This is the best coffee IMO. I get the obsession with Blue Bottle, Intelligensia, etc, but for me La Colombe coffee is bold and flavorful in such a distinct way. Their dark roast Corsica is so rich and chocolatey. The Rwanda light roast is fruity, floral, yet still boldly in a more subtle way. The BH location has aspects that remind me of the flagship in Philadelphia and is a quick transport of this Philadelphian's heart back to the motherland. Let me say I am NOT a big fan of La Colombe Coffee. For a third wave roaster it just doesn't seem that inspired to me. I taste much more passion at Demitasse (local Los Angeles roasters) for instance. But I come to this location on a regular basis. Why? you might ask. It's not that it's convenient (it is). But that's not a good enough reason. So there must be something else. There is. La Colombe has the best selection of Sugarbloom pastries and cookies that I have seen anywhere. If you are not familiar with Sugarbloom I strongly encourage you to try them. There is no Sugarbloom store. You have to get them somewhere like La Colombe. The croissants (all types) are sublime. People love the croissants at Chaumont. Try one by Sugarbloom. Their cookies are in a class by themselves. The Miso Butterscotch is one of the most extraordinary cookies of all time. So while maybe the coffee isn't my favorite at La Colombe, when paired with these baked goods it just doesn't matter as much. And besides, you may think the coffee is great. So enough about Sugarbloom, back to La Colombe. I'm at a little bit of a loss to explain some of the other reviews about La Colombe. The service has always been good. The baristas are nice and for the most part competent. I like the seating and find it comfortable if not a little eclectic. But personally I don't find eclectic a bad thing. Usually it's more interesting. I don't care if there aren't any outlets for me to plug my phone or laptop into and I don't think it's a criteria for a good coffee house either. I have never seen dirty tables here even when they were busy. Why do people write some of the things they do? Who knows. I encourage you to come into La Colombe and see for yourself. Oh, and one more thing. They have sandwiches by Bread Lounge. Those are pretty tasty too. read more

Solid coffee shop in the Century City mall. On a Saturday afternoon it was completely empty, so could be a nice place to chill and read a book or work for a little bit. I got a Cold Brew and it was solid -- I don't know if they have any more iced coffee choices though so a bit limited on the variety (okay, they have plenty of coffee beans for hot coffee, but I want iced!!!). TERRIBLE! I was treated indifferent. They are open for business but had my go to Rite Aid to use the restroom. I took my mask down to taste the coffee and the hosted told me to wait until I get outside to measure rather or not my coffee was made accurately and then turn around and come back in. Mind you not one single customer was in there! As it turns out it wasn't made properly. I asked for an adjustment and they got even more weird. Made me feel very uncomfortable. This is solely a review of their chocolate chip cookie. I don't even drink coffee. But I discovered this cookie and I can't stop telling everyone about it. It is a perfect cookie: big, crispy on outside, soft on inside, with big and small chocolate bits threaded throughout. It is outstanding. Don't skip. read more

Ambience: love the design. Service: The women at the front didn't seem knowledgeable about the coffee which was a little strange but the gentleman working was very sweet and informative. Food and Drink: I had a mocha iced latte. I like that they don't add sugar to their drinks so you can add as much or little sweetness that you would like. I also ordered a lemon blueberry cornbread cake that was pretty good. I usually love Nitro but theirs has whole milk already mixed in it so I was a bit disappointed because I wish they had a non dairy version for people that can not have dairy. Quaint coffee shop that has oat milk, silky smooth lattes, and space for getting work done or just having a casual conversation. You order at the counter (they do take credit cards) and then pick up your order on the side. They do have some pastries (the peanut butter cookies are very large, and the right amount of chewy) but this isn't a place to grab a meal. The oat milk latte on tap is really smooth and velvety, and it's really cool that it's dairy free. They have a pretty solid selection of teas as well - the genmaicha one is my favorite. Some might think it's too bitter, but it's really cleansing after a long weekend. Otherwise, I'll usually get a chai latte with oat milk. There's only a slight tinge if sweetness but it's warm and comforting to drink on a cold day (even when the cold day is only in the 60s). The workers are friendly and it is a good spot to post up and work on your laptop. There's usually people in there but it's never crowded. There are some two seater tables if you want to chat with someone as well. read more

