My senior mom went to get her inspection done. She had recently gotten a new battery for her car. So the car failed the inspection because the computer had been reset. she was told by the tech (sorry I don't know the name), to drive the car for 70 miles. And said "Do Not get on the freeway". I helped her get the miles on her car. After almost a week she took the car back and it failed again. She was so defeated all she could do was cry. She did all she was told. This time the same tech told her she hadn't turned it off and on enough. We got in the car and I took her back there. A different person told us that the car had to be driven as it would normally be driven for the 70 miles; freeways, city streets, starts, stops, idling, etc. I drive the car to Greenville and back. The next day, I went with her to get the inspection. Luckily, the tech she'd been dealing with was there this time. He met us at the driveway. got out and asked him why he thought he needed to be so nasty about all this. he tried back peddling, then owned up to what he had told her. We waited for the inspection, and my mom was literally panicked the whole time we waited. Like a child waiting for the consequences of their actions. By the time he made it to the lobby with the form, I was pretty angry. My mom went up to the counter and I was right behind her. He literally shooed her down the counter. The car had passed. Then he literally had the nerve to tell me she needed a chaperone going forward to avoid all these issues. I grabbed the paper and left with my broken mom in tow. THIS is the only thing I've done about it. So far. I'm almost certain senior seniors do not visit Yelp to find an oil change place. They go where they've always gone. So, if you have a parent that uses this business, know that they aren't going to treat your parent as you would hope. And judging from the rating of this business, they aren't likely to do anything about changing it. read more

Ignore any rude review. Especially any stereotypical reviews. For many years I struggled with finding an honest, dependable car shop with great customer service. Everywhere I went in the past would be a one time thing because I was never satisfied enough with the work to return. That was until I found THIS location. I LOVE THIS PLACE. This location has never let me down. Every single time i've gone I have had amazing customer service and maintenance on my car. And I will always return to this location. Rolando and his team provide excellent customer service. They provide information as to how many cars are ahead of you along with an estimated time for completion of the service that you require. Rolando advised me not to have my oil changed because it looked clean at the time I brought it in for an oil change. His integrity impressed me. I drove my car in and waited in the drive. One other car was there. A man comes and stands in the garage door and looks at me and says sarcastically, "Yes??" I said hi, needed an oil change. He paused an said drive up to the first bay door and turned around and went back to work on the other car. We made eye contact a couple of times and I waited for him to take my key fob. Never did. They have a unapproachable attitude with no regards to giving a welcoming vibe. They seem to be more upset that I brought my car. After working today with this older technician with a big stomach (don't know his name), we'll surely never bring another vehicle over there when he made it known that it's more important for him to go home than loose a customer for good. I have been a customer here for a couple years now. I've seen different teams come and go and right now Rolando and his team have been nothing but amazing. They are professional and personable. I pulled in to get my oil changed and they were very friendly. We're straight forward with options and pricing and even checked my tires and washed my windows and mirrors while waiting. I had the option of going into the office to wait if I had a mask but decided to stay in my vehicle instead. They also offered to get my inspection done (which I forgot was out). Came to this place to get oil change and I end up getting different oil grade and my oil cap on the engine was never put back on and had to purchase a new one from dealership and staff members were kind enough to paid for the part but it was too far away from my location to go back and forth so no more visits to this place!! DO NOT use this location or the other Rowlett location on Lakeview Parkway (same ownership)! I called the Lakeview Parkway location to see what the wait time was for an oil change and inspection and was told their inspector had left for a family emergency. I drove to this location on Dalrock and the guy tells me the other location had told customers all sorts of excuses because they just don't want to work. If the workers are that lazy, what corners are they cutting while servicing your vehicle? Now for this location on Dalrock I was quoted $69 when I pulled up and let them know I needed the oil change with my inspection. After checking out my cost was $130! I have NEVER paid more than $89 for a synthetic oil change and $89 was for the BMW dealership. Typically it is $50-$65. After having the mechanic review the charges, they nickel and dime for everything! I told him his pricing was not competitive and I should have been told before they did the work what the oil change portion would have been. The $25 inspection was correct but the oil change was highway robbery. I would never recommend anyone take their car to this location. I highly recommend the Valvoline off of I-30 Westbound in Rockwall by the Denny's & McDonald's. They have great service, prices and send great coupons in the mail. Do not take your car here. They put the wrong oil in my car and when I asked that they fix the mistake they refused. My daughter took my SUV into the shop to have an oil change. Instead of them telling her what type of oil this car takes they asked her what she would like. My 17 year old daughter did not know what oil to choose. When I called them asking to have the issue fixed the manager told me he is aware that Nissan and Infiniti's take synthetic oil but my car didn't say that when he pulled it up in his system. Now I'm not trying to get a free oil change. I just want the right oil put in my car and I will pay the correct amount. Every single time I have ever went to any Kwik Kar location they always know what type of oil the car takes. Don't risk your car by going to this location. It's not worth it. At the End of December I had my State Inspection done at this location. When I got my car back it smelled like a chain smoker had been smoking in it. Its not worth the risk to take our vehicles there if thats how they're going to come back. It took HOURS for the car to smell any better. I wrote a review online about that experience back in December. My wife forgot about that and took her car in to get an oil change today. THEY REFUSED HER SERVICE! Because of my review. I have never experienced this kind of unprofessionalism from a company. If you are a minority, beware! I own a Lexus and requested synthetic oil(oil changes are only needed every 5,000 miles when synthetic oil is used) however, the attendant insisted I was misinformed and oil changes would be required every 3,000 miles. His tone was very arrogant and matter of fact. As I approached the front desk to inquire further and request the attendants name (latter discovered his name is Chad) "Bubba J" who I suspect to be the manager or owner, asked "How may I help you"? This store has changed hands since then, and they have started charging $30+ to dispose of the oil which raised the price of an oil change to $70+. At first they only charged my wife this excessive fee, but then they started charging me. Last time that I will use this place. Found a different place that does not charge the fee and only charges $25 for regular oil change. read more
