Salmon kebab dinner plate, chicken pomegranate dinner plate
    Chris W.

Good portions, food came out quickly. Server was friendly, although we were out of water and didn't offer a refill. Food itself was saltier than I recall from their Fillmore location, side salad looked a bit soggy. Otherwise the salmon kebab pieces were cooked well and would definitely recommend.

Best Mediterranean in SF! The waiter was kind and the food was phenomenal. Each entree came with a soup and there was plenty of fresh pita bread. The chicken soup was good and the hummus was thick and flavorful

Very accommodating for large groups! For the times that I have gone with 10+ people, they have been welcoming of our last minute reservations or our party coming 5-10 minutes late. The restaurant itself has several dozen seats, and I love the cozy vibes given by the decorated walls and brown/blue theme of the restaurant. Most recently, for our large party, we ordered some appetizers including their Large Combination dip, and I got their Grilled Chicken Shawarma over Rice. Their main dinner entrees came with hummus, pita, and a choice of something else (I chose their Tomato Soup for the day). The dips were displayed beautifully and were delicious, with my personal favorite being their hummus and baba ghanoush. I loved the creaminess of their Tomato Soup along with how their chicken was cooked and seasoned. The variety of dishes on their menu means that there's something for everyone to try!

I have gone here for many years and now that I live in San Diego, I always try to come and eat here if I'm back in San Francisco. It's a cozy little place with great food and great service. Always a wonderful spot to catch up with friends and share food and wine.

We came here for an impromptu date night, we were seated right away but our first table was a bit wobbly, Or waiter actually noticed fist and offered to move us. I had the Lamb Sirloin Kababs and my wife had the Lamb Shwarma. I paired mine with the Chicken soup while she had the potato salad. The food was delicious, I think our favorite was the rice and hummus which was incredibly creamy. We also had the dessert trio, which was great since we were indecisive on what to get.

Mainstay on Noe Street for as long as I can remember. Their sandwich board advertising the lamb kebab special brought us in. The ambiance is casual, rustic and Zen with Hellenic decor and gently worn wood. Food is as good as I remembered. We split the combination plate of hummus, baba ghanoush and tabuleh with vegetables and warm pita bread. The baba ghanoush has an umami, smoky taste that hits every note. We both had the lamb sirloin kebab over saffron rice accompanied by Avgolemono soup, a preparation with lots of lemon juice and finely shredded chicken. I'm starting to like their soup preparation; it's unique. The lamb kebab was a little dry but still very tasty and with all the elements on the plate including two dipping sauces, it came together perfectly. A glass of dry white wine was a relaxed way to begin the holiday week over a late lunch. Service was warm and attentive. They brought us extra pita bread for my swimmer and checked on us while we dined. A great place for lunch or dinner. Metered street parking, not difficult during the day.

Was craving some Mediterranean and stopped for lunch here. This spot did not disappoint. We grabbed a seat outside on their parklet during some amazing weather and luckily there happeend to be a holiday market happening right in front of the restaurant. This made our lunch very lively! We shared the small dips trio and a falafel wrap with a side salad lunch special. Everything was exceptionally fresh and well prepared. I would habe maybe liked a bit of spice option but the food was great already on its own so we didnt end up needing it. It would have just made it a plus. Our service was attentive and cordial without interrupting. This made our lunch experience a great one and now will add this restaurant as an option and will consider checking out their other location as well.

Had a great lunch here because of the warm and friendly service, nice outdoor seating, and good food and wine. They had a different menu for lunch and dinner, I didn't look too much at the menus because their chicken shawarma salad special for the day sounded so delicious it was an easy choice. About half of our table, if not more ended up ordering that. We also ordered some liter bottles of their house chardonnay, which ended up being perfect for the beautifully sunny day. The service from everyone working was very nice. They were quick to get our food and wine, and provided a really welcoming atmosphere. We had a group of 8 and stopped in on a Friday afternoon, they were able to quickly push some tables together and get us seated in the parklet.

My friend had this place cater a party, and I was so impressed with the food that I had to come try it in person. The restaurant is cute, cozy, and serves delicious Greek and Middle Eastern cuisine. We started with the small combination dips that includes hummus, baba ghanoush, and tabouleh. They which were all fresh and flavorful. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate and absolutely loved it! Staff was really nice and attentive. Prices are very fair, and I'd definitely recommend this spot.