Coffee was great! Most excellent. The beans here are on the roaster end of the spectrum. Ordered an iced americano and a cold brew with lemon. The lemon added a nice acidic flavor to the cold brew. Plus, my throat was relatively dry due to the weather. Drinking black coffee generally dehydrates me more, so I felt that the lemon soothed my throat while I was also irritating it, haha. My friend also thoroughly enjoyed her iced americano. Portions are fair. They don't offer wifi. Bathroom was out of order at the time of our arrival. Complimentary sparkling water on tap (yay!). Interior is hip and modern. Nice spot in Beverly Hills. read more

I haven't really had coffee since law school but my friend swore by La Colombe so we walked in one day and I had the Black and Tan Draft Latte with Oat milk! It is so delicious and addicting. I've had it three times this week. Problem is now I can't fall asleep so I'm going to have to cut my coffee addiction but for all those who can handle it, the draft latte is amazing (get it with half ice coffee so that it's not too milky). I'll be back to try their teas since I can't do the coffee anymore. Wish they had outdoor seating then this place would be my jam. read more

The service is (usually) stellar, but about every third time I go to La Colombe in Beverly Hills, the coffee is garbage gas station-tier coffee -- and its $3.75 for a 12 oz cup. At that price, I expect higher quality and consistency. I won't bother coming back and taking my chances again. read more

I've heard of this place and they close so early (7p) so it's been hard to make it out there to check out their teas especially during the weekdays. I finally got to drop by at the right time and it did not disappoint! Their draft lattes are so creamy and frothy; they have oat milk (score)! But, I have to say the pure black iced coffee is my favorite. I've become more of a coffee snob ( can't believe I said it ) as I've been consuming more coffee -- there's a distinct difference in quality and taste. I come to this coffee shop often to get the oat milk latte. Today, I went in TWICE (once in the morning and then again in the afternoon). The servers are usually very friendly and this is the only place that makes the oat milk latte the way I like it. We have at this point recruited anyone and everyone to go there for coffee. However, during this afternoon's visit, the barista (African American woman) was extremely rude and condescending. I was there with two of my coworkers and we all felt extremely awkward from the way she treated us. All we were doing was trying to have a friendly chit chat with her and she clearly was not having it. I have lots of choices for coffee and I would NEVER be treated that way at a Starbucks, where I pay half the price of Le Colombe's medium sized coffee. There is a certain level of professionalism that was completely missing in today's interaction. That woman does not belong in the service industry period. The guys are always super nice and friendly and we've had wonderful experiences with them. I hope that this lady can either learn how to be more friendly or find herself a job in a place that makes her happy. read more

This location of La Colombe is decent....I've never really seen it busy. The customer service isn't very warm and friendly but their iced oat milk latte always has me going back. This past Sunday when I went they didn't even bother to let me know my coffee was ready. They just set it out on the counter and went about their business. Good coffee located in dare I say the dreamiest mall I've ever been to. I think this La Colombe is probably best for popping in and grabbing a quick shot of caffeine to fuel your shopping efforts. I was here for a quick meeting and work sesh, which is weird enough inside a mall without the strange vibes from the baristas. The staff was less than welcoming and did not seem thrilled to help me or anyone else get their fancy coffees with oat milk. The light in here is bright and intense, despite this being inside of an outdoor mall. What really knocked a couple stars off for me, though, was the INSANE TECHNO VERSION OF A CHRISTMAS SONG literally blasting into my ears as soon as I sat down. I literally had to put on my own head phones to focus at all. I'm sure there's some sort of set playlist, but I was staring at the staff in disbelief that this bothered no one in the middle of August. If you can get past the unusual and loud music choices, the cold brew is tasty and they have unlimited bubbly water on tap (what Millennial dreams are made of). There's also a "WC" inside in case you're having trouble navigating the giant Westfield mall and need to use the ladies. read more
