I had the grilled chicken with garlic rice and a side salad. At first thought, the portions looked rather small, but upon eating everything, it was the perfect amount. I finished everything and was quite satisfied. The grilled chicken slices were tender and moist and the sauce on both the garlic rice and the chicken was delicious; a little sweet with a hint of heat. The green salad was a great balancing side dish for the chicken and rice. The dressing on the salad was light and wonderful. I was very happy with my lunch!

The flavor was on the lighter side, which I assume is to make it more approachable for people who may not be familiar with Indonesian food. I also ordered the wings, and they were good. The portion is pretty big, but unfortunately it just isn't that good. The kati rolls are pretty tasty. Both the fillings and the paratha roll are tasty, but I wish it were a little more moist. Just be aware that there's cilantro, so if that's not your jam then they might not be for you. The real star of this place, though, is the dahi puri. Oh my gosh is this ever good. You get little puffs stuffed with potato, in yogurt, with crunchy bits on top, and then paired with various chutneys. It's a lovely combination of creamy and crunchy; sweet and sour (and a bit spicy too). This comes in a full order of 6 or a half order of 3. I've split the full order with friends before and I always seem to regret that decision when I finish my third one! Just be mindful that the dahi puri is served cold, and it's more of a snack than a meal. When I logged onto Yelp to post the photos, I realized that we had been here in September of 2022 for dinner with other members of my family. We would have switched if we had known beforehand, but we had already been eating. The burritos were great and had nice flavor though we sort of wished we got what we ordered. Another grievance was that his burrito had some rice in it, but mine did not. The wait was also incredibly long, though I don't completely blame the workers because this was at the Cal Academy of Sciences: Late Night and there were a lot of people. The person who served us was very nice and friendly, and even gave my friend a free soda (before we found out about receiving the wrong orders).
