When I asked my vegetarian kid what kind of pizza she wanted she said can we get this place again? Classic, fresh pepperoni pizza with some honey on top. Wow! Artichoke pesto - I wanted to just try another. Although the employee warned me it may be a little one note, I got it. It was good! I do see how you can get tired or bored with after trying the others but it was still fire. Spot is to go only with a small table outside. I honestly love that feel of eating wherever you find room. I wanted to like it but the pizza was super greasy (too high a heat applied to even the best cheese will break it) and the price of that disappointment was unpalatable. First of all, great bread: if the bread is good a sandwich is 80% successful. I think the flavor profile is not very balanced: the first bit was amazing but by the end it got too salty. One easy solution is a drizzle of honey/hot honey. I purchased a side of hot honey and I put it on half of my sandwich, I think it for sure made it better, so I would suggest the restaurant to consider adding it to the recipe, just a drizzle and it would do the trick. read more

Ordered the Stepfather and it turned out to be one of the best damned hoagies I've ever had - and I'm from NY/NJ. I take this seriously. It's their bread. They make their own, so it is fresh, crisp on the outside and flavorful and airy on the inside. It compresses nicely so it makes for a perfect meat:bread ratio. Seating is almost not existent, just a few stools in the parking lot, so taking your food away might be a better call. On the other hand, eating a world class hoagie in a parking lot only enhances the allure. For me anyway. read more

I saw this place on Instagram so when it popped up on too good to go I had to snag it! I ordered two additional pieces of pizza. I'm from Chicago so I love pizza and this place did not disappoint. The sweet cashier indulged me in my 8 million questions and I agreed with him. My favorite was the upside down mamba. Clear winner for me! The pepperoni was also excellent. The Adriana too! I will definitely be back to try some full pies. It's just a little hole in the wall spot with a small table outside but they have a parking lot and it was a pretty fast and easy situation. My wife and I just recently learned about La Sorted's. Really good pizza. The sauce is amazing and the dough is so freaking good I could probably eat it on its own everyday. In the past week, they've been cooking up meals for emergency personnel responding to the recent wildfires and to people who have been affected by them. My wife and I delivered one of these orders to a fire station in West Hills and it just doesn't get any better than that. Delicious food made by a local business that is actually being a part of the community they live in, supporting those in need at a time when it counts the most, and trying to keep that positive energy going when it's so easy to feel like there's no hope. I'm a big fan. Not quite New York style with really inventive flavor combinations. Take out only (with a few seats on the sidewalk out front -- but you will be sitting inside the grill of the car that parked there) and really cool vibes from the team that make the pizza. And the Mortadella sandwich is one of my new favorites in the city. It's worth a try; a solid neighborhood spot with great food. read more

Place is phenomenal. Seating is outdoors and the staff is friendly. They really know how to cook up a crusty and yummy pizza. The pizza has fresh tomato sauce and you can tell because of the slight acidity you get with real tomatoes. It's just got that zest to it. The mortadella sandwich is phenomenal too. There's another place that's super viral for their sandwiches called Al antico but this place blows their sandwich out of the water. I'm super impressed. Wanted to close out the new year with pizza. Saw this place mentioned a few times when they were doing pop-ups, and fortunately, they were still taking orders around 7 on New Year's Eve so we put in an order. Food was ready by the time we got there and well packaged for the return trip home. It's a small space and has a couple tables, but really it's mostly made for takeout. We ordered the Spicy but oh so Sweet Boy pizza, which was their take on the pepperoni with hot honey. The pizzas are a good size for $20, in comparison to some other local "nicer" pizza spots. Overall really good - nice thin, light crust. Not much chew or bite to it, but a good flavor. Good pep cuppage and good bit of spice from the hot honey. It was pretty greasy, but that is what you expect with a lot of pepperoni. Also, kudos for the cool pizza bib pizza box. (See the pic of my cute dog for reference.) The fried zuccs were really outstanding - prolly the best fried zucchini I've ever had. Lightly coated and well seasoned, these were delicious. Their ranch was also that perfect tangy ranch that you can only get at restaurants and never find at grocery stores. We also ordered the mortadella focaccia sandwich, which I was really looking forward too. Unfortunately the bread was pretty burnt and it was so hard I could barely bite through it. The fillings - mortadella, burrata, and pistachio cream - were all really tasty. I have a feeling the sandwich would have been perfect if the bread were not burnt. I love LaSorted's so please take this review as well intentioned. I had been ordering the upside down Mamba just to make sure I got a pizza with sauce. This evening I decided to order the Ina even though the last time I ordered it it was almost bone dry, without any vodka sauce. So I gambled and lost. My Ina arrived and it has almost no sauce. I'm not sure what's going on but going forward I'm just going to order the upside down Mamba to make sure there's some sauce on my pizza. read more

La Sorted's rise and fall from grace for me has been quick and steep on both sides. When I first tried a bite of my husband's mortadella sandwich after expressing smug skepticism at his mention that it was named one of LA's top ten sandwiches in 2023, I ate my words along with several more stolen bites of his sandwich. It was out of this world. Fresh, perfectly baked focaccia with layers and layers of high quality mortadella and a huge dollop of the creamiest burrata I ever did have. I quickly became obsessed, as I so often do, and was ordering it several times a week. I started exhibiting borderline addictive behavior by lying to my husband about what I had had for lunch that day. The fall from grace began when I ordered a tray of mortadella sandwiches for game night (no, you're not allowed to pick your own sandwich, I told my guests). I was humiliated when the sandwiches arrived soaked in grease and disintegrating in their wax paper shells. No problem. We ordered a couple pizzas and game night was salvaged. It must have been an off night, plus maybe my beloveds aren't used to such large orders. Picked up a mortadella sandwich just a few days later for lunch. The burratta was...different. More of a mozzarella consistency. Still tasted fine though. Ordered again a few days later. Again, the new variety of burrata but this time, half as much. Like an addict in denial that her dealer did not have her best intentions in mind - I forged on. Ordered again the very next day - yearning for the high of my beloved mortadella sandwich that I hadn't experienced for several orders now. Today is that day. Even less burrata. Burnt focaccia that's day-old at best. I'm not mad though. The spell is finally broken. It was a winter fling that I will never forget. Despite falling to a 1 star sandwich, I'm throwing in an extra one for the mems for the food wank bank. Farewell La Sorted, it's been real. read more

2 star review coming from a huge fan of LaSorted's. I've ordered LaSorted 35 times in the past few years (yes, I counted) and live nearby. Tonight we placed a DoorDash order at 5:12pm and the estimated delivery time was 5:34-5:49 (I also live less than 0.5 miles away). The order was still being prepared by LaSorted's after 6pm so we called the restaurant at 6:16pm. The woman said "we don't use DoorDash anymore" but then confirmed they made my order already and it was sitting there. They said they had no way to contact the driver (I guess mark the food as ready). She told us to call back in ten minutes. We called back ten minutes and were put on hold. We were on hold for five minutes before we gave up. Finally, at 6:38pm, the cold pizza finally arrived. We live three blocks away from LaSorted's! We are very disappointed with the customer service and quality of food tonight. read more

No trying to start any pizza-wars here, but if you are looking for a similar pie, with way more choices, go for "Hail-Mary pizza" Ordered burrata for my pizza and it came in the side, not sure how they were planning for me to do it.
