Haven't been to Cici's in forever and I saw they had rebranded and decided to come in for a visit. Still a menu filled with everything you could think of to order. We started with some hot chocolates and shared the eggs Benedict, itsy bitsy pancakes and a crepe. Everything was delicious but we definitely order a bit too much food even for sharing. Staff were friendly as always.
Best & memorable Tiramisu Green Tea Pancakes. We split the dishes as the portions were generous. Smoke salmon Benedict was made perfectly. Definitely coming back here whenever I'm in CA
My usual go to is loco moco or corned beef hash. BUT I've never seen beef panang curry with lava omelet. It did NOT disappoint. Beef was super tender. Panang sauce had that creamy peanut flavor with a slight kick of heat with flavor! Lava omelet was beautifully cooked and fun to eat. It is like a Japanese omurice which I've never had before. My only critique is that I would want Japanese sticky rice. Jasmine rice is too loose and Japanese rice would hold up to all the delicious sauce and lava omelet. So much flavor and nothing was needed like salt, pepper, hot sauce. My server Mint (I loved that she spelled her name for me) was super sweet and patient. It's a THIRTY page menu!!! She said beef panang was her favorite and I don't think she was just saying that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The owner is Thai so I love the little hints of Thai decorations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is very clean with modern lights and decorations. Ordered the breakfast sandwich and the bread to filling ratio was just not it. I wish there was more green in it, lettuce or avocado. The potatoes and the sandwich were missing some hot sauce or something. Overall willing to try again but not thrilled to.
Used to know this place as Cici's Cafe -- I think it's Thai-run, and it's been a solid breakfast spot with some fun Thai fusion twists on the menu, like the Chicken Curry & Lava Omelet (chicken curry over rice topped with a creamy lava omelet), which I haven't tried yet but sounds really interesting. The Dutch baby pancake here is amazing -- thin, golden edges dusted with powdered sugar, piled high with fresh strawberries and served with warm syrup on the side. Great texture, not too eggy, generous portion for sharing. Line was long, but worth the wait. A must-visit if you're in the area.
[[HIGHLIGHT]]Stopped by for brunch on Wednesday. It wasn't too crowded around 11 am when we arrived.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's a small parking lot for the whole plaza, but I can see it getting full during busy times. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant wasn't too crowded when I arrived, maybe 1/3 of the tables were occupied.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu was very long and overwhelming.... let's just say I've never seen a menu with a table of contents before! lol I know they're known for their pancakes, so I definitely wanted to try some, but I also prefer savory dishes at brunch. I ended up ordering a custom frittata ($22.95) with spinach, portabello mushroom, and turkey breast for my savory, and the matcha souffle pancake ($24.95) for my sweet. The frittata came out first. The shape wasn't quite what I was expecting, as it looked more like an egg pancake (it was large and thin) rather than a frittata, but it was good. I got it with a side of fruit and plain bagel, so it was a relatively light breakfast. The matcha souffle pancakes came out after ~25 minutes or so, which isn't bad at all. The menu said to expect a 45 minute wait on weekdays, but no one else was ordering the souffle pancake so it came out much quicker than expected. I have mixed feelings about the souffle pancakes. On one hand, they're super soft and jiggly and almost just melts in your mouth. I really liked them from a texture point of view. I also thought they had the right amount of sweetness. However, even though it comes covered in a green matcha sauce and I'm sure they added some matcha into the pancake itself, I couldn't taste any matcha. If I had known that earlier, I would've ordered one of the other souffle pancakes where the flavor comes through more. Also, they are pretty pricey for what they are... yes the pancakes are massive, but it's the first time I paid more for pancakes than for my entree at brunch. My friend ordered the Mama Bea Omelet ($22.95) and really enjoyed it. It was his first time getting an omelet with salsa on top, and I have a feeling it won't be the last! The scalloped potatoes on the side were delicious as well. He also got the house coffee (called Cup of Joe on the menu) for $3.75 and enjoyed the unlimited refills. Would recommend all brunch and pancake lovers to come and try brunch here!
Wait Time: (None) For the bar. It clears up pretty fast, there's spots outside since it's chilly but wait time for a table inside is about 40 minutes on a Saturday night. Service: Everyone is very helpful. Service was prompt and they have a full staff of your sitting at the bar, you'll get Top Notch Service. Food: Great will visit again.

