar with choice of noodles, pork belly, egg and pork or chicken broth. Dessert selection could be improved. Great service...servers constantly removing plates and refilling drinks.

I am not a big fan of buffets, but my family wanted to come here for Christmas Eve dinner since everyone would have something they would probably be happy with. I was pleasantly surprised on the amount of food and the quality of the food provided. You can order sushi rolls with the waitress on top of the ones that are available on the buffet line. My favorite was the sunrise roll. They have plenty of seafood, including Dungeness crab. I was overwhelmed with the amount of food that I wanted to try and taste. You can't go wrong coming here. We had a great waitress. She always had our cups filled with tea or water. She came by often to ask if we wanted more sushi rolls. I definitely happy with the service. Parking is on site. When we arrived, it was pretty full, but as this is a buffet, people come and go quickly. The place was clean and everyone was accommodating.

It's a little expensive, even for a weekend. You would expect more and better choices for the prices we paid. About $80 for two adults and a midget. They had your typical fare. The least favs-ribs(tough/dry and no flavor), steak(tough and under seasoned), steam buns(the filling just no), bourbon chicken(dry chicken and not enough sauce), and the consensus least fav were all the desserts. There was flying bugs, and everything was super dry and tasted old. I get it, what do expect for a Chinese buffet in San Antonio? Well I expect no flying insects in the desserts for the price I paid. Also, 75 % of the fruit we got was as tough as the steak. Oh, and the cold shrimp, either overcooked or thawed the wrong way. The shell was practically glued on. The positives-all the rice and noodle dishes were good to ok. The hot and sour soup was really good! The teriyaki chicken was actually good. The bigger sauced rib was good. The kimchi was some of the better we've had recently. The spring rolls with peanut were good. The two fish dishes we had(fried and not fried) were actually quite nice. All the breads were good. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Almost forgot, the bathrooms were kinda gross. They need to be kept clean. Will not come back again.

The buffet options are good, but their general tso's chicken is not the best (and I judge how good overall Chinese buffets on this lol). A surprise hit is the sautéed green beans, which are perfectly cooked and garlicky--just like how you'd find it traditionally cooked in Chinese cuisine. I also think they're deep fried (salt and pepper?) shrimp (next to the crawfish) is very delicious. Plates are cleared pretty quickly and the buffet space is kept orderly and decently clean.

Sushi was decent and they had a pretty large menu to select from. $30.99 for all you can eat dinner isn't a bad deal at all especially with this economy. Just you, the menu, and a quiet understanding that nobody is leaving early. Brought Jimmy "The Hammer" along for this one. A dangerous man in this setting. His only complaint before we even sat down was that it wasn't all you can drink. Fair concern. Thirty dollars for the dinner menu. Fair play. That is about standard across the city. The real question is whether you can actually make it worth it. I started strong. Ten salmon nigiri. Ten tuna. Four shrimp. A couple white tuna. A couple yellowtail. Across the table, Jimmy didn't say much. Just kept eating. That's usually how you know things are going well. At some point it stops feeling like dinner and starts feeling like a bit of a challenge. You settle into it. Find your rhythm. No wasted movement. Then came the rainbow rolls. Two of them. Always my test. You can tell everything you need to know about a sushi spot from that one roll. Balance, freshness, attention to detail. This one delivered. Clean, refreshing, exactly what you want. Added some chicken skewers for good measure. Bit of char, bit of heat, keeps things grounded. Place was packed. Not chaotic, just busy in the right way. Staff stayed on top of it. Plates moving, orders landing, no one left waiting. By the end of it, I leaned back and took stock. Full. Satisfied. No regrets. Five stars.
