We ordered khao soo, basil fried rice with crispy duck, pad Thai, tom yum soup and drunken noodles w/steak. Of all the dishes there, I think the table favorites was the basil rice with crispy duck and tom yum soup! Smaller portion size though, so it's not that shareable family style. Friendly service and clean place overall
My friend ordered to-go here on a Friday during the day. I was sad they did not have a lunch menu. She ordered the mun pu fried rice and the crispy duck panang for my friend and I. They both tasted delicious! However, they forgot our side of white rice. Did not realize till she delivered it to me at the airbnb already, so that was a bummer on the service. Big chunks of crispy duck. I liked it a lot!
Lamaii is one of my favorite Thai places in town but this was my first time at their original Spring Mountain location. Decor was beautiful and food was just as good as their Henderson location. Favorites include the Ga Prow, Gang Pu, and Yum Nuer, but everything I've had here has been great, and they include a lot of unique/traditional Thai items that aren't typically seen in other Thai restaurants.
We visited on Friday, with a party of four adults and two small children, and it was a very nice experience. We had a reservation and were seated right away in a large booth. The waitress stopped by and took orders. They have a full bar and their margaritas are nice and strong. We started with a bunch of apps; Green Beans, Fun Fries, Som Tum, Salmon Noir, Moo Tod Nam Pla, Steak Tartare and Gyoza. All were well prepared and fresh. From there we went with Garlic Herb Crispy Prawn, Lobster yum Takrai, Sua Rong Hai, Panang Crispy Duck and a side of rice. Everything was excellent, the lobster was very spicy, as I asked for 10/10. For dessert we had Honey Toast, which was huge. The service was outstanding. The waitress was friendly, prompt and kept up with getting rid of dishes and providing refills. Overall, a great place for authentic Thai fare.
Overall experience 10/10! We came on 4th of a July for lunch and it was pretty empty. We were seated immediately. The food was amazing, honestly everything we got was good that we would get it again. My favorites that I would recommend is the crispy duck curry 9/10. The pepper prawn and papaya salad TOGETHER 10/10!
Great food. The crispy duck fried rice has been my favorite here. They have plenty of other dishes that would complete your meal. A soup, plenty of noodles and protein dishes like crying tiger. Great service and the place is well ventilated w AC.
Lamaii Thai in Las Vegas OMG! This is an amazing experience and a MUST go! Food: my goodness the food is so filled with taste, seasoned, rich, and cooked with love. The duck fried rice, crispy prawns in curry sauce, crispy spring rolls, crab fried rice, crispy chicken wings, and the drinks were simply GREAT! The flavors infusion on the taste buds is explosive. Service: the service is extremely fast with attention to details and the needs of the customers. So much respect in the greeting and each engagement making you feel a sense of belonging. Ambiance: the decor is beautiful done and outlined with traditional Asian decoration. The seating is great for date night as well as large groups. Upon entrance is a huge wine wall into open seating and the bar in the back. The place is nicely decorated with love. Overall score 5.0/5.0 please ensure to visit you will not be disappointed in this choice.
Panang crispy duck was delicious! Crispy and flavorful and boneless! Garlic greens on point. Went here on Father's Day. Was a very short wait and staff were quick. Plenty of parking in the lot.
The food was well-prepared and the service was great. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the overall experience enjoyable. While the food wasn't quite suited to my personal palate, I can definitely appreciate the quality and presentation. I think others who enjoy this type of cuisine would really like it. Overall, a good experience!
