Let me start with a warning that La Luz is difficult to find inside the Westin La Paloma Resort since there is hardly any signage when you walk in the hotel to try to find it. I suggest asking the hotel check-in staff how to get to the main restaurant entrance. Additionally, I dropped a star as parking is a pain! You have to use a QR code to pay to park even though this restaurant is not in the downtown or metered parking areas. They have a validation code to use at the restaurant entrance to cover parking, but I could never get the online submission form to actually work. The ambiance inside the restaurant is very open with vaulted ceilings, large indoor and outdoor patio seating areas. They have giant windows overlooking scenic mountain views. Now the customer service from our waitress was stellar and the food was really good! For it being a weekend, it also was not very busy. The calamari and scallops seemed fresh, my husband enjoyed the prime New York steak, and the Thai tea chocolate cake dessert with honeycomb was a good combination of flavors. As it was a golf resort the prices, especially for drinks, are high. However, if they were to get rid of the parking fee and added some signage it would greatly improve things.

The food was tremendous! We ordered the calamari fresh and was delicious. We ordered the prime burger with hatch green chili. The ambiance exceptional looking out at the mountains outside the window here at the Westin La Paloma. The waiter took are order and then a wait staff brought out our food . Nice restaurant for a lovely anniversary dinner.

Came here while we stayed for our staycation and food and service was amazing. We tried the risotto with chicken and also had the dessert. The vibes here are immaculate I love the setting with the large glass windows and the romantic vibes it gives off. Food was 10/10 and will definitely come back again.

I absolutely love the Westin La Paloma and the La Luz restaurant did not disappoint. I decided to come here with friends for a Sunday buffet/brunch and it was absolutely amazing. The fruit was fresh, and I really enjoyed the pancakes, the eggs, the bacon, and the oatmeal. The wait staff were impeccable and the service was on par for such a fine establishment. I always had my coffee filled and felt that the service was exceptional. I will definitely come back to try dinner and other fine pairings that they have at this great restaurant.

Restaurant was almost empty, service was very poor and food was very mediocre for the price. Won't be returning.

The interior is visually congested, not in a bad way but with lots of decor, seating, movement areas and etc. It makes a feeling of the space being busy and distracting. I prefer calmer spaces but it's not terrible. Service was prompt, frequent and wonderful. An older woman came by and asked how we wanted salsa and made us a bowl which was INCREDIBLE! So savory, spicy, fresh and left me wanting more. (You get a certain amount salsa and chips per person than you gotta pay). It was literally perfect. We weren't super hungry and wanted to share, to us the serving was more than enough for two. We enjoyed a house rocks margarita, grilled steak fajitas with rice and beans, sides of sour cream and guacamole and also some chips and salsa. It was all very well made, came out steaming and was very satisfying. The space felt cold to me, but seemed fine to all else. So just a note there if you run on the warmer side. I don't know if they do reservations, but I would imagine on some nights it would be a good idea seeing as they seem very busy.

Which, you know, is kind of the whole point of a restaurant. The atmosphere was great, a little on the nose, but great none the less. It feels like a Mexican dinner or at least what I imagined a dinner in Mexico would look like. The staff where beyond amazing, especially the woman who made our complementary salsa right at the table. And the salsa was yummy but sadly that's the only part of the meal that I can say that about. The thing is, nothing was truly bad, but just about everything was incredibly bland. You'd have expected someone who puts raisins in potato salad to have served it, not an authentic Mexican restaurant. Though the positive is the lack of seasoning is really the only major problem. The food did not have any weird taste, it wasn't dry, the presentation was fine. It simply needs to be seasoned and this place goes to a solid 4/5 rather than a three.

I tried the smoked tuna tacos this time and they were just wonderful. Our server was a real gem. She brought over some gratis ceviche for us to try - it's great! The staff was friendly and welcoming while we waited, and they made sure our order was complete except for a side of chips, which wasn't a big deal since they provided plenty of tostadas. The server even went the extra mile by including small containers of our favorite hot sauce, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, once we got home, we noticed the Camarón Culichi wasn't quite up to the standard we've come to expect from Mariscos Chihuahua. The Culichi sauce was much thinner than usual, and the quality and portion of the shrimp seemed to have changed. There were only a few shrimp in the dish, and they were noticeably smaller than what we've received during previous visits. The shrimp ceviche was still enjoyable, although the flavor also seemed a little different than usual. Overall, it was still a delicious meal, and we'll definitely be back because we've always had great experiences here. We just hope this was an isolated experience and not a sign that the restaurant's quality is changing.

What a pleasure to see the menu- not too overbearing , yet plenty of options on the 4 pages. The variety of offerings were usual fare in basic sense of any place serving Me Ivan food yet- not. Who has crispy avocado tacos for instance? Mexican style quesadilla? We ended up each getting the Classic Burrito- however this is not for the person who eats like a bird. It is HUGe and we saw reason for $17 price- my goodness- this is second day since going and eating lunch from it today and I still have enough left for third meal and maybe another! The Birria meat- best so have had besides a friend making it slightly better but close! The peppers I added to mine- delicious! The service happy and kind - even when my older mother "needed" a paper receipt- "Sigh" The ambiance is nice as you stand in line under shade to order then have the option to sit in courtyard and eat or take home. We took ours as she had to get home to her dog - we both agreed it was delicious and we would return! Highly recommend!

Three people in our group ordered the surf and turf, either as burritos or tacos, and none of us enjoyed it. Both burritos had a strip of cold, unmelted cheese running through them, and the tortillas were undercooked. The shrimp was overcooked. When we asked if the cheese could be melted, the waiter checked with the kitchen and returned to tell us that the kitchen said they do not melt the cheese. The bartender was attentive and aware of our needs, but unfortunately, the rest of the male staff were not. Overall, the food and service were both disappointing.
