Haven't been here since the remodel. Food was delicious, portions are pretty good. Kalbi could have been bigger lol. Ordered the option 3 crew set and added a few more dishes to round out the meal for 8 of us. Service was great and although we ate early we didn't feel rushed even when it started getting busy.

I went in for an early dinner. I was craving kalbi and soft tofu soup, kimchi. The Crew did not disappoint my cravings. Place was clean and empty and service was very kind and prompt. Seems like a fun late night spot. My partner got bibimbap with spam and said it kind of lacked flavor. Would return if my kalbi craving resurfaces, it was very flavorful, not too fatty, and piping hot!

First time trying this place. We came on a friday night. Overall, the food options were very good & cooked fresh. The different variety of foods we got were all flavorful. Their kimchi is so fermented & so good. Nothing too special with ambiance & we had to wait a good time even if it wasn't as busy. Overall, if not in a rush, good place to get korean food during late hours.

Walked in on a Friday night around 7:30 or so because we had Korean food and some chicken wings. This place was on my radar for some time. The guy serving us was friendly. The place I feel has a young vibe. The food tasted great. The chicken hit the spot, and the pork noodles had some amazing flavors. The service was great, and they refilled the side dishes.

Wasn't too hungry so only order two items: Beef Bulgogi and Seafood Pancake. The bulgogi wasn't as tender as I expected and the portion size was a little small. I felt that the flavor was a little lacking as well, it didn't have much of a taste. The Seafood Pancake on the other hand, was AMAZING! It had a good amount of crunchiness to it and the flavor was on point: not too salty nor bland! This is a must try at this restaurant!

Hidden gem in the sunset for Korean cuisine! They have many options to choose from, and they are definitely on the pricier side but it's due to portion sizes so be sure to come in with people to share. Love their side dishes and purple rice. The pork bulgogi was great as well, and is enough to share with maximum 2 people. I also tried their Mandu, Korean fried chicken (garlic flavor, and japchae. Mandu is a must, but their chicken and japchae was okay. If you're looking for some Korean food, I would still recommend this place regardless for their meat dishes. I definitely want to give their stews a try next time. Also the interior is small and cute, and staff was very attentive and nice!

Yummy little spot good for late night chats and grub, although definitely in the pricier size in terms of portion per cost. Came with 4 friends and tried 5 dishes and two drinks. Forgot to take a picture but the Crew wings were garlicky and amazing! Also enjoyed the kalbi bbq and kalbi soup, along with the buldak omelette (new item). The alcoholic beverages like the watermelon hwachae and matcha honeycomb amakgeoli were such interesting flavor combos that worked together nicely. The hwachae literally had an entire watermelon in there; felt like never ending watermelon but very refreshing. Service was pretty good despite there only seeming to be one guy working the front. He looked a bit overwhelmed but was otherwise nice and attentive. Place itself is pretty small and you have to find street parking.

I visited The Crew with some friends on a weeknight, and luckily it wasn't too busy for us! We ordered Corn Cheese, Rose Tteokbokki, and Kalbi Jjim. I was impressed they were all very flavorful and easily shareable between a group of 4 people. We didn't get to try the Matcha Makgeolli or Watermelon Hwachae since we did come late, but hopefully we can try it next time!

I came across this place on TikTok while looking for a good Korean restaurant in the Bay Area. I was especially craving the seafood pancake and honeycomb makgeolli, so I ordered those along with the galbi and steamed egg. Everything exceeded my expectations, especially the seafood pancake. Usually when I order it at other restaurants, it comes out soggy and lacks seafood. The pancake from The Crew is hands down one of the best I've had. The honeycomb makgeolli was exceptionally tasty too, aside from the fact that I had bits and pieces of the wax stuck in my mouth. The waiter was very attentive and brought out the food quickly! I would definitely come back!

The Crew is a good place to hangout and grab a bite with friends but the food is just alright. I came on a Friday night with a couple friends and the table was awkwardly small. The good thing about the location though is that there is free parking in the area. We got the fried rice with egg bomb, seafood pancake and beef tofu soup. The portions were huge. The dishes were all very aesthetic, however the flavors were just average.