Here's the revised version with the first two paragraphs unchanged and the update reflected at the end: We had a great experience at Cici's Cafe. I ordered the CC Café omelette and it was very good and super filling. The chicken apple sausage was a standout--really flavorful and delicious. We also shared the matcha soufflé pancakes, and wow. They were rich, fluffy, and absolutely delicious without being overly sweet. We did have to wait for a table, so I'd definitely expect a wait during busier times, especially on the weekend. Overall, great food and a spot I'd happily come back to.
Pancakes, this place is all about their pancakes! And long waits... We got their Panang Curry and Lava Omelet along with their Straberry Souffle Pancake and Banoffee Souffle cup. Gave us a good savory and sweet brunch. We really liked it all. The curry dish is a must. Both souffles were good, so you should leave without trying at least one souffle. We had approx 30min of wait and another 45min of wait for their souffles. There will be a lot of waiting. Was it worth it? Even with all the waiting? Yes. If you have a super chill weekend and wouldn't mind a late breakfast, its worth it. I would recommend this place.
Randomly found this place and it was delicious! Big menu and big portions! LOTS of French toast, pancakes, and waffle flavours. They even have soufflé pancakes but we didn't order any. Line gets long so expect to wait a bit but theirs turnover seems to be quick. On our visit, we tried the Aloha Pancakes, Loco Moco Benny, The Chopper (with pancakes), and a Mexican dish that we can't remember the name... oops! But everything tasted great! Not a lot of parking spaces but there are street parking available too. Friendly staff and they seem to be a well-oiled machine so you'll get a typical diner experience here.
Literally another brunch run with my bestie today. I got the combo steak, eggs and crepes and she got the parang curry plate. Everything was so good. Not a long wait time today and their food always comes out hot and fresh. We ordered an iced cappuccino but it wasn't sweetened. We asked a staff to give us sweetener which they did. Another successful lady C's brunch and will always be our go to in the valley. I crave for their food all the time!!
We've been coming to Cici's Café for years, mainly for breakfast -- and it never disappoints. The food is always amazing, and we've tried a variety of dishes over time. The staff is friendly, the portions are generous, and everything comes out fresh and flavorful. Just a heads-up: weekends get really busy, so expect a long wait. Your best bet is to come super early or closer to brunch to beat the rush. But honestly, it's worth the wait every single time. One of our favorite go-to breakfast spots!

My friends and I came on a Thursday around 1pm and waited for around 15 minutes. It was bustling and lively. Additional parking in the rear. The menu was so extensive! There were so many options that it was hard to make up our minds, but I ended up going with the Lox Benedict with scalloped potatoes. Overall it was a solid benedict and the poached egg was perfectly runny, the way I like it. Scalloped potatoes were pretty good, but some parts were a bit too soggy. I enjoyed the crunchy parts more. The Japanese pancakes are outstanding. The soufflé texture is delicious and then the add various fresh fruits of your choosing and whipped cream if you like. Breakfast menu is outstanding and plentiful. Love this place! To be so packed the service is exceptional. There really isn't any ambiance to speak of but it's a great place to have breakfast. Tables are close but not to be uncomfortable. read more

Grabbed breakfast here and it was overall a good dining experience. We knew we had to order the soufflé pancakes, I suggest ordering it asap as it takes ~30-45 min to prepare. The matcha was great, amazing flavor and texture. The bacon con queso Benedict was so good! Huge portions and I really enjoyed the fresh toppings on them. Parking: there's a small lot in the front or metered parking off the main road. We couldn't tell if we were allowed to park in the bigger lot behind the building. Experience: You can't make reservations, so we arrived around noon on a Saturday and got onto the Yelp waiting list. We were like 28th on the list and it took almost an hour to get seated. We browsed through the record store nearby while we waited. The line had definitely died down when we were leaving around 2:15pm. Food: We went for the Taylor Swift menu which was so clever and fun! We got the Gold Rush waffle, the Vigilante Shrimp benedict, and the Lucky One French toast. The servings were so big and everything was delicious! read more

