Overall great experience if you want something casual. It's not going to be fancy but it is consistent. Pastries are great. Drinks are good. Service is good. Best part is the complimentary charcuterie board! Highly recommend if you want something casual in the area.

Stopped by recently and ordered a croissant, a salame pizza and a coffee. Overall, it was a mixed experience. The croissant fell short of expectations. The texture just wasn't right and it wasn't flaky. It leaned more on the chewy side which was a bit disappointing given that a plain croissant is a classic. The salame pizza needed more sauce and their drip coffee seemed a bit too light for my preference. The service was fast and they offer seating. The ambiance reminded me of a cafe I've been to in Venice. Very cute and cozy! Great vibes!

This place has definitely become one of my favorites! The pistachio cake is a must-try--so good! The only thing that would make it even better is having a bigger wine selection.

Opened three months ago, La Taza D'Oro is a slice of Italy in Union Square. The interior is colorful that feels pretty as one passes by. This morning I came here for lunch. Hot skim cappuccino and a slice of pizza. The coffee was lukewarm like it is in Europe but sone would complain. It was too milky for my liking and I far prefer it at Blue Bottle and Think Coffee. The pizza was not a good choice but I wasn't very hungry. The miniature raspberry tart was flavorful and enjoyable. Ecem the server was kind and Abby was pleasant. I plan to return to try more food. The interior is very pretty and is reminiscent of cafes in Italy.

When you walk in the cases of pastries and the bar area looks sooo good and pretty. Many people were here dinning in. I came in to get a cappuccino to go. The lady who took my order was nice though the way she said hi to me made it seem like she knew me like she had seen me before. It was a bit strange unless I don't recognize her I do not know her and she said to me welcome back. I never had been here before. Maybe I look like someone she knows or recognizes from the restaurant. Anyways, I had to wait a bit too long for a medium cappuccino. I saw a drink sitting on the counter.. I thought it was hot chocolate or something. After like 5-10 min I asked the lady if that was mine she did not know and asked one of the baristas... he said it was a decaf cappuccino and that is what I ordered.. he said to her he called it out three times and no one claimed it. It was weird because I was standing there the whole time and did not hear my drink being called. I don't know just the whole vibe of the place was a bit odd. Though as I said up top the pastries looked very good.

Went for the Aperitivo happy hour, loved it! Great service, ambience, food and drinks. Enjoyed the Cremino pastry and the Negroni Bianco. They had a wonderful c ok complementary charcuterie board. Will go back for sure!

I try a new cookie, pastry or dish every time I visit. I love the atmosphere, it's inviting and warm but calm. I only wish they wouldn't allow people on their computers. It cheapens the ambiance La Tazza had built.

The pasta was al dente perfection and most importantly there were generous sauce portions. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and personable. I dined with a friend and we ordered 3 pastas instead of an appetizer (fantastic choice). We tried the following dishes: *Garganelli Mushroom Ragu and Ricotta Salata. This was by far our favorite dish. It was bursting with flavor, had tons of sauce and cheese and was perfectly cooked. If you enjoy mushroom you MUST order this!! *Tagliatelle Bolognese Bianco (Chicken, Veal, Pork) and Parmigiano. Which was so delicious and has plenty of meat and sauce. The tagliatelle was amazing and tasted to fresh. *Bucatini with Pancetta, Tomato, Chilies and Pecorino. We thought this was good but our least favorite dish of the 3. Honorable mention to the spaghetti that my friend had at her last visit. She said it was fresh and delicious but almost too rich which she mostly owned to it being a white sauce.

We started with the housemade focaccia and Wagyu carpaccio--both were outstanding, with the perfect balance of crispy, flavorful, and fresh elements. My partner and I shared the pasta, hangar steak, and potatoes, which turned out to be the ideal amount for two. We finished with the famous olive oil cake, which we loved for its subtly sweet, moist and tender bite. Served with lightly whipped cream and raisins, the combination was surprisingly delicious. We were also touched by the complimentary anniversary scoop of ice cream. The interior seating is a bit snug, but the decor is beautiful--elegant yet homey. The service was good as well. Overall, we highly recommend L'Artusi for a special night out!

Water and excellent bread arrived immediately and the waiter was helpful describing dishes and giving advice. Salads were fresh and crisp. Caesar was nicely dressed and the mixed salad was a nice combination with well balanced herb vinaigrette. Seafood dishes had large amounts of fresh seafood and the veal picatta had the lemony flavor you expect without excessive acidity. Dessert was tasty and innovative. The ricotta based cheese cake wasn't as smooth as the cream cheese form but the citrus flavor was great. Throughout the meal water and bread were refilled, plates from completed courses removed and next delivered without being overly hovering. All in all a really great meal.

It works especially well for a mixed group since they have plenty of options including dishes without meat and everyone can find something. Even my picky niece and nephew were happy. My favorite entree is the Capellini Puttanesca, with capers, olives, basil, and anchovies. It's super tasty, satisfying, and the perfect portion. I also love that they offer wine by the glass and the service is consistently attentive. The waiters are always moving through the room, checking tables, refilling water, and making sure people have what they need. It's good, reliable, and near Broadway.