I was so looking forward to this late meal after landing late in Vegas. I heard pretty good things about this place especially about their Crispy Duck Panang. We came straight to Lamaii right after checking into our timeshare. We arrived around 1130pm on a Thursday night and the place was empty, it was just us and another couple. Let's by saying the restaurant is nice and modern with a full bar. The service was fantastic and very friendly. If you're looking for authentic Thai food this isn't the place. Lamaii is more modernized Thai style. For our late dinner we ordered the following main dishes. ( I asked for spicy) Crispy Duck Panang: This was why we came here for and I felt the dish was lacking some heat and the curry was on the sweeter side. The duck was a little disappointing as well. The duck skin was fantastic and crispy but the duck was very dry. For a $28 dish it needed more texture like Thai eggplant or bamboo. 3/5 Stars. Garlic Herb Crispy Prawns: This was fantastic . This was our favorite dish out of the three. The prawns were fresh and fried perfectly crispy. The shells were like chips. 5/5 Stars. Gra Pow Moo Krob: This was alright. Again not much heat even i ask for spicy more on the sweeter side. The moo krob (crispy pork belly)was ok. There were pieces that was very chewy 3/5 Stars. I was a little disappointing. We had to order a side of rice for our duck panang. A curry dish should automatically comes with a side of rice or any main entree. Overall, Lamaii is pretty pricey for the portion you get. We got three dishes a side order of steamed rice and one drink and the bill was over $100. Left Lamaii a little disappointed.
Lamaii has become our go-to for Thai food. Ever since we discovered it, we've brought just about all of our favorite people here. The space itself is inviting with stylish décor and a warm, modern atmosphere that makes it perfect for both casual dinners and hosting friends. Service is consistently excellent--attentive, welcoming, and polished every time we visit. Our Usual Order: 1) Garlic Herb Crispy Prawns - Hands down some of the best in the city. The prawns arrive perfectly crisp with a generous coating of golden garlic and herbs. Each bite has that satisfying crunch before giving way to tender shrimp. 2) Mango Crispy Catfish - A beautiful contrast of textures. The crispy catfish is topped with bright slices of mango and finished with a chili-lime dressing that ties everything together. The dish is vibrant, colorful, and bursting with flavors. 3) Crab Fried Rice - The rice comes generously packed with large pieces of crab and works perfectly alongside the other dishes. It's hearty enough to share. 4) Dessert here is as much about presentation as it is about enjoyment. The Mango Sticky Rice is beautifully plated, and the Egg Yolk Ice Cream is a unique treat that's rich and creamy without being overly sweet--the perfect way to end the meal. The wine list is surprisingly impressive for a Thai restaurant. We usually pair our meal with Orin Swift Blank Stare Sauvignon Blanc, which complements the dishes wonderfully. There's also a full bar, and the Lamaii Old Fashioned is worth trying--smooth, aromatic, and beautifully balanced. If you're looking for a spot with great atmosphere, attentive service, and dishes that are consistently well-executed, Lamaii is always a solid choice.
We travel from out of state, & ALWAYS make time for this restaurant. It's phenomenal. The food, particularly the duck & crab fried rice are what we come here for. The servers are very friendly & attentive, the inside is well kept, clean & it's got a fancy aesthetic. See you guys next year ! We really love coming here. Last year I had some glass noodles that were spicy w beef & wow. I highly recommend you guys try this place you will not be disappointed & they have a huge selection of not just food but drinks !! 100/100
We came to Lamai in the evening and were seated right away, which was a great start. Our waitress was very kind and attentive and took the time to walk us through the specialty dishes, which we appreciated. We ordered the pad sen lobster, and it was really good. The lobster was perfectly crispy, and the whole dish had great flavor. The crispy prawns are always a go to for us and did not disappoint. We also had the crispy duck panang, and the curry was rich and very flavorful. I was especially happy they had mango sticky rice because it is the perfect way to end a great meal. The restaurant itself is nice and clean and has a comfortable feel. This is one of our favorite spots to bring family and friends when they are visiting and want good Thai food.