I couldn't believe we managed to eat at CiCi's on a Sunday with no wait time. We arrived by 9:05 am and we snagged two seats at the bar. I was excited to introduce my boyfriend to soufflé pancakes. They're an experience and a San Fernando Valley staple. The staff are so kind and patient as I'm sure everyone asks if they'll really take 45 minutes to prepare- the answer is yes! Ours came a bit sooner but again, you must be prepared to wait! Other than that, I love the French and Thai decor and it was a great experience for us. Thanks CiCi's! read more
This place lives up to the hype! I LOVED it! The Thai beef Benedict was a must try super yummy and unique. The soufflé pancakes were also bomb and I would come back to try the soufflé. It's a little pricier for a diner style spot but that would've have been my only complaint. The service was fairly quick please not if you want a soufflé anything it says it takes 45 minutes weekdays or over an hour weekends so maybe know that you want that before coming in so you order that right away! read more

ahhh cici's!!! a must visit, esp if you are visiting cons: long wait on the wknds and parking is limited bc of nearby businesses, read signs pros: huge portions - really delicious comfort food visited on a rainy sunday AM for brunch in town for the bestie's bday we've been here multiple times and there is always a wait! i put in my name for a table for 2, mins before 10am, the wait for already quoted for 30-45m the host took down my number and i rcvd a txt allowing to see our place in line via yelp! total wait time was 32 mins once our table was ready, we knew we needed to put in the order for soufflé, as it takes 45m-1 hr up to 1.5 hrs we ordered: Fromage Souffié Pancakes Home Run Chicken Omelet Cee's Omelet w/no tom the omelets were delicious! the soufflé pancakes were just okay, i dont think id order them again. they almost tasted over cooked or just too large in size ($21.95) i am comparing to the other soufflé pancakes from japan, NY and around LA... the service this visit was also a bit lacking i did not get a refill until it was time to pay our waitress never came to check on us which is odd, bc it was busy but not as busy as ive seen it overall, i always enjoy coming to cici's! it feels homey, the food is delicious and filling. parking: private lot, street, i believe there is parking in the back, but never parked there read more

Solid 4 stars. I have been coming here for some time and this place is always packed in the morning. Located on busy street of Ventura Blvrd they have a spacious parking lot and some outdoor seatings. Inside it smells old, they dont play any music and the restrooms are placed in the back of the kitchen and dont look good. The food is above average but overpriced for the quality. The service is great, friendly and fast. My go to is Eggs Benedict. Perfectly cooked but not a Chef's masterpiece for sure. Its above decent. But be ready to pay $30+. Been meaning to try this place since a friend recommended it forever ago and finally decided to come here for brunch yesterday! It ended up being a 35 min wait which wasn't bad at all and luckily found parking next door. Parking here is SUUUUPER tight. They said there's parking at the back but we didn't go there to check it out. We waited in our car till it was time and they text you. The young man took our order and service was quick! My mom ordered the spy club sandwich which she enjoyed with sweet potato fries and even had leftover. Portions are huge! My bf got some egg, corned beef, and a peanut butter banana French toast which he enjoyed and finished. I went for the Siam Benedict which had such an incredible flavor!! Our waiter told us it was a popular menu item after I got my food and that he loved it which made me feel better about trying something different. He also told us that the owner is Thai which explains a lot!! The Siam Benedict has Thai beef panaang curry on top of a French baguette with pesto spread and I got it with a side of potatoes. Super delicious!! Glad I chose it. Huge portion so I was only able to eat about a quarter of it. The iced hazelnut latte was delicious as well! Good variety of foods to choose from for brunch. I enjoyed a loco moco, shared French toast with sis and hubby had an amazing veggie omelette. Kids (9 and 5 y/o) were happy with the Wacky pancakes definitely shareable. Service was excellent, and our waitress was very friendly. The restaurant was quaint and provided a causal ambiance. If there was an award for best breakfast/brunch in the Los Angeles area and vicinity, Cici's Cafe would take the trophy, hands down. There is no place that has such a extensive, diverse, and mouth watering selection of food items. I have tried several of them (including my favorites, the Benedicts) and let me tell you....they are all good. This time I had the Fraise et Crème Crepes (fresh strawberries, strawberry creme, chocolate chips) and asked for the whipped crème on the side. The crepes were warm, soft, had texture and flavor. The strawberry crème was perfectly prepared and had a buttery milky texture and optimum sweet taste .......that got thanks from my taste buds, with every bite. The tiramisu pancakes were a hit, just like every time. Expect a wait for your table. But it will be worth it. That is a small price to pay for a breakfast Cafe that is in a whole different class......just by itself. read more

