This review is solely based on the FOOD. Because everyone can see that the location and views are spectacular. But the cuisine, not so much! I ordered the Caesar salad, which came soggy and was mediocre at best. I also ordered the vegetarian lasagna, and it too was mediocre. You could tell the pasta was cooked al dente (which is how I like it) and the scarce amount of sauce tasted pretty fresh, but none of it stood out to me. My wife was in the mood for lobster all day, so she went with a plain spaghetti dish with a half lobster. She literally pulled out only a few small pieces of lobster leaving her yearning for more. She left almost all of the spaghetti because she said it was overbearing with tons of large pieces of garlic. Her dish alone was regrettably $100 just by itself. To say our meals were disappointing would be an understatement. Classic example of a restaurant that has great views with underwhelming food. In addition, the menu did not have a good assortment of dishes to choose from. Very good American take on Italian cuisine, but it's far from authentic. The pappardelle alla bolognese is a pappardelle with meat sauce. The pasta is homemade and had a nice al dente bite. The meat sauce was delicious but without mirepoix and cream is by definition not a bolognese. If you're expecting authentic northern Italian cuisine, this isn't it, but it hits the spot anyway! read more

I went to Lago for Valentine's Day with a friend and had a great experience. We sat indoors with a gorgeous view of the Bellagio fountains, which made the atmosphere feel extra special. The fountains go off every 30 minutes, and we saw them go off 3 times during our meal. The service was excellent. Our server was attentive and well-paced. She always made sure our water was full! We shared a few dishes, and the food definitely delivered. They're known for their pasta, and it was fantastic! We ordered the special of the day, and it had a very generous amount of truffle. The view at this Belagio spot is worth a visit alone -- you're right overlooking the fountains. The vibe is bright and reminiscent of the Amalfi Coast. Service was great. I just enjoyed an amazing lunch at Lago. We started with the focaccia. Delicious. Then we split the lobster risotto and filet mignon. Both were perfectly cooked and amazing. For dessert, we were torn between the panna cotta and budino. Because it was my birthday, they brought out a little panna cotta with a candle. So, I ordered the budino. They both were delicious, but I would pick the panna cotta next time. The budino was a little too rich for me. The panna cotta was so refreshing and the custard was nice and thick. A perfect flavor combination. I can't wait to go back. The only downside was that the fountains don't go during weekdays until 3pm. Came here for brunch on a Saturday and it was amazing. The service from the time we walked into the restaurant all the time we left was all amazing. The hostess and our server were both very sweet, professional, and gave great customer service. We sat inside, but had a view of the fountains which is always an added bonus. I had the Hamachi and it was delicious, 10 out of 10. The flavors worked so well together and were topped with pistachio. Would definitely order again. Hubby had traditional breakfast with hashbrowns, sausage, ham, bacon, and eggs. The hashbrowns were delicious. We shared the deliciously fluffy brunch toast as a little sweet treat and it was amazing as well. Definitely a large portion size and would highly recommend sharing. We just got to Vegas today, so we didn't have a reservation, but the hostess directed us to comfortable seats at the bar. Our server, Zachary, was friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed conversing with him. The Chicken Parmesan was delicious! The portion was generous and the spaghetti that accompanied it was fine. The asparagus that my sister ordered was large-stalked and woody, she was only able to eat about half of it. Not recommended. When my classmates/friends & I spent the last day in Vegas, we decided to dine in a fine restaurant of Lago. This has been my 3rd visit at this restaurant. We do have reservation & just waited for 5 minutes for our table. We got the table with the view. We ordered individual meals. We had the regular coffee but I requested for oat milk. The server Karlyn was nice describing to me with my order Eggplant Milanese, my friends ordered Ricotta Pancake with easy eggs on the side, Eggs Benedict with side toast, and American Breakfast. I enjoyed my Eggplant Milanese that was crunchy on the outside and tender/juicy on the inside. I can taste the provolone. The eggplant was a meat substitute, with a "meaty" texture that was highly satisfying. The other friend said the pancake was thick and she preferred the thin one. The rest enjoyed their delicious food. The staff kept on refilling our coffee. I must have drank 4 cups of coffee. The staff and server shown excellent service. The dining room was clean and bright with beautiful decors. We don't mind returning on our next visit of Vegas. read more

