As always, I truly love this place. I'm not one to be influenced by hype, etc. but I think their products are really good. The service is very friendly. I order is always made correctly. Today was no exception. We got the la la latte iced and iced tiramisu latte. With the lady finger which was delicious just really great drink a good flavor/sweetness balance as well as coffee flavor. For me personally I think it's a good blend of that instead of a drinking super sweet. The street parking in a few municipal lots in the area, but I generally placed my order early jump out and grab it.
Lattes, teas, matcha and small snacks Ordered the LaLaLatte. Checking if the place is worthy. Drinks are their thing. Inside, somewhat organized drink making in a busy weekend. Pick up window is outside. People milling about and waiting for their order. So crowd enticed curiosity will hit passers by. But could improve as I am sure it will when the curiousity dies down and the regular flow becomes the norm. Efficiency and flow is good but could be better. Place is fairly clean to what you can expect when a place like this is opened. I am sure in the future stable state, this can be improved and better. Overall, they handled customers good and drinks are good. So verdict is yes, try this place at least once.
I'm so happy there is now a La La Land closer to my neck of the woods! It was my first time trying their match banana latte and I enjoyed it, can't wait to go back!
Of course the location is awesome! Staffs are so friendly and cute! I love their energy :) they spread their yellow power to Newport Beach. Coffee taste is better than Irvine Spectrum....
My family and I came here while staying in town for the weekend and we all got something different so we could try everything. I like that you can also choose to make your coffees half sweet, which is what I did for my banana iced latte - I think this might be a new favorite coffee for me! To eat, we all shared avocado toast with different toppings. Each had one of the following: classic with cilantro, cream cheese, and burrata. The burrata was my personal favorite. I wish I had a spot like this near me - I'd be here all the time.
My nieces and I recently visited this location and loved it! The coffee shop, atmosphere and surrounding area is so cute and welcoming and loved the everything about the cups, lids and the cute heart shaped straws! While we were here we tried the Banana Cloud Latte and the Upsidedown latte. I would definitely come back for the Banana Cloud, however, the Upsidedown was a little too sweet for me, but overall, not at all a bad drink. There was a line when we got there, but the staff was working efficiently and we got through the line pretty quickly. Waiting for the drink orders took a little longer, but with good company, it wasn't bad enjoying the scenery.
Was pleasantly surprised how good the drinks were and definitely lived up to all the hype on social media! Although there is a line, they have an online ordering platform that is really fast so there was no wait at all. All the drinks are placed at an outdoor shelf so no need to even walk in after you order online which is nice. The only thing is that this location does not have a lot of parking due to it being at Lido. As far as the actual drink, I really enjoyed how the Matcha latte did not come pre-sweetened because the strawberry foam was already sweet and mixed really well with the actual drink. The strawberry foam was made with real strawberries and did not have any artificial taste at all. My only complaint is that the drink drinks are really expensive for the size. The small size was already $7. Would definitely be back though!

Ive been twice so far and both were different experiences. Their soft opening was great with organized lines and easy service. The second time I went it was more chaotic with the mobile orders and the regular line being too close together which blocked the walkway for other people. Seems like they're still working out the kinks. Otherwise, service is very friendly and fast paced to get the lines moving. Drinks are super good! I tried the banana matcha and birthday matcha and my husband got the mocha. Also the Queen Avo toast is amazing, it has cream cheese and is loaded with avocado mash.
We love it in Dallas, LA and now here in Newport Beach.... They don't have the butter jam toast here in Newport Beach however, it's a cream cheese, honey and fresh strawberry delicious , just not the same. They have an incredible outdoor space , very dog friendly the parking structure is adjacent to the café and they do a $10 validation. It's yummy. I love all the new coffee drink drinks. And some of the old favorites like the vanilla lavender latte. And lots of fun merch...
La La Land Kind Cafe has some of the best coffee I've tried from a new spot in a long time. The hype honestly lives up to expectations. In terms of good quality espresso and good quality matcha. Everything feels incredibly intentional, from the storefront and merchandise to the little details like the cups, heart-shaped straws, and lids. You can tell a lot of thought went into the overall experience, and it makes sense why they've become so popular. The service was quick, despite a long line. I ordered the banana latte, and it was a standout. Not overly sweet, which I really appreciated, but still flavorful and well-balanced. The space itself is on the smaller side. There's a bit of a waiting area out front, and you can find additional seating in the surrounding market area, but it's not really a place to linger for long inside. Parking can be a bit tricky due to the location. Street parking is limited, and the nearby structure runs around $10 depending on how long you stay, though you can get your ticket validated at the cafe. Overall, definitely worth checking out. Great coffee, thoughtful branding, and a unique experience that sets it apart from your typical coffee spot.
TLDR: If you want to go to a cafe for the aesthetics and the pictures, this place is for you. If you care about coffee and what you're drinking, this is a hard pass. I didn't have to wait too long after my pick up time to get the drinks, so that was a plus! I got the World's Best Vanilla Latte with less sugar, and my friends both got the matcha einspanners. When the drinks were ready, I was shocked at how small the einspanner cups were -- especially with it being $7 each. My latte was extremely sweet even with the adjusted sugar, and it completely masked any kind of coffee taste. Especially with it being named world's best - it definitely was not. My friends' matchas were powdery and the flavor was lacking depth. I'm surprised at how many people have said their matchas are good - just from the looks of it, the shade at first glance was already off! That being said, the staff were nice even with the rush and the crowd. The interior is gorgeous and there's plenty of outdoor seating as well. Parking can be tricky since it's located in Lido. With all the hype on social media, I was not impressed with the drinks. It could be since they're still new, but with the high price points and the subpar drinks, I wouldn't come back.

