Terrible and infuriating. I placed an order for delivery at 2:45 today. My poor delivery driver waited over an hour and a half while they kept telling him "it'll be 12 more minutes." One hour and 40 minutes later and they say "we are putting the order in the oven now." I worked in hospitality for 20 years and there is no such thing as a 2 hour order-ever. There is literally no reality where an order takes 2hrs. There is no volume of business in any store that results in a 2hr ticket time. That means-poor management and staff. Positives are, the staff is super welcoming and personable, the pizza is super close to what you get on the streets of New York. Thin, crispy and flavor. Downside is the sandwich bread is the style that has the hard shell, take a bite, and all the innards slip out the back. I guess that's a preference, but I don't know any pizza and sub places that use this type of bread, not traditional.. also, there's no seating so if you don't feel like being a jerk and hoarding a table, or getting there during rush, you have to eat in your car. read more

Really wanted to like this place especially because there are somehow several 5 star reviews and is hyped on social media but I was seriously disappointed! We arrived around 2 on a Saturday and the shop is very small. Parking was difficult since the lot is also very limited in space. I ordered 2 slices of pepperoni pizza and waited about 10 minutes which is fine but the wait is absolutely not worth it. Our pizza slices were basically DRENCHED in oil. I mean it seriously looked like they grabbed a slice and drenched it in a bucket of oil before serving it. I also found the pepperoni to be extremely salty. Pep slice had potential after e heating it but arrived cold and stale. Mortadella sandwich was raved as "best in LA" which I totally get is on big ole opinion but it was a little underwhelming. I'd say cut the cheese portion in half as from a texture standpoint it felt all too similar. The bottom half of the bread was overcooked so badly that it also was very hard and didn't elevate the sandwich much. I can't believe this guy was a photographer turned Pizzaiolo. His pies taste like he's been in the business for generations. I had three pies last night-three different all cheeses for the vegetarian in our life and all were supreme. The sourdough crust is outstanding! It held up to the topping and didn't get soggy by the time I got up the hill. Also ordered the zucchini which was consumed on the way home after pickup (power move). This will be my new go-to in Silverlake. My only wish is that they were open late night, but I understand the economics of staying open late. read more

Oh my goodness, can a pizza be this good? Yes! I've been coming to La Sorted's since they opened and it never disappoints. This time I added the Cesar salad and it was incredibly refreshing, as well as the Spicy but oh so sweet boy and Adriana. I saw their pizza demonstration on the TV show Good Day LA and had to try it. It is the BEST pizza that I have had anywhere. Also, they have great deli sandwiches and AMAZING meatball sandwiches. The deli sandwiches have generous portions of meat and it is high quality and tasty. The meatballs are tender and mouth-watering good in their meatball sandwiches. The meatballs are drenched in a delicious marinara sauce. If you are looking for the best pizzas and sandwiches this is the place you have got to try for yourself. I've heard about this spot for a while now but hadn't had the chance to try it until recently. First off, I had friends give me bites of left over pizza they had from here. Pizza was left over from earlier in the day and was cold. Which is fine. It tasted good. But in my opinion the star of the show is their sandwiches. Wow. The father in law on focaccia is fantastic. The mozzarella wheels are good. I've now ordered from here three times (today being the most recent) and today might have been better than the first time (cue Foreigners "Feels Like the First Time" ). Came here the other evening before an event at los globos and can say this pizza is legit!! They have so many different styles available. My friends and I just got basic pepperoni but it was delicious. The crust was thick but base was on the thinner side. It was overwhelmed with sauce or cheese. The ratios were perfect. Gave this place a second try because they ran out of meatballs last time I came. I from NYC and grew up on Italian deli food. I was surprised how small the sandwiches were for $15 each. The meatball sandwich did not have round meatballs, but rather long rectangles. More like a meatloaf. Both ends of the bread was burned and hard. Taste was just okay and little dry on some bite's because it didn't have enough sauce. The meatball sandwich at Eastside deli is much better and a couple dollars cheaper. The mortadella was just okay too, it didn't have enough of the spread so it wasn't well balanced. Total cost was $32.86 for 2 sandwiches which didn't leave me satisfied. Now I know never to come back and not sure why they have such a high rating? Maybe their pizza is good, but it's more of a personal size pizza. Overall their cost is high for the quality and quantity of the sandwiches. Although, Courage bagels are on the high end, at least it's justifiable because it tastes good. These were just mediocre so not worth the price and wait of 20 minutes! Not sure why it took so long as there was only in person in front of me. Save your time and money and go somewhere else for Italian sandwiches!! read more