BBQ Short Rib (Kalbi), Tteokbokki, Spicy Pork, Soy Garlic Wings, & CornCheese

A small intimate restaurant that has decent street parking and most recommended for dinner, as it opens till 1am! Absolutely loved the tteokbokki, incredible flavor profile, was probably most notable for me. They're known for the honeycomb rice wine; it was very sweet and enjoyable! The waiter brought out the honeycombs itself and cut them for us, it was an original experience. (^-^*)/ The galbi and spicy pork were delicious as well, marinated and seasoned pretty well. It's nice to pair it with the purple rice! The wings fell a little flat for me even though it was a menu favorite I think I've just had better wings elsewhere, it was a bit too salty. Lastly, corn cheese you can never go wrong with at any Korean restaurant. Nice to go with a group to share amongst the dishes, especially the meats!

Coming from someone who often eats in la ktown, this place is pretty good! Service was really nice and there was good seating in the inside. There's like some silver theme going on inside. My friend was pescatarian but they took on the fish cake off from the rose tteokbokki for some reason which i didn't ask about.... anyway i'm giving this place 4 stars because theres a bit of a higher price point to the amount of food, and the food wasn't THAT good or unique to justify the prices. If you want korean food, this is the place, but there's no innovation or specialty here that draws me back

Jacqueline L.

Walked in with a group of friends on a Korean food craving and luckily got seated right away--win! We might have gone a little overboard ordering, but zero regrets. The rice wine with honey was such a fun surprise--sweet, smooth, and perfect to sip between bites. The rose rice cakes were also a standout--chewy, creamy, and super comforting. Everything hit the spot, and the vibe was laid-back and perfect for group hangs. Definitely coming back to work through more of the menu!

The hot link has perfect snap, the chicken is alwayss juicy, and the bao bun (side of pickled onions) is always a standard on all our orders. The sides, oh the sides, mac & cheese and potato salad are exactly what great BBQ sides should be. Don't forget the cornbread muffins either. And special alert: the brisket chili deserves its own spotlight. This is a family-run operation, and it shows. Great people, great food, and a fantastic addition to our side of the city. My advice: don't sleep on Smokin D's, place the order and always ask for extra BBQ sauce. Thank you, Smokin D's, for keeping San Francisco smoked, sauced, and happy.

For appetizers, we love: - Ayesha's freshly baked cornbread: buttery and soft pastry - 'Peking' pork belly bao buns: super delicate buns with juicy slices of duck - Double duck wings: crispy and yummy! For sides, we love the pork belly fried rice and the duck fat fries. SO flavorful and delicious. Fat just makes everything taste so good and I don't feel guilty at all about the amount of fries I had! The standout was my entree: the smoked galbi beef short ribs. I think this is my new favorite: the beef was ridiculously tender and cooked to perfection. It's pricey ($76), yes, but it's some of the best short ribs I've had and I highly recommend. I think it's worth it and you gotta treat yourself once in awhile!