I've been coming here for years and it's been my one of my favorite breakfast places. I came here on Tuesday morning and it was nice not seeing it packed for once. On the weekend be prepared to wait for almost an hour. I had an eggs Benedict with hash browns and my boyfriend had a steak sandwich. The flavor of the steak was a bit bland but we asked for some salsa. The staff were very polite and attentive. read more
So most people ding this place because it's always busy and it takes a while to get your food, but tbh, who cares?! The food was SOOOOO GOOD! I had the chicken curry breakfast burrito and holy moly! This was the most tender chicken I have ever had in my entire life. It fell apart in my mouth without even chewing! And it was a huge portion! I prioritized the burrito over the potatoes. My uncle was able to order a dish and sub out regular chorizo for veggie chorizo which was really nice. We were both so satisfied with our food and so stuffed after! I had the Lychee Lemonade and The Rock Burger (medium rare) with Brussel Sprouts. Lychee lemonade was good. Strong lychee flavor. The Rock was not good. The meat patty was absolutely flavorless. Zero salt was added. Also, is this medium rare? Chefs let me know. Mushrooms: pretty tasteless. Grilled onions: no sweetness or anything of discernible flavor. I drowned the burger in ketchup to make it edible. Brussel sprout "fries" were just unseasoned Brussel sprouts. Parmesan did nothing. I'm sure they have better items but the Rock was a real miss. read more
Best pancakes, a must try! We heard so many rave reviews about Cici's and decided to brave the large crowds to try for ourselves. I am so glad I did, as I had one of the best pancakes in my life! Located in Tarzana, this restaurant serves mostly breakfast and closes at 3pm. Parking is available both in the front and the back of the restaurant. The line for tables tends to be long. However, once you put your name down, you will get a good estimate of your wait time. The menu is extensive with a lot of popular breakfast and lunch items. Their breakfast offerings include pancakes, waffles, French toast, various omelets, and other traditional breakfast. For lunch, they have various sandwiches and soup. I ordered the regular pancakes with banana cream, and they were the best I have ever had! The pancakes were fluffy, and the banana cream was at just the right amount of sweetness. My friend had the eggs Benedict, but she felt it was average. As for the service, our waiters were extremely helpful and attentive despite the large crowd. The prices were very reasonable, with mostly $15-$18 for full breakfast. I can't wait to return to try the rest of the breakfast offerings. Highly recommend! read more

If you love pancakes and breakfast foods then you need to try Cici's Cafe. They have a great menu and the pancake options! I can't even begin to describe how delicious they are! The unlimited coffee is amazing too. Quick tip: They do get packed on the weekends so if you're able to go on a weekday you probably won't have to wait a long time. read more

I've lived in the SFV for a couple years and have dined at Cici's a couple times. I came in today to get a good breakfast in before a busy day. Be prepared to wait as the wait can vary from 15 minutes to an hour. They had a sign by the entrance letting customers know to give them some grace as they are understaffed. However, despite almost always having a wait, there is no seating area for customers who are waiting on a table, and you have to stay nearby as they don't have an online reservation system, so you just have to hang around outside until they call your name. An online reservation system that texts you when your table is ready would definitely alleviate the process of checking in. Considering that Cici's is a pretty popular spot, I'd expect them to work this out by now, but this has definitely been the biggest issue since I started coming here. Despite this, when I came in this morning the kind staff were quick to clean off a table for us to sit down. The sitting area is pretty no frills, but is clean and has a nice vibe. They have a pretty expansive menu with great options for breakfast, I usually gravitate towards the sweeter options but today I got the lox benedict which was delicious! Our waiter was kind and attentive, but he kind of disappeared after taking our order so we seemed to be waited on by a couple people after that. Overall, this is a good breakfast spot, but it could be great with just a couple kinks to work out. read more

Came here on a misty Friday morning around 10 am. We were lucky to get a spot right in front of the door but otherwise, the parking lot that served multiple businesses was crowded. For our party of 4, it was about a 15 minute wait and there were a few small parties ahead of us. There is a record store next door but unfortunately it was closed due to the holidays. Good thing the wait wasn't very long for us. We decided to opt for the open table outside even though it was a little chilly. The gigantic menu was accessible via QR code and we made sure to look quickly for the drinks and food we wanted (maybe would even recommend looking beforehand because they're very understaffed and busy). The server came out to take our drink order and we were able to order everything all at once. I ordered the chicken curry eggs Benedict with scalloped potatoes and the rest of the group ordered the loco moco eggs Benedict, lox eggs Benedict, and the Bangkok knight omelet. One of us also ordered a hot Mexican mocha. The drink and food came out pretty quickly. But once you get the food, don't expect to be checked on often. I think because we were sitting outside there was even less foot traffic by the employees. We don't mind this though. My brother in law who got the mocha didn't enjoy it, he said it tasted a bit watered down, so maybe getting coffee here shouldn't be the only reason to visit (especially for the wait!). However, the food was phenomenal and so flavorful and plentiful. The prices are a little high for breakfast food so we were pleasantly surprised by the portions. You're able to take some home if you don't want to stuff yourself but finishing it can be manageable also! The scalloped potatoes weren't too special but the other flavors combined with breakfast flavors was unique! My favorite was the loco moco and the Thai omelet. We did have to wait a small amount of time to get the check and some boxes, probably longer than getting the food. But wasn't a huge biggie since we weren't in a rush. I don't normally get breakfast food too often because it can become repetitive, however this place serves fusion items I've never seen anywhere else and has so many options to choose from! Because of the price and wait , I won't be returning in the near future but highly recommend for avid brunchers or people wanting to try something new! read more