They have limited amount of seating inside and some seating in the back. We got the einspanner latte and the banana latte. Both drinks are amazing! I love the creaminess and flavor. My husband is lactose intolerant and is able to drink the einspanner matcha. We also got 2 of the avocado toast (the original and the burrata one). Both were really good with a nice kick to it. The burrata was nice and refreshing for the hot day. The workers are so friendly and nice! The vibes are there and so glad that they opened a location in the oc. There is limited street parking but they're also located next to the parking structure so that's convenient.
I'm in La La land. I was hoping that after two weeks the hype would have died down but unfortunately there was a group of people gathered all around the store. It wasn't a big deal because the wait went by at a decent pace. I waited about 10 minutes to order and another 25mins for my order but they do have orders ahead options through their app.., pro tip for next time! I came during their free yellow cup day and got a couple of reusable cups. I tried their tomato and mozzarella egg bites, matcha lemonade and strawberry matcha. Everything was pretty good for the price. I paid $20 for two small drinks and a small breakfast bite which is fair in my opinion. Parking sucks in the Lido village so I parked in the nearby structure which was another $10 bucks. I'll definitely come back but once the hype dies down a bit.
La La Land Kind Cafe in Newport Beach became my go-to coffee spot on vacation and when I say go-to, I mean I ended up here every single day! The Banana Cloud Latte is sooo good. I'm more of a classic coffee guy and usually don't like drinks that are overly sweet, but this was fantastic. Just the right amount of sweetness with great coffee flavor underneath. I liked it so much that there was really no reason to go anywhere else the rest of the trip. My family loved this place too. The service was excellent, and they absolutely nail the branding, marketing, and overall style, a 10 out of 10. I also really enjoyed the patio seating out back, which made it an even better place to hang out and enjoy your coffee. Great coffee, great vibe, great service. I already know where I'm getting my coffee the next time I'm in Newport Beach. Can't wait to go back! read more

I'm so excited to finally try La La Land! I was greeted the moment I stepped inside. Thanks! After waiting a few minutes in line, I was called to order. I still hadn't decided to was provided recommendations based off matcha or coffee and sweetness level. I chose the perfect latte. It has the "perfect" name. It's just right, not too sweet and I can taste the matcha. Yum! I was hungry so also ordered the La La avocado toast with egg. It was really good and filling! I loved the different flavors of the seasonings. It's so bright and cheerful inside, you can't help but smile. I cannot wait to try more items! I also noticed a great kids menu too! I'll be back with my girls :) read more