Yesterday, May 28, 2026, it was announced that INTERNATIONAL Smoke officially shuttered as of…read moreWednesday, May 20, 2026. If you ask me, this comes as no surprise at all. Located on the ground floor of the infamous leaning Milennium Tower in San Francisco's Financial District, INTERNATIONAL Smoke was Michael Mina's fine dining barbecue restaurant collaboration with multi-hyphenate entrepreneur Ayesha Curry. I visited this place once, for a small dinner party hosted by Charles Schwab on Tuesday, October 14, 2024. We arrived shortly after 6:35 PM. The atmosphere was modern, but casual and hip, funky with exposed metal accents popping through concrete floors and columns. Evidently, the fully booked days were behind them - despite the place's popularity as a fun, lively eatery with the occasional celebrity spotting, the restaurant was fairly quiet that night and not a single person was at the bar. We were seated in the spacious Atrium with floor to ceiling windows. INTERNATIONAL Smoke was not your traditional barbecue restaurant. They presented a globally-inspired grill-centric carte inspired by the rich heritages of the co-founders. The globetrotting meat dishes highlighted diverse international flame-cooking and smoking traditions. The ambitiously broad menu intended to take diners on a culinary journey around the world, but, instead, delivered a disjointed and scattered passport. Similar to the food offerings, INTERNATIONAL Smoke's drink catalogue featured some rotating crafted cocktails that leaned into global flavours, such as KUNG FU PANDAN ($18) and MIDNIGHT IN OAXACA ($20). Boozy beverages like TICKLE ME PINK ($19), NEGRONI ($19), and the ESPRESSO MARTINI ($20) were enjoyed by some of my tablemates. A couple of us stuck to the ZERO PROOF potables like the BUZZ FREE BEE ($15) and RASPBERRY FIELDS ($12) of which the latter I found to be delightful. Cool ice cubes, too! Below are a few of the dishes that we ordered: DOUBLE DUCK WINGS ($28) - I don't eat duck, but my dining mates raved over the tender mango-habanero glazed meat that was falling off the bones. BLACK TRUFFLE CAESAR ($20) - This was a substantial serving, and the sweet onion crema, fried garlic, and truffle vinaigrette all worked well together. ROASTED CAULIFLOWER ($18) - Meh. Perhaps my prejudice against raisins and tehina got in the way of enjoying this STARTER. BLISTERED SHISHITO PEPPERS ($16) - There was not a single blister on any of the peppers, so, unfortunately, the expected smoky, charred flavour was completely absent. MISO YAKI BLACK COD ($48) - This order came with two considerable sized filets of the velvety soft and flaky fish served atop mild shishito peppers sitting in a light ginger dashi broth. It could have just been me, but one of the slices looked a bit undercooked. DUNGENESS CRAB GARLIC NOODLES ($45) - Joanna went with this rich, buttery dish of noodles tossed with wood ear mushrooms, generous portions of Dungeness crab, and heavily garlicked. It was hearty, but I didn't see any bok choy mixed in there, which would have disappointed me if I were Joanna. PERI PERI HALF CHICKEN ($39) - Dustin ordered this dish. The poultry appeared to be well marinated, so I can only assume that the deep, fiery acidic flavour with the pronounced smoky element came through in each bite. Surprisingly, no rants nor raves on this from Dustin...who is usually very opinionated. PORK BELLY FRIED RICE ($17) - Not the worst, but not the best. For the small bowl, this was a major rip off. FRIED BRUSSELS SPROUTS ($15) - Wow, for the price, this should have knocked our socks off, but was pretty lackluster. 8 OZ. CENTER CUT FILET MIGNON ($68) - I ordered this steak plate. The meat was cooked perfectly medium rare, but the taste of the red wine demi and the stuffed portobello mushroom were unremarkable. LEMON OLIVE OIL CAKE ($14) - This did not stray far from the standard olive oil cake, just a touch of lemon added to the cake's flavour + the pluot garnishes. Nothing standout about this, unintriguing. "SMOKED" CHOCOLATE S'MORES ($14) - Not your typical s'mores, more of an elevated take on the campfire classic with a valrhona molten cake sitting atop brûléed marshmallow fluff with a side of graham cracker crumble and a scoop of ice cream. CINNAMON CHURROS ($13) - The accompanying blueberry cheesecake and meyer lemon curd dips were the sole unique elements of this sugar-dusted fried pastry dessert. Without them, this plate would have been underwhelming. Mediocre food at high-end prices aside, table service was friendly. What was all the hype over INTERNATIONAL Smoke? My true guess is that the affiliation with Steph Curry and his basketball friends who would pop in were the big draw...because even with all of the smoking, this place had no fire.

This location is cleverly located in between two breweries which is great because you can grab your food and a beer at either breweries. This grown man cursed us out calling us "effing idiots" and many other ridiculous names. Look we are all here trying to enjoy a delicious neighborhood mom and pop. Things happen, if you cannot be kind to your neighbor in line, stay home and order delivery. Accidents happen! No one got hurt. Besides that unsavory interaction, this turned out to be a great afternoon for all. We will definitely come back to try the desserts and beef cheeks.
