We were gaslighted when we brought his mistake to his attention From the beginning of our service I had researched their website to see their offerings only to find out their on-line menu did not match their current in house menu and they didn't bother to update their website. When asked why that was they dismissed it as not their responsibility not their fault. I orders the linguine with clams which was served with about a cup of melted butter, it was more like a soup rather than a pasta dish, it was disgusting. Completely ruined my birthday dinner. Although the price was adjusted, it should of been completely comped because they failed in all but one category Their service, professionalism, food quality, and problem solving sucked big time. Excellent service. Great ambiance. Overpriced menu items and average pasta dishes. We had a cheese tortellini which I felt was similar to the refrigerated section pasta at grocer. Covered in melted butter no flavor. Oily and overcooked. We ordered veggie lasagna. Very pretty layered pasta with delicious taste and a rich tomato sauce. Would recommend over the tortellini. We also had the pesto gnocchi, again, a lot of butter or oil and the pesto lacked flavor. The green color was there, the appearance was attractive but the flavor was bland. Our final dish was the orzo. It was a great dish and possibly the most flavorful of the 4 dishes. Bread and wine for 4 adults with the dishes was close to $400. Would not return as there are too many Italian restaurants in Las Vegas to have an expensive bland experience. read more

Price was at the new Vegas average of about 35$ per basic meals. while its a nice view outside to see the water show and the staff are nice and attentive, the food quality was average (and disappointing that for a waygu burger they did it as a smash burger so you can't choose the doneness of the patty, and it had very minimal flavor overall), they charged 11 dollars for tap water, and they inflated the tip suggestions by double the amount they should have been (we didnt realize this till after we left). They probably gave us an old menu, but the menu and check prices should match... the items on the check were around $3 higher for some items. Not cool... anyways, beautiful setting here. Bright, good fountain view when there aren't instructions. Food was just okay. I got a cappuccino, and that was good, though I wished I tasted more of the espresso as it was on the milkier end. We shared the following - Caviar Bites ($45 on the menu, $48 on the check) - tiny, luxurious. The blini was really soft, so we were careful not to let any of the goodness fall off. One of the best bites here. Burrata Salad (they had it as caprese on the check- $29 on the menu, $32 on the check) - yummmmm I love burrata! This was such a good combo. One whole burrata here. I wanted another one! Lobster Benedict ($38 on the menu, $41 on the check) - was just ok at best. Def didn't taste like that price point, wasn't much special and it didn't really standout other than the price. Egg poached well, lobster a lil chewy. Chicken parm ($39 on both)- the consistently priced item! A couple thin fried chicken pieces with cheese and a side of pasta. Salty, def our least favorite, but it was recommended to us so we tried. Whoops. Regret trying this cause it wasn't great. Cheese alone was good, but that's cause I love cheese. We also shared a Sicilian dessert, which was a nice combo of pistachio and raspberry. Came in on a Saturday night for my 4 year anniversary with my girlfriend, overall the ambiance and decorations of the interior were formal, but the dress code seemed to be somewhat relaxed, in a semi-formal type of way (a few people seemed under dressed). Service was very friendly and welcoming. Jennifer A. did a great job of serving and making sure we had everything we needed. The only somewhat complaint would be the food. Although it looked amazing in photos it was kind of underwhelming. The lobster risotto tasted a little bit too tomato-ey, a decent amount of tomato pureé, I personally feel not enough lobster (in my opinion not worth $64). I feel the Bucatini was a lot more worth it, with $32 for a decent sized plate for 2, and nice tasting pasta. The Lago salad was alright as well, (if I'm being completely honest, it kind of tastes like a salad pack from Trader Joe's with some salami added in). Overall not a bad experience, a 3.5 out of 5. But I would definitely look for a place with better tasting dishes for the price. read more

I was looking forward to a wonderful, authentic Italian dinner that was recommended by a friend. This is my first review that left me completely bewildered and disappointed..I ordered the $14.00 garlic bread that was burned and smelled unappetizing. Upon requesting a new order, the server responded "some people like it burnt". This was very unexpected and honestly unacceptable in food service. When the next bread arrived it was perfect. My friend ordered pasta bolognese and I ordered lasagna. Her bolognese was very flavorful and cooked well. My lasagna was absolutely the worst I have ever had. Dried out, no appreciable sauce and I was unable to cut it with my fork due to the dried out texture. It must have been left over from the night before. I asked the server if this was how they prepared their lasagna and he replied "just try it and if you don't like let me know" What?????? However in the spirit of open mindness, I gambled and tried again to cut it. Dried out, unable to cut with a fork, the texture of dried toenail, When the server came back, I again stated it was too dried out and was inedible. It's beyond comprehension that this would be served and the customer is asked to eat it x 2. At this point I asked for the manager, It has no relevance what they comp or didn't because the food quality was sub par and the fact that the server encouraged me to try eat it speaks volumes about this establishment. The point of having a $48.00 lasagna entree is for it to memorable and delicious, This restaurant is not able to deliver quality food nor service to customers at this price point. Overpriced, underwhelming, and ended with food poisoning. We went to Lago last night for my husband's birthday dinner. I chose this restaurant because the view in the Yelp photos looked stunning. For appetizers, we ordered the beef carpaccio and garlic bread. For mains, we had pizza, salmon, and garlic pasta. Overall, the food was decent, but considering the price, it was just okay. Honestly, the prices felt unreasonably high, like we were paying for the view more than the food. You expect to get what you pay for, but here, we got far less. If you're considering Lago just for the view, I'd recommend finding a better restaurant with great food and enjoying the fountain show separately. That would be a much better experience. We sat outside, and it was 90°F, way too hot to enjoy dinner comfortably. Plus, when the fountain show started, water splashed onto our table, which was unpleasant. Also worth noting the restaurant didn't feel kid-friendly. Most places usually offer something to keep kids engaged, but there was nothing like that here. They did have high chairs, but no one offered one to us. If you're visiting with kids, I'd recommend only going with older kids. Our server was fine, but other staff were not great at all. It felt like they didn't want to be there, and that energy came across in the way they treated guests. One server walked out the door right in front of me without holding it, even though I was just a step behind. The door swung shut right in my face, it didn't hit me, but it was close and felt incredibly rude and thoughtless. Maybe it happened because we already paid and were leaving? It would be great if they find a better way to cool down the outdoor seating area during the hot Vegas summer. Now the worst part: both my husband and I got sick after the meal. I had diarrhea and vomiting all night from midnight until morning -- it was miserable, like a nightmare. For food that wasn't even that good, ending up sick made this a one-star experience for us. We won't be returning Looking at other reviews, it seems like the manager just says sorry and moves on. A lot of the guests made looks at each other but none of the staff addressed it. Our server was nice but the service was slow. We did not have a reservation but the staff were very friendly and sat us right away. We ordered the seafood platter that came with oysters, shrimp, lobster and crab. The seafood was very fresh and tasty! We ended up getting two orders of focaccia since it was so light and flavorful. Our waiter over heard that we were celebrating a birthday and she brought out a tasty mini cheese cake with a "happy birthday" chocolate coin.