Stopped by here for dinner and enjoyed every moment. A nice Thai restaurant and the best thing, they do not have an extensive menu selection. Nice 2 pages of dishes to select from. The service was great and the servers were very nice. Food: Basil Eggplant Kao Soi Pad See Aew Sticky Rice with Mango All the dishes were flavorful and delicious. The eggplant was cooked perfectly and not overcooked at all. The Kao Soi was really good. The noodles went so well with the Curry. Overall, it is a great spot for bigger groups and delcious food. read more
Came across Lamaii on a very intriguing instagram post and knew I had to try it out! This place is awesome and really exceeded my expectations! As soon as you walk in, it's such a chic, earthy vibe. Perfect for a date night or a dinner with friends. Although there were only 2 servers and full tables, service was very friendly and fast For drinks I got the Doka Lamaii and it was delicious and strong. Both the food and drinks are so beautiful! We decided on the crispy duck panang curry based on the reviews and I'm so glad because it blew my mind. I don't usually like duck but you have to try this. We also ordered the crispy garlic prawns and this was probably the best thing I ate in a while. I wanted to lick the plate lol. This isn't a typical hole in the wall Thai spot. The decor is fancy and so are the price points. That being said the food is delicious and worth the price. We didn't have reservations for a party of 6 but were able to get a table immediately. We came for the Penang Crispy Duck and loved all the other dishes we ordered. The curry is spectacular! The duck pieces are also generous. read more
We came here to get some food and drinks while we were in a Yelp waitlist for 888 BBQ. I kind of wish we stayed here to try a bunch of other stuff because the panang crispy duck was delicious! Highly recommend! I didn't know what to expect when I walked in, but the ambiance was beautiful. The wooden tables were adorned with gold silverware and black and gold cups. It was just a classy casual place. We got greeted by a lovely hostess, who also happened to be our waitress, and our bartender... and the buswoman. She got it all down. We were commending her on how she can handle everything all at once. We didn't feel like we were ignored at all. She came to our table the perfect amount of times. I would definitely go here again. I couldn't get in for my number one pick so Lamaii was my very close second. I took my parents for their birthday dinner on a Saturday. We made reservations beforehand which I highly recommend since the seating is very tight. The ambiance is nice, dim lightly and nice decor but the space is very small so somewhat cramped. Food wise we had a few different dishes. My favorite were the crispy duck panang curry and pad sen lobster. I also really liked the garlic prawn but wish they were a bit more crispy. Overall I enjoyed the food & drinks and would definitely come back again. A great spot for a date night or special occasion. read more

What an experience! This place is definitely a hidden gem in Chinatown. If you've never been here before you're more than likely going to be charmed by the ambiance. I love Thai food and this place really knows how to fuse authenticity with authentic with artistic cuisine. The customer service was very attentive as well. Check this place out! read more

Updated review for my last visit on 02/11/23. This was my favorite Thai restaurant until last weekend. Regrettably to report Lamaii has gone down hill just like how Chada was before they closed. Service was terrible and food was mediocre. We got there around 5:50 pm on a Saturday night . It was quite empty in the restaurant still. Maybe only 3 tables were occupied. The server seated us at the table next to the front door. I asked if we can be moved closer to inside since it was a cold night. He said oh those tables were all reserved. ?? I had a reservation as well? He said ok, you can sit at that table but you have to be done by 7:30pm. It was fine for us for giving that dining time frame. It's just not what I expected when I clearly had the advanced reservation too but treated like a walk in. Not to mention he was too busy to even come by to check on us for the food at all the entire time till we were paying. I complained to him about one of the dishes and he said oh next time I will give you more soup. SMH. As for food, I was excited to try the Khao Soi ever since Philip T. posted about it. It's one of my favorite Thai noodle soups. So when we got the noodles, the soup didn't even fill 1/3 of the bowl. It's like just dipping sauce at the bottom for the noodles. That's clearly not how it was looking on his post nor how it should be for a noodle soup! The flavors were good but just very disappointed since I'm a big soup person. Garlic crispy prawn is one of my other favorite there as well. Flavor was good, but they weren't crispy like before. The worst part was we were so thirsty entire night after dinner. Not sure what seasoning caused it but I assumed it was too much msg. Overall, a very disappointing visit, and it definitely didn't live up the reputation like before. I will not be returning in the near future. I will probably wait for a long while till they raise their standard again. read more