Such a bummer that we went during lunch break, meaning I cant order the souffle as it takes 45 mins to make, but I had waffles instead which is on par with the soufflés. I've also had the strawberry latte which for me is very good! The wait around 12nn on a weekday is short compared to weekends. read more

I hate to admit it, but this place is really just about the hype. The food was mediocre because it lacked taste and the dishes can be easily made at home. The only item I do recommend coming here for was the soufflé, which I believe is what this brunch spot is known for. I have had better soufflés elsewhere, however, I appreciate the different flavors available to order here. Keep in mind that only 1 soufflé can be ordered for the table and it can take anywhere between 30 to 1 hour to prepare, depending on how busy the restaurant is. Ambiance is like how most cafes are and appears clean. The restaurant is located on a busy street and plaza with tight parking. Service was not too bad, but not as friendly either. Overall, this wouldn't be my go-to brunch spot, but is worth a try at least once... for the soufflé. read more

First time here and unfortunately a one and done situation for several readons. First of all, I had to walk in to order after calling 5 times then being put on perma hold. Second, for $ 24, only one tiny cream cheese container for my sesame bagel and lox sandwich. Most other places give 2 or one larger container. Lastly , for $ 24, I expect my bagel to be toasted, and mine barely was. I would have brought it back but didnt want to wait any longer, because initially I was told a 30 minute wait on all to go orders. I understand it was a busy Sunday morning , but offer online ordering or answer the phone please ! read more

I love CiCi's Cafe!!! Yes there is always a wait but it is definitely always worth it. I usually order something in their sweeter side menu but I decide to try the Moco Loco (since I had tried it in Hawaii before) and it DID NOT disappoint!! Everything is always made to perfection. If you are ordering soufflé pancakes keep in mind it does take a bit longer to cook, I recommend to put that order in first. This restaurant is a MUST TRY!! read more

Always busy for a good reason. They do their best to be quick and efficient with every step of service from the waitlist to paying the check. So many options from their extensive menu to choose from. One of my favorites is the huevos rancheros. Comes with three eggs, sauce and a really crunchy tortilla bottom. Soooo good ! The potatoes need a little salt and pepper but good as well. Also got the dippy dippy doo I think it's called. Almost like a monte cristo but not fried on the outside. Also yummy if you're looking for a twist on French toast. read more

Average wait time for breakfast however it took a while for us to get acknowledged by anyone to put a drink or food order in. An "I'll be right with you" is always appreciated. Service was neither personable nor bad, but basically non-existent. Food took a little longer than average to come out but not the end of the world. For the price I think it's underwhelming. Our total came out to $50 for two entrees and no drinks. The quality nor the service was there for the price I paid, IMO. The most disappointing part was ordering the soufflé pancakes only for them not to have the soufflé texture I was expecting. Eggs Benedict wasn't anything too mind blowing either. Glad I came to check it out, but all in all not for us. read more

A few outdoor seating but not ideal since people waiting to get in stand next to you and watch you eat. No dogs inside allowed I believe.

Hi! Yes we are open for dine indoors! However, please note that our tables is very limited and only comes at a first come, first serve basis. In the meantime, we also have a lot of our outdoor tables outside in the front.
Do they take reservations?
When I went it was self seating, placed our order at the counter then set our number on the table in order for them to bring our food. They were friendly, quick, and efficient.
How long is the wait usually? let's say If I arrive around 9 am.
I went on a Sunday morning just a week ago around this time and there was no wait. It seems like the earlier you get there the better chance of not having a wait. You can also call ahead to ask them as well.