This restaurant is beautiful- the overall vibe of the restaurant, the table settings, THE VIEW! The vibe is almost like summer in Italy! I've been to Vegas 3 times now and this was the first time I've been able to watch the fountains. Even tho I'm sure it's even better at night, this view was still so awesome to see! The food was delicious! Originally we had all planned to get different dishes so we could try more, but 3 of us couldn't pass up the Seafood Linguine. We were also able to add clams to it so that made it even better! It was a $10 add on, but definitely worth it. So much great flavors! I was a little bummed that they didn't have any type of bread for a starter (you could pay for it) but most places I feel offer this as a "set" starter/appetizer. I really enjoyed my dining experience at Lago. We made a reservation but still had to wait for about 20 minutes - but it was a very busy evening for them. I started with the Lago cocktail, and it was pretty strong but also tasty. For my entree I ordered the lasagna, and this had to be one of the best lasagnas I've ever had. They top ricotta cheese on the lasagna noodles, which sit on marinara sauce with basil leaves sprinkled around the dish. A server came around with a Parmesan grater, which was a great addition to an already great dish. We ordered broccolini for the table, and I really enjoyed this as well. read more

After trying to find a good Italian spot in Vegas, I think we found the simple but perfect one for us. Unbelievable views from this restaurant! Food - 4.5/5 Bruschetta - 5/5 - All of us loved it; the bread was perfectly crunch, and the tomatoes and balsamic vinegar were perfectly blended. Was delicious! Filet Mignon - 3.5/5 - I know this wasn't a steakhouse, but decided to get it anyway, since I was feeling it... I was disappointed though, as it was honestly just OK. Lago Rigatoni - 4.5/5 - So good and creamy, perfectly cooked pasta, and just overall a really good taste. It felt like high quality pasta with a great flavour. Mashed Potatoes - 5/5 - The mashed potatoes were soooo good. I think I could have done without the onions on top, but the mashed potatoes itself were so buttery and yummy. Ambiance - 10/5 - We were seated near the window and the view on a sunny day was just beautiful. Probably the best view in Vegas from a restaurant, honestly. The Bellagio has a heavy hitter and it's called, Lago. This restaurant is located within the Bellagio and faces its majestic dancing fountains. If you visit Lago once, make sure you are seated within their gorgeous outdoor terrace. You'll be able to view the dancing fountains, which put on a water show every 15 minutes, without any obstructions. I started with a classic Margarita and it was amazing. It even tasted better, as I enjoyed it, overlooking Bellagio's gorgeous fountains. Our appetizer was the Octopus (Taggiasca Olives, San Marzano Tomato, Gigante Beans). This starter was exquisite. All of the textures of the ingredients made it enjoyable and is recommended. We shared our entree and it was the Margherita Pizza (Pecorino, Mozzarella, San Marzano Tomato). Each and every slice of this pizza was excellent. The crust was perfectly crunchy and this item was large enough to share. I capped off the meal with a Cappuccino and it was incredible. I really enjoyed the sugar on the stick and loved how the coffee got sweeter as the sugar melted off of the stick after every stir. Definitely one of the restaurant on the strip that can get the best view of the Bellagio fountain. There's indoor and outdoor dining options. Many of the indoor tables are right in front of the big windows where we could see the fountain show. I got the mafaldine and I found that flavor a little too much for me. The branzino was good. We had the shrimp cocktail, crab legs , pizza and truffle fries. I totally recommend these . The drinks were very tasty . The awesome service by Jesus and Chef Gus is what makes this place a must while in Vegas . There are tables you can reserve with a view of the Bellagio fountains . On a recent trip to Las Vegas, I had my birthday dinner at Lago located in the Bellagio Hotel. We were lucky to have a table that faced the fountain outside so we could view that as we enjoyed dinner, which was a treat. The atmosphere is beautiful - great artwork, set up nicely and the service was top tier. We started off with the Caesar Salad which was super tasty. Greens were fresh and the amount of dressing was perfect. For entrees, we ordered the Salmon and the Filet Mignon. This restaurant is ala carte so any sides are extra. For our sides we chose Asparagus and Polenta with mushrooms. My Filet was so tender they didn't even serve it with a traditional steak knife - I used my butter knife. This was one of the best Filets I've ever tasted. The Polenta had a great consistency and was also good. My dining partner had the Salmon and Asparagus and loved every bite. Given it was my birthday, they presented a small dessert which was a nice touch. We both gave Lago 5 stars and plan to visit again - it was a great dining experience. read more