This place is hidden in a corner and i barely noticed it. Walking in you're greeted by the workers and we were quickly seated. The inside is beautifully decorated with gold and florals at the booths. The decorations is definitely instagram worthy. We order the crispy duck panang which was so delicious but sadly it did not come with rice. Which is odd because the dish is $26 and you had to order the rice on the side. The panang curry was slightly spicy and very delicious, pairing it with the crispy duck made it so much better because you get the spicy sweet from the curry then the crunch from the duck. I can see why it's a fan favorite but I'm a little disappointed that the rice didn't come with the dish. I also got the garlic bean for an appetizer and it was pretty good, not as good as the panag but definitely worth getting if you want some greens. Then we also ordered the pad sen lobster which wasn't as flavorful as the curry but it was still pretty good. I would come back to try the desserts and the pad thai next. read more
Wow the food was amazing at this place! Very fast service as well and was able to make a reservation. At first the restaurant was slow but got busy as the day progressed. I got Gang Pu (crab curry with vermicelli noodles) it was so delicious! I got medium because I can't do spicy. My friend is a vegetarian and they were able to do a veggie pad Thai. The ambiance was great and the decoration was beautiful. The place is a little small but it's tucked in a small little corner. All in all a great Thai place. Price was worth the serving size and taste. Would want more variety in their menu. read more

We had a wonderful Sunday brunch at Lamaii! First time at this location! Great service, staff are very friendly, welcoming and attentive! I enjoyed the atmosphere. Laid back and chic. Let me start off with their cocktails...I mean you can't go wrong with anything here, every single one of their cocktails are deliciously crafted. I usually go with their old-fashioned. But this time I went with Rum Maii! So good and they never skimp on the liquor. We ordered the crispy shrimp, crispy beef, and drunken noodles with chicken. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. The drunken noodles were a little bit too saucy for me, but I still enjoyed it...they were out of crispy duck this time so I'm just gonna have to come back! :) read more
What a cozy and upscale vibe for your Thai food cravings. The dishes are well portioned so you can try a bunch of different dishes without getting overly full. The flavors are well executed as it's not too oily and thus having a very clean fresh flavor. Each dish I tried was very well seasoned without being overly salty. Please look at my photos to gauge their beautiful presentations for each dish. I recommend this spot for a casual date night. I will have to say the service was not the best since I had to ask for things multiple times. read more
I'm always in the market for a new yummy restaurant. My girlfriend and I found this gem on a trusty yelp search. We were celebrating my birthday so of course a nice glass of Merlot is a great place to start. They have a nice selection as well as a nicely stacked bar for cocktails. Decor is beautiful, everything is very clean and in Chinatown this is a HUGE plus. We started off with Loui Suan which is ground pork wrapped in rice paper which resembles a sushi roll. Honestly the presentation did not impress but after one bite I was sold on the flavor. We also shared an order of oysters which were drizzled with a spicy chili lime sauce and fried shallots. OMG !! Sooo delish !!! Our main course consisted of Panang curry with crispy duck and Pad San Lobster which were both absolutely amazing. Our server highly recommended the lobster dish and it did not disappoint. For dessert we shared the coconut egg yolk ice cream. Do yourself a favor and order everything we did !!! Soooo yummy. We have heard all the raving reviews on Tiktok about Lamii and we wanted to give it a try. It's a modern and trendy Thai restaurant with all the Thai dishes plus more. Every dish was flavorful and savory from the curry dishes to the duck with drunken noodle. The restaurant has a lot of cocktails to choose from. The ambiance was amazing and service was great. Drinks were strong and oh so good. We came on a Saturday night and made reservations. The service was a little slow in the beginning, but they were friendly and the food came out fast. I thought this place was bigger judging from the pics in Yelp, but it was very cute and intimate. read more