I've been a fan of La Med since the 90's when a coworker introduced me to La Méditerranée on Fillmore street, which was opened in 1979. We would order the Middle Eastern plate and I would switch up the items, as everything I have tried was delicious. It came with soup, salads and your choice of three items. So fast forward to this past year, we went on a boat tour for work of the Bay and they had it catered by La Med. I was so delighted to be able to have this food and rave about this place again. Since then, we have had the catering a few times as it make for great snacking plates. We had a work happy hour and ordered through Doordash to be delivered to the bar. Worked out amazingly and we had the Fruit and Sweet Treats tray (small), Dips and Pita Bread Tray (small) and the Combination Tray (small) to feed a group of about 10 for appetizers. The food is still so good, the service is friendly and prompt. Always a great choice for something a little healthier and delicious.

I revisited this spot just a few days ago and am so glad I gave it another shot! We ordered the chicken pomegranate plate and the salmon kebab. The chicken was so juicy and fell off the bone! This dish takes a bit longer to prepare but was absolutely worth the wait. The salmon kebab was also super flavorful and silky! Pairing both of these meats with the rice and hummus was incredible. The service was 1000 times better too! She was very tentative to us and was so sweet when recommending what bottle of wine to get.

    Linda Y.

Came here for a cozy weekend brunch after a Soulcycle workout with a friend. I really enjoyed the Chicken pomegranate wrap (the sides were also delicious), was very juicy and well-balanced flavors. Shakshuka was also great (though maybe not on the level of Troya on Fillmore) and hummus platter was tasty and healthy. Service was also fast on the day we went, as it wasn't very busy. I've been to the location on Fillmore too but I think liked the food at this location a bit more? Overall solid Mediterranean option in the city

We are here pretty regularly. It's nice to have staff recognize and want to come talk with us while here. The food is consistently good, and the prices still reasonable. Good food good service and friendly people. What more can you ask for?

Of course, curiosity got the best of me, so I came back the next day--and wow, I'm glad I did. From the moment you walk in, you're hit with the culture, the decor, and the energy of the place. The atmosphere alone is worth experiencing, but the food is what really steals the show. We started with the sampler, which came with a variety of appetizers and dips. The baba ghanoush was absolutely fire, and the shakshuka was packed with flavor. The chicken plate was solid, the kebab plates were incredibly juicy, and the glazed braised lamb was completely off the hook. For dessert, the muhalabia was the perfect finish, and the grilled hanger steak is an absolute must-order. And whatever you do, don't leave without trying Samir's hand-kneaded bread--it's unforgettable. If you haven't checked this place out yet, do yourself a favor and make the trip. The hype is real

I ordered the chicken and beef kabob plate, and while the meat was flavorful, I wish they included more hummus. At around $25- $30 per plate, I expected a more generous portion. I ordered takeout and arrived about an hour later because the app never updated to show my order was ready. Surprisingly, the restaurant wasn't very busy, and they didn't start preparing my food until I got there. I mentioned that I had placed the order an hour earlier and expected it to be ready, but the server seemed to brush off my concern, which was disappointing. One highlight was the hot sauce. I'm not sure if it's house-made or not, but it's so good. The pita, however, was a letdown. I prefer my pita soft, fluffy, and warm, but this one was hard and grainy. Overall, it's a cute restaurant with decent food, but it isn't my top choice.

There was complimentary bread which was insanely good and fluffy and warm plus tahini and an onion tomato sauce I think along with radishes and olives. We are not olive ppl sadly but I tried one and it was pretty okay. The service was great and all the servers were super attentive and accommodating. The Stuffed falafel was so good and huge 1 is enough for 2 people. The mosabaha was very refreshing and so good. The meat combo was good overall and everything was very herbally spiced, I wasn't impressed by the lamb tho but the kebab, hummus, and chicken were great! I haven't had Mousakhan before so not sure how it should taste but to me it was sweet and savory with really well cooked chicken. I honestly felt pretty healthy overall cause I was eating hella veggies and everything tasted so fresh. The kunafa was good we got it crispy and was yummy imo but was a lil oily (I think this is normal tho). Arab food isn't really spicy but it is spiced and very herbal which I felt in the food here, I appreciate that chili sauce is provided for the spice lovers. Overall, would highly recommend. It was about $100ish for everything and they recently increased their prices but tbh the portion sizes are huge and I feel like it is so worth it we had hella leftovers. If we had 4 ppl instead of 2 it would've been perfect portions for everyone.

