Since every state in Mexico cooks staples differently we were curious to try Oaxacan Cuisine. The restaurant feels like a restaurant in Mexico, we sat in the second back room and we felt like we were transported to a restaurant town in Mexico. The server was great, nice and friendly and the food was amazing! I ordered their Oaxacan Style Ceviche and it was so good! It came out in a molcajete style plate, and it looked small, however it wasn't, the portion was generous! Our family member ordered the pozole and they shared it was also delicious. (We didn't try it because we don't eat poultry but it smelled so good). Overall great stop, and we will be stopping by when we're back in the Rocklin area.

I ordered from their Mezcalito Specials menu (green) and chose the Baja Fish Tacos ($18). I like the part that it came with rice and black beans. It included two fish tacos. Since I couldn't decide between grilled or fried I got one of each. The fish were beer battered with cabbage, mango, pico, avocado | opted out of the cilantro and onion | Chipotle Aioli on the side just in case I found it too spicy for my taste. It turned out that it added to wonderful flavors on the tacos. Unfortunately, the chips and salsa was not complimentary. Purchase separately. The servers were friendly and welcoming and it made for a pleasant first time experience! There are two dining sections so don't fret when you see the dining area full as you enter the restaurant. There is also a picnic bench under covered roof outside patio dining. You won't be disappointed! No wonder they are at almost perfect 5-stars in Yelp. Instagram: @mezcalitorocklin Review #4055

BWE ordered a burrito bowl without sour cream and cheese (food allergies). The fish taco was bigger than I thought it would be and it was incredible! So flavorful and juicy. It was filled with fish, lettuce, guacamole, pico de gallo. The fish was grilled perfectly. I could have eaten five of those. (I'm still thinking about it.) The super burrito was so tasty! The steak was delicious, and was perfectly accompanied by the beans, rice, pico, sour cream and guac. Again, the portion was huge. BWE really enjoyed her burrito bowl, which was more like a taco salad but I'm not complaining. Staff was great! Service was quick. They have a salsa bar with great salsas. I had a hard time choosing so I went with three of them. This is a must visit!

Our menu included: * Full tray of rice * Full tray of beans * Full tray of chicken fajitas * Full tray of steak fajitas * 50 burrito tortillas * 7 pounds of steak * 7 pounds of grilled chicken * 50 corn tortillas * Cilantro, onions, red and green salsa, and chips Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The meats were perfectly seasoned, the sides were excellent, and the salsas tied everything together beautifully. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the food--people were going back for seconds and even thirds! Beyond the food, the service was outstanding. The team was friendly, professional, and helped make the event stress-free. If you're planning a graduation party, birthday celebration, family gathering, or any special event, I highly recommend Taqueria La Bonita. They helped make our celebration memorable, and I can't wait to use them again for our next event!

I was at a nearby car lot and decided to stop for a quick bite when I came in it took over five minutes for someone to come out of the back of the restaurant to greet me and take my order as I was looking over the menu. I was being rushed by what appeared to be the owner or manager, I'm not sure what the rush was for because as previously stated there was no one there. It almost looked like an abandoned restaurant once I decided that I didn't feel too confident in ordering a whole meal. I just ordered two tacos and the manager that was assisting me, rudely replied is that all you want?? his attitude was horrible. I'm not sure why he would think it's a good idea to treat potential patrons that way, but I immediately walked out without completing an order and I will never return here. I hope that someone sees this review and decides to do better by potential customers. The guy that I am mentioning had glasses and was an older man. I hope that no one else has the same experience as me.

I've been here a few times prior and the food is consistently good. We were greeted and seated right away. Their chips came out hot and fresh, and I have to mention the salsa because it is so good. It has a slight kick to it and tastes homemade, which makes it even better! We snacked on a few baskets of chips while waiting for our food. I ordered the carne asada and it was honestly 10/10. The meat was fresh, tender, and full of flavor. The cilantro rice was also really tasty. My husband got the taco salad with carnitas and said it was great. The portion sizes are very generous! Such a good dinner and we will definitely be back!

I've been here once before and wasn't really impressed, but figured I'd give it another shot and see if it hit different this time. Honestly... it didn't. I had the chicken tacos and my cousin went with the menudo with hominy. Nothing was bad, it just didn't really stand out either. Kind of one of those meals where you eat it and forget about it on the drive home. You can tell they're trying, and I respect that, it just didn't come together for me. That said, service was great and the company was even better, so the experience itself wasn't a loss. Just one of those places where everything around the food was solid... but the food didn't quite match it.
