The cakes are always great! I always stop by to pick up. Service today was really bad today. The guy closed the back section so there was only 4 chairs and 2 tables. We wanted to sit down at one and eat our cakes but he said the lady in front of me was sitting there. Then he helped two more ladies and they left. The second table, he refused to clean WTF WTF WTF -- glad I just like the cakes enough to get it to go. Came here on a weekend after lunch and it wasn't too busy. We got different Mille crepe cakes: lavender matcha (delicious), strawberry (delicious), pandan (underwhelming), and Dubai chocolate (also underwhelming). For $12 a slice, I expected something smooth and delicate, but it came off more rubbery and dense than anything. The flavor was decent, but nothing special--and definitely not worth the price. Came here for a snack after walking around the MET all morning. Since the last time I was here 7 years ago, the store is now to-go only. Luckily, central park is a close enough walk to be able to enjoy beautiful scenery while enjoying a midday pick-me-up. We ordered the original mille-crepe cake, the tiramisu, and the strawberry. The original is always a great choice; beautifully delicate, creamy but light, and not too sweet (the highest compliment that my asian parents can give to a dessert). The strawberry had a deliciously tart puree in the center of the stacks of crepes, which added the perfect amount of strawberry flavor. The tiramisu was also delicious, though there was slightly too much cocoa powder on top for my liking. Overall, one slice of a crepe cake was the perfect serving size because of the light texture. We also got the hot english breakfast tea and the iced rose tea latte. Both were brewed to have a strong tea flavor and were perfect to balance out the sweetness of the cake. If you have never been to Lady M and are in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for both their original crepe cake and their other more creative ones! read more

I just visited Lady M on 78th st. When I purchased with my credit card, I had to sign on the machine with my finger. I asked the shop Clark if I could use the hand sanitalizer. He says, " we don't have it." " it's ok I clean up every time after someone use. " " but I am still not comfortable ... can I use the sanitalizer which you guys use? " he said, " oh we don't have it, it's ok" I don't believe the store which they sells foods don't have hand sanitalizer in the shop. After I left , I kept my eyes on that guy if he cleans up the credit card machine. Off course he didn't. The Matcha crepe cake seems to be a fan favorite so I tried it. The matcha flavor is prevalent so if you dont like the bitter flavor you won't like it. The other crepe cake with cream filling was solid but not magnificent. The cheesecake one looked good. I wasn't impressed with the cakes here and for the price I expected to be. I had high hopes, but now I know never to order and work with others about this place. When I called to find out the hold-up, they were rude and had long hold times. I assume they send their call center out because if I was, the business owner and my staff spoke like this, I would fire them: completely terrible service, product, and pricing. If you haven't tried Lady M yet, what are you doing? I came here literally 4 minutes prior to closing (I'm so sorry to be *that* customer!) and I ran on my way there. I had a late end to my work day, but I needed to buy a birthday cake for my mom. The staff was super chill and didn't seem to mind at all. I ordered a whole earl gray cake and a slice of red bean cake (seasonal for lunar new years). The Earl Gray cake is delicious. Each crepe layer is very thin and sandwiched between earl gray creme. The earl gray cake had the perfect amount of floral taste and wasn't too overwhelming. The customized words were an additional $5 and I was so happy with the way it came out. Props to the staff because the lettering is beautiful! As for the red bean, honestly I'm not too big on red bean but it was such an interesting flavor that I couldn't pass on it. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! Each bite had bits of red bean and it wasn't too grainy as how red bean flavors typically are. Grabbed a slice of their matcha mille crepe cake to take home -- and it was a hit! Definitely on the pricey side ($9.50 a slice), but I'd actually say that's kinda typical for cake. They have lots of mille crepe cake in various flavors, as well as some other options like cheesecake or checkerboard cake, and you can pick up a slice or buy an entire cake. This is my favorite cake shop, but oof the price hurts my wallet. $9.50 for a slice of cake is a lot, especially for a slice the size they give you. I got two slices, one earl grey and one matcha, and it was $19 total. Talk about a shock! I told myself it was worth it and that I deserved the special treat and drowned my sorrows in the cake. The quality has stayed the same as all the times I've visited in the past, but the price has steadily risen over the years. I know prices go up because of inflation and probably also because they can charge that much and people will still go, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