Had the tiramisu latte here and it was so good I had to come back the next day to try the perfect matcha. The matcha is also good can't wait to try other items on the menu. It's a very cute place with cute seating in the back for you to enjoy your food and drinks. It always looks like there's a huge line but it's just the people waiting for their drinks in the front read more
The refresher drink I got was pretty good. The tiramisu matcha didn't taste like it at all. The service was really good though ! It was super busy but they had the drinks out pretty fast. The outdoor seating in the back is really cute too. read more
My friend and I went for their 50% off deal during their soft opening. The line was pretty long but moved quickly and we didn't wait more than 25 minutes from the time we got in line to receiving our drinks. The employees were all super sweet even with how swamped they were and the cafe is so cute! There isn't much seating, just a few tables outside, but it is a wonderful location to get a drink and walk around the shops. Note that parking is only validated for the first hour though!! Now onto the drinks...we got the La La Latte and French Toast Matcha Latte. Both were more on the sweet side and honestly nothing super special. The drinks were pretty small for being almost $8 regular price so I probably wouldn't come back to pay full price for a latte. The french toast matcha didn't have any french toast flavor and just tasted like a basic matcha latte. There was a weird aftertaste too, maybe the sweetener they use? first tried La La Land when I visited Houston, and I immediately fell in love with how cute and inviting it was--the perfect spot to grab a matcha latte with friends. Ever since then, I've been hoping they'd open a location in Orange County, so when I heard about the Newport Beach grand opening, I knew I had to be there. Even though it was opening day, everything ran so smoothly from ordering to receiving my drink, which really impressed me. My matcha latte was just as good as I remembered, and the entire experience felt effortless. What stood out the most, though, was how friendly and welcoming the staff were. They really made the experience even better. Definitely worth the visit, and I'm so excited to have one closer to home now! read more
La La Land Cafe is already off to such a great start at their new location. I went during the soft opening (they had 50% off drinks, which was such a treat), and the experience was so good. The service really stands out... everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole vibe feel even more positive and uplifting. Their matcha is one of my favorites, but I'd definitely recommend ordering it half sweet unless you love a super sweet drink. As for the ambiance, there's limited indoor seating, but they also offer outdoor seating, which is perfect for enjoying your drink in the Newport weather. Overall, such a cute spot with great energy, and I'll definitely be coming back. read more
Obviously vibes are number one here. Very good energy. Coffee, matcha, cookie everything tasted great. Had been to the west LA location and this is just as good, maybe better though smaller store. They have outdoor seating on both sides of the store. Line was super long over the weekend so we didn't stay, but much better midweek. Would come back again soon even though Herst around the corner has my favorite coffee. Maybe I'll continue to go to Herst for hot coffee and La La Land for iced coffee and matcha! read more
I recently tried La La Land Cafe and got the strawberry cloud matcha latte--so good! It was super creamy, not overly sweet, and the strawberry flavor tasted really fresh (not artificial at all). It honestly tasted like they used real strawberries, which I loved. There was a bit of a line when I got there, but it moved pretty quickly--no more than about 10 minutes. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, especially when it came to recommending drinks and sharing their favorites. There's also seating in the back of the cafe that's really cute and aesthetic--such a nice spot to hang out. I'll definitely be coming back to try more drinks! read more

To Start as you walk up to it or even see it from the street , a line is already forming . Line goes fast and the cafe food looks great the chocolate chip cookie was amazing. They sell merch too and it's legit hear to wear Nice place with a lot of different lattes to choose from with every choice of milks and non milks for your choice . Went during their soft opening on a Friday around 4:30pm, and the line wasn't as bad as I was expecting. It moved pretty quickly, and a worker came out to let us know to download the app to get 50% off! I got a lala latte, which I would give a 3/5 - it was too sweet for me. They ran out of straws, but the cups were super cute. The workers are also very friendly and made the whole experience very enjoyable. We also got free parking in the garage, so for half off drinks, the overall experience was worth it. read more
Yayyy! Finally a La La Land in Newport!!! It's even on my way to work which is a plus. I went during the soft opening week and ordered the lululemon chai. This was delicious. The staff were so friendly and welcoming! They had so much energy in the morning which was the visit so much(: Pro tip: Parking in front of the cafe is free before 8am. This is one of the CUTEST coffee shops ever! the vibe is so fun and the staff is so welcoming and kind. It was my first time there and I tried the world's best vanilla latte, and it was incredible. The line outside was very chaotic, the employee standing outside had to direct multiple people of where the line ended, and what was the actual line to order and what was the pickup area. I ordered a chai latte and it was very bland. I also got an avocado toast, and that had good flavor but it had way too much avocado compared to the size of the bread. I did like the seating area outside in the back. This was my first time ever at a LaLaLand and I felt it was overhyped. read more
Went today during their 50% opening deal and loved it! If you download their app you get 50% off on your order so my matcha was about $4 which is a great deal! I ordered the banana cloud matcha and didn't really love it, my friend had ordered the latte version and hers was SO GOOD! So if you're getting the banana one def do the latte version. BUT someone didn't pick up their strawberry field matcha and they asked it I wanted to sample it and it was so much better, this was a must try and def makes me want to come back! Workers were so sweet and so fast, it was an insanely long line and they were able to handle the crowd well. 100% will be coming back! (Also their attention to detail is top tier, the straws were in the shape of hearts!) read more
I got the strawberry matcha and my bf got the banana matcha. Overall both drinks were ok I think mine was alittle better. It's not worth the drive but since I was in the area I made a stop. I'd come back to try the other drinks but it definitely didn't wow me. read more

