Delicious. It's always fantastic salvadorean food, and the people working here are also nice. Get the pupusas, but remember they take a lil' bit to cook. Spacious and clean with a newly built bar space. Their lunch specials are worth the trip.

My friends and I went to New Rochelle to get some late lunch. The parking is a bit difficult as it's metered street parking. Inside the place is well kept and plenty of seating. The staff is attentive and friendly. We wanted a quick lunch and we got chicken (grilled and fried) with rice and beans. My fried chicken was not greasy at all and well seasoned. The tripe soup was fantastic and tender. The papusas were one of the most tasty I've eaten and not over salted or oily. The horchata was great and the cinnamon flavor came through strongly. Highly recommended.

This place is a hidden gem in New Rochelle! I love coming here for breakfast. All of their pupusas are made fresh to order and are so filling! They usually serve a spicy cabbage based salad on the side with a spicy tomato sauce which go together perfectly. I recently tried the huevos rancheros and it was so tasty. I always enjoy getting a cup of coffee and a fresh squeezed orange juice on the side of my breakfast. My children also enjoy the food here. All of the beautiful ladies that work here are also very nice and attentive. They have a lot of tasty ready to serve food items along with the menu items. I highly recommend this spot!

I was just walking down street and popped inside to get something to go so happy I did! Was not exactly sure what I ordered knew chorizo'' tamales, and recognized the bananas so I ordered those. It is delicious, I highly recommend this restaurant cafe. Eat in or take out can't go wrong.

I absolutely love this place. No matter what I'm in the mood for, they have something for me. I love order ahead or just choose what they have displayed. Very tasty - but not too spicy, great variety and such a lovely staff!!!! All the girls are super nice, friendly and so helpful! It's a pleasure every time I come here!!!

My pupusas filled with cheese beans and loroco were very filling and the calabacita platter was the same. I definitely preferred the taste of the pupusas as the calabacita needed a strong sauce for taste so I ended up using the red and green salsas from the pupusas. However, even though I marked for utensils the restaurant did not provide me any. I don't know if that was a glitch in communications between Uber Eats and the restaurant, but it made it a pain to go hunting for plastic silverware at a quiet hotel.

I…read morewas pleasantly surprised that the pupusas were still reasonably priced for a full-service restaurant and bar, at around $4 each. They offer a good variety of fillings. My favorite was the jalapeño and cheese, which have a nice kick to them. The yuca frita was crispy but not oily, and made for a great appetizer before the pupusas. We came during happy hour and took advantage of the drink specials. The red sangria and margaritas were only $8 a glass and they were both strong and tasty, though I preferred the sangria slightly more. The music at Salvatoria was great and made for a nice atmosphere, with current Latino hits playing in the background. My only note, and it's minor, is that the curtido wasn't as good as I've had at other places. They do give you a good amount, but it lacked some of the crunch and acidity that a great curtido needs to balance out the pupusas. Overall, Salvatoria Kitchen and Bar delivers on food, value, and atmosphere. The bill for four pupusas, two drinks, and an order of yuca frita came out to just $45 before tip.

I was already kind of full but the entrees we got were also very delicious. I wish I knew how to cook fish or chicken that juicy but keeping the outside crunchy-crispy. 10/10 for all the food. Idk why but the music was so upbeat and it kept me feel rushed for some reason but that might be just me! Haha The service was great, the water kept getting filled and they were very attentive. Would definitely come back again!

Authentic Taste of El Salvador - A Hidden Gem…read more We were on the hunt for authentic pupusas and struck gold with this small, hole-in-the-wall spot that delivers big on flavor and tradition. With an extensive menu full of classic Salvadoran options, we ultimately chose the pupusas revueltas, filled with chicharrón (pork rinds), frijoles (beans), and cheese. They were freshly made, so we did wait about 35 minutes--but it was absolutely worth it for the taste and quality. The accompanying green and red sauces were excellent complements, though a word to the wise: the red sauce (which is more orange in color) packs serious heat. If you love spicy food, you're in for a treat--but it might deserve a little PSA for the uninitiated! They also offer a wide selection of aguas frescas. I tried the jamaica (hibiscus juice), and it was refreshing and flavorful. The prices are very affordable, the portions generous, and beyond pupusas, the restaurant offers a variety of Salvadoran snacks, candies, chips, and even ice cream--perfect for anyone wanting to relive the flavors of home. A special thanks to Brenda, who curated a playlist of classic cumbia music that gave the whole experience a warm and nostalgic vibe. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone craving authentic Salvadoran food.

They have a nice selection of pupusas, plus a full menu of entrees, an assortment of drinks, and a few dessert options. I ordered two pupusas revueltas, atol de elote, and tres leches cake. The pupusas were perfect, crisp with delicious filling. They're served with a fresh slaw and tasty sauce. The atol de elote was fantastic, served piping hot, it featured sweet corn flavor and a great mouthfeel. The tres leches cake was a wonderful version, the icing was great and the cake texture was perfect to absorb just the right amount of "leches". Prices were very reasonable. Looking forward to returning for more of the same dishes and to try the entrees!

The pupusas were so delicious, cheap and freshly made. I called ahead of time to order and they were ready, neatly packed and hot when I arrived. Each pupusa costs $3 so the whole order of 5 came out to $15 - such a steal! They even throw in some curtido salad and sauces at no additional charge. Their curtido is a little different from the traditional. They add beets to theirs which is unique. For pupusas my husband ordered 3 - 1 jalapeño and cheese and 2 bean. I had 2 of the loroco and cheese. The cheese they use is so delicious! The jalapeño cheese, according to my husband, knocked it out of the park. I loved the loroco and cheese too. I thought the dough was nice and soft with a neutral taste. I like my dough a little more sweet than they make it but it was still good for me. We didn't realize the bean pupusa doesn't have cheese (you can request bean and cheese though) so those were a little on the dryer side but still very flavorful, especially when dipped in the sauces. Definitely adding this place to our takeout rotation. Highly recommend! 5/5
