I typically get the Luxury Spa Pedicure with gel. This time for my birthday month I decided to go the weekend before to get my pedicure and asked for the Collagen Spa Pedicure with gel. ($67 + $15 gel + $15), as far as color I asked to try the cat eye polish. I also told the nail tech that because they use the drill to take off the gel my big toe nails have been brittle and sometimes break at the edges before my next appointment. So I asked for some sort of builder gel or something to strengthen it. (One time one tech did rebuild a section of my toe nail with builder gel to match) Well I'm not sure she understood me. About 5 hours later sure enough my right toe nail cracked in the middle/edge. It was too late on a Saturday to go back and ask for it to be fixed. I called around 10am Monday morning and was told to come in at 4:20. I did. I never felt so judged and the looks I was getting when the receptionist went around telling about 4 different techs my complaint. I did wait about 15 minutes for someone to help me, which was fine, but then the tech who originally did my nails didn't even fix it. She said she didn't hear me when I said I wanted builder gel, just that I was saying I had issues with them breaking. So now I felt bad that someone else is having to fix it. So I obviously tipped her. (Mind you I tipped $20 to the tech who did my nails Saturday). Then she gives me a bill of $10! She ended up putting a tip on. 1. It was wayyy too long and had to ask her to file it down and still looks too long. 2. Then I noticed that the cat eye was facing the wrong way! I'm so disappointed how this was handled and these were supposed to be my birthday nails. I paid a total of $131 for a pedicure I'm not even happy with and don't match.

I came here to get a manicure and pedicure for my baby shower and I had the ugliest paint on my fingernails for that day. Just because people ask for regular polish doesn't mean they don't want it to look good for at least the following day. The manager wanted me to come in at 11:30 the day of the baby shower and couldn't offer any type of the reimbursement. My mother went with me to get a manicure the same day and she asked the lady to cut a little bit off her nails, she literally cut off all the growth she had and automatically tried putting gel polish on my moms nails when she also wanted regular. When my mom told her she wanted regular polish she dragged a cart full of random old polishes and made her pick a color from those instead of using the one she wanted from the book. Terrible service, terrible management, terrible nail polish. Only thing I was happy with was Tom's pedicure and customer service everything else felt like a waste of money and time. The purpose of this letter is to notify you that I will no longer be returning to or supporting your establishment. This was a difficult decision to make because I genuinely care about people, especially those with whom I have built rapport. I also hoped that your attitude toward others would change over time. Even against Katy's advice, I continued to frequently support your establishment and listen to the harsh comments you made about other people. I accepted your negative demeanor even when I made simple requests regarding services that I was paying for with my hard-earned money. I also tried to bring you more business by referring friends, including my closest friends. Each time, however, you had something negative to say, and you treated them so poorly that they vowed not to return. The last incident was the final straw. I brought a friend in to have her nails done, and you made her feel so uncomfortable that she later asked me why I would continue spending my money at a place with such subpar customer service. Your Yelp reviews are filled with customers expressing concerns about how rude you are, and every chance I had, I tried to defend you. However, you never extended that same grace or flexibility to me. When I asked you to try something new for me, you refused. During my most recent visit, you told me that you prefer your clients not bring referrals because you do not understand why "Westerners like to do everything together." You also expressed frustration that my friend and I were conversing with one another while getting our nails done. You were upset that my friend wanted to know the cost of services before receiving them, and you even stated that "people should not enter your establishment with expectations." I found that statement, along with many of your other comments and behaviors, to be offensive and dismissive of the very customers you serve. Your attitude is not welcoming, and when concerns about it were brought to your attention, you stated that you did not care. You said that you are "not a try-hard," that people either like it or they do not, and that you do not force anyone to patronize your business. With that understanding of your true perspective, your lack of professionalism, and your inability to provide quality customer service in an industry that depends entirely on customers, referrals, and word of mouth, I have decided to no longer support Fancy Nails and Spa. I will be posting an honest review on Yelp, and I sincerely hope that you find a way to treat people with more kindness and respect.