We ate here for a late lunch and had a great time! It's a casino restaurant with views of the casino floor, but the restaurant itself feels modern and clean. The restaurant has its own bathrooms which are also very clean. Our server was great; attentive but not overbearing. The only thing off ambience-wise is that there was a very loud, visibly drunk woman seated at the bar. We ordered the caviar with gnocchi fritti and burrata ($185) as an appetizer. This was the highlight as it was fun to eat, but I felt like it was missing some of the stronger flavors caviar is usually served with. I'd have liked it to be accompanied by horseradish or something pickled to add some brightness. My partner ordered the mafaldine ($35) which he loved. It had a bit of a kick to it and the veggies on top had a great texture. I had the lobster risotto ($63) which was cooked perfectly al dente. However, it had chopped tomatoes throughout which tasted underripe. It threw off the taste of the whole dish. It was still pretty good, but for the price, I was expecting more. Overall, I think this restaurant is really nice, especially for brunch or lunch, but I don't think it's a good fit for a fancy date vibe, especially considering the other options in the hotel. read more

Lago dinner reservations with guaranteed fountain snow views should be made at least 1 day in advance during the non busy season and at least 1-2 weeks during the peak busy seasons. We came early March and got a decent view of the show but we weren't sitting outside with direct access. In my opinion, the dinner menu isn't as exciting as their lunch menu. Overall I still liked my food but it's really expensive given that the food isn't spectacular or anything. My favorite item was the sashimi which was drenched in a basil sauce I think. The rib eye has a lot of fat and was a bit chewy. Because this is a popular spot, turnaround needs to be quick and you can feel it in the service. waiters seem to be hovering over you, taking the plate as soon as you put the fork down. Lago is a nice experience if you get the great view but IMO it's a little over hyped given the food is just slightly above average. read more

Had reservations for dinner on the fourth of July. The food was fantastic. Lasagna tasted homemade, with layers of thin and light pasta which didn't leave you feeling heavy. The branzino was also light, bone free, moist and flakey. The eggplant entree was on another level. Unlike the lasagna and fish, it was a hearty meal which lasted into the next day. Crispy on the outside but soft on the inside with the most unique flavor profile and texture I've ever had when it comes to eggplant. I'm curious to know how they make it. For dessert we had a almond flavored cake which paired well with hot jasmine tea. The service was impeccable. The wait staff was friendly, worked in sync well, paid attention to their guests, were personal yet professional. While we were not seated by the window, we were still able to see the fountains from the Bellagio through Lago's large windows. I'll be thinking about this meal for a while, and as locals, I'm glad to know we can visit again. Lago's wait was only 5 minutes, which sounded great to me. We sat in a nice spot near a window, and the views of the Bellagio waters and of Vegas make this worth a visit. We ordered the beef carpaccio and shrimp truffle polenta(?). I love love loved both and would get them again and again. We also got the spaghetti and meatballs which tasted like ... spaghetti and meatballs. Wouldn't get again, not as filling as anticipated.