My guy ordered this and thought it was average. 3/5 LAMB SHISH KEBAB WRAP ~ this was my dish. I ate one half of the wrap and it only held two cubes of lamb meat. The lettuce and tomatoes made the wrap bland. The meat was seasoned, but everything was plain, so it needed more seasoning. Honestly, this was missing flavor! I'll have to add something to it when I eat the rest of this wrap at home. 2.5/5 HALF ROASTED CHICKEN AND RICE ~ Our friend ordered this dish. It needed more sumac. This tasted like plain roasted chicken. Maybe it needs more seasoning while marinating. It wasn't dry, so that's a relief. Rice was ok and it wasn't dry or soggy. 3.5 We've been spoiled and have had better food in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Nothing stood out for any of us. Prices are a bit high for what you get. When we got there, it was extremely busy inside and outside, but despite the anticipated wait, we were seated within 5 minutes or so. As a heads up, the Cole Valley location is very small. There is seating inside and outside, but it is pretty loud inside (not that it detracted from our meal). We noticed there was a lot of take out orders coming through, so it seems like this place is equally popular for takeout, which makes sense given it's small size (they do not take reservations). We started off with the mezze sampler, which has lebna, muhammara, baba ganoush, hummus, pickles, and falafel. We all loved the sampler, although we noticed it didn't come with a lot of pita bread. Since most of our entrees were also coming with pita bread, it wasn't an issue. I particularly enjoyed the lebna, which was super creamy but had a nice tang that rounded out the flavor. The hummus and baba ganoush were also very good, and the muhammara was rich and had a great flavor. My mom got the falafel platter, my dad got the grilled hanger steak, my partner got the musakhan and I got the chicken shish tawook plate. My mom really enjoyed the falafel platter. It was super loaded with falafel, baba ganoush and hummus. The falafels were really good. They were nicely fried, but still had a soft and tender interior. My dad liked the hanger steak, which was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The green zhug sauce was interesting, and the freekeh had a nice nutty and earthy flavor. Our favorites were the musakhan and the chicken shish tawook plate. The musakhan had a really interesting sweet/savory spiced flavor, and was complemented really nicely with the caramelized onions, sumac, pine nuts and toasted pita. The skin had a nice crispness but the chicken was super tender. The chicken shish tawook was definitely my favorite. The chicken had an incredible, charcoal-grilled taste and was super tender without being dry or overcooked at all. This was the best bite I've had all year, and I loved dipping the grilled chicken in the lebna, muhammara, baba ganoush and hummus that remained from our sampler plate. Highly, highly recommend this place. Super reasonable prices for generous portions of super flavorful food. Next time, we'd love to try the lamb shank and branzino.

I arrived around 5:45PM and they had a few spots open. They have a good amount of tables, and the interior decor makes the entire spot feel elevated. I placed my order around 6PM and received my food around 6:40PM. I ordered a falafel appetizer and paired it with a Mixed Grill Kebab and a Beyti. The falafel was really crunchy and flavorful, and overall tasted freshly made. The Beyti was a more riskier dish we ordered, as we aren't as familiar with Mediterranean cuisine. It's basically the meat from the Kofte Kebab wrapped in a bread, with seasoned yogurt as dipping sauce. Since we were familiar with the Kofte taste, this dish was a good twist on the flavor and I would definitely recommend it, especially as a shareable plate! The Mixed Grill Kebeb took the show, because how can a chicken breast be so juicy? We ordered this one to taste all this establishment had to offer, and the chicken was arguably better than the lamb. The chicken breast was super juicy and flavorful, but the lamb felt a little under-seasoned and could've used a little bit more salt. Not a big fan of the gamey taste of lamb, but the lamb chop here had very little - to a point where it tasted GOOD. The seasoning they use is magical, and the hints of cumin mask the taste exceptionally well. Did I mention big portions and good service? I love how this place diverges from the small SF portions and gives you a fulfilling meal with leftovers if needed. We are so accustomed to not taking home leftovers when I remember getting leftovers everytime pre covid! Bursa is an amazing place to take the parents, the inlaws, or even visiting friends to experience one of the many pockets of SF's vibrant districts while getting yummy food without paying tech bro prices.