The reason for the low rating is based on how unfriendly and rude the girl who was passing out drinks to the window was. It was early before 9AM. They weren't crazy busy. She blew me off and made me feel less than, as if I didn't just buy food and drinks from an over priced cafe. The LA location is much better as far as customer service. and they get very crowded read more
First time coming here at Lido location and we almost gave up cuz parking is horrible and it was at a bad time cuz there was a boat show happening so there was so much traffic. I got an iced tea cuz it was too late for coffee and it was super sweet. I definitely want to go back to try one of their coffees. Their branding is so cute and love the heart topper of course. Their pastries looked yummy too so I want to try their toasts and a sweet treat. read more
La la land was just the perfect touch that Newport needed. I love the splash of fun color and kindness this adds to the beach vibes. The inside was as immaculate as ever. I made the funnest decision to go on opening week and let me just say the wait was LONG. But, I got a front parking spot so I just sat in my car and people watched. This was my first time trying la la land and I'll say it was truly one of the best matchas I have ever had. It was so super velvet-y and smooth. I wish I lived closer! Located in the Lido Marina Village, this new addition to the neighborhood has sparked some significant buzz as I've heard it's the location in Orange County that has opened...for now. (Stay tuned Irvine Spectrum) Since this particular location was steps away from my home, I thought why not check it out and find out what all the hype was about Did an online order to save time so when I arrived I waited about 20min to finish one of the specialized drinks, not too shabby considering the place was busting from the seams with eager patrons gaping out onto the sidewalk Ordered a variety of hot and iced coffees for my team. I recommend if you want a reusable coffee cup, go for the iced version I ordered a hot latte and it was creamy smooth and delicious! Ordered a flakey croissant and a children's avocado toast, which was quite substantial. Both were incredibly good! They offered ample seating outside which was nice and the interior was clean and inviting. As more locations and the hype dies down, I hope they remain in the neighborhood. I have been to this location twice and I really like the vibe here. They are truly very friendly and it's a great way to start your day with that kind of mood. The matcha here is ok but I think their espresso drinks are good. They have more seatings out back next to the parking lot. I've only come here on the weekdays but it's always packed. Drinks dong take long to come out. Will be back! read more
Coffee shops are so subjective but this place hit all the marks for me. Conveniently located if you're shopping in this plaza, super easy to pop in and grab a walking around coffee. My wife has been wanting to try this forever and we didn't even know it was here. The crowd can be intimidating but the actual line moved super fast, in and out in just a couple minutes. Our cashier was friendly and very helpful making the right selection (there's a lot of options for a relatively small menu). The interior was chic and modern just like the rest of the branding. I really like the window that opens on the street where you pickup your order, makes moving through the inside a lot easier than some other popular spots. This coffee was solid. I tagged along to see what the hype was about and I absolutely get it. The banana cloud latte was the perfect level of sweetness and somehow balanced the banana flavor with cinnamon and a very smooth coffee blend. Somehow the fact that the cups and straws aren't flimsy adds something to the experience that this isn't a regular cup of coffee. If we hadn't already had lunch plans I would have grabbed something to eat, everything looked great. Already planning our next trip back. read more
First time coming to this location. Luckily we got there before the line was out the door. The staff was friendly and welcoming. A very busy spot. It's a cute coffee shop. Their matcha 10/10. They also have cute merchandise. Loved it! read more

Lovely location to hangout with friends in Lido Marina Village. They have pastries, matcha, and coffee. I got the banana creme matcha latte with oat milk and was disappointed. I've had some good matcha in the OC area so my expectations were high. The drink was bland, bitter, and had hints of banana. read more