We had weekday lunch at Lamaii and arrived shortly after it opened without reservations. The restaurant is beautiful and well-decorated with fancy booths and chandeliers, as if it were a bar. It was dead empty when we arrived, but the waiter told us that the restaurant was soon going to be packed with 50+ ppl comprised of large parties so I guess we lucked out getting a table early. It is a small, one page menu, followed by many many pages of wine which makes total sense since the owner was the former sommelier at Lotus of Siam. The food was simply excellent. We ordered the Moo Nam, Crab Fried Rice, Tom Yum, and Garlic Crispy Prawns. The Tom Yum soup was so appetizing, with a tangy tamarind base, plenty of shrimp, tomato and mushrooms. You could see all of the kefir leaves and fresh lemongrass pieces throughout the soup, explaining why it was so flavorful and aromatic. The Moo Nam was well grilled pork jowl with an addictive, lime spicy sauce. The Crab Fried Rice lived up to my high expectations. It had lump crab meat (not a ton, but plenty) and crab fat!! It didn't taste like you were slurping from a crab shell, but it had this amazing savoriness. The Garlic Crispy Prawns were huge, well-fried and garlicky. We enjoyed everything we ordered and look forward to a repeat visit. read more
We was craving for thai food on thanksgiving day and Lamaii as the few restaurants that was open. Came by around 1115am and restaurant was fully open yet and ask to wait till 1130am. Service was slow especially when there was only 2 tables including ours. We ordered 1. the wing zapp- 4/5 came out first, has a zesty powderly flavor. The wings as crispy and big 2. Tom yum goong- 3/5 the flavor of the tum yum was ok. 3. Pad Thai seafood- 5/5 really good pad thai. Nice flavor, tangy and sweet. Would definitely order this pad thai again. 4. Crispy duck pad thai- 3/5 the duck was huge and chewy, the skin wasn't crispy enough 5. Garlic Herb Crispy Prawns- 2/5 we came here to try this dish and wanted to compare with lotus of siam. This dish wasn't good at all, the sauce was way too salty. This dish doesn't come close to lotus of siam prawns. 6. Panang Crispy Prawns- 2/5 the curry was good but the crispy prawn wasn't. Its basically the same prawns from the garlic herb crispy prawn but different sauce. The crispy prawns would get soggy in the curry sauce. Overall, Lamai is ok, the crispy prawns was really disappointing. The service was really slow especially where there was only 2 tables. Took like 30 minutes from the time we got our first appetizer for our entrees to come out. Unfortunately there are so many other delicious food places in las vegas to have me return. read more

10-2-2022 There was a wait to be seated and for our order to be taken but once you get past that part the best is yet to come. Their menu only has one page of food but many pages of wine and alcoholic beverages. The name of the dishes was pretty foreign to me vs ordering in Hawaii. The descriptions will help you decipher what the dish may be. Everything we ordered was delicious. All 3 of us liked the Panang crispy duck. Doc enjoyed the spicy wings too. We left with one small container of the steak drunken noodles. We were thoroughly stuffed. Many customers dressed up to dine there. read more

Started off with the Peach Out (basically a Sangria) which was really good and I ended up ordering a second drink during dinner. The Chicken Satay salad as appetizer was delicious. Leaves weren't soggy, chicken was cooked well, and the peanut sauce was good. The Pad See Ew was average; nothing special. The drunken noodle had a lot more flavor in comparison. They could have been a bit better about checking in, but given how busy it was can understand. They forgot to bring my second drink for a while but made it quickly once I reminded them. Would definitely come back!! read more
Omg wth happened to this place? I think it has different owners. The food was not edible, and there was only one person working as the hostess/server/bartender/bus boy. I ordered the crispy duck drunken noodles. The noodles were hard and clumped together and broken in little pieces. I let the waitress know and she insisted it was fresh/new noodles. I asked them to remake it and they sent out a mushy wet mess(see video). Not edible and was so salty and the same hard broken noodles from 5 min. ago. If they are out of good fresh noodles they should just stop selling the dish for the day. Hubs got the crab fried rice, which tasted so bland next to the salty noodles dish. So sad since this place used to be so good. read more
Lacking the hyped up reputation of the Lotus of Siam, but a contender as top Thai eatery in the city. The decor has seen better days. The menu covers are worn and have holes in them. Shabby chic? If it bothers you, check out the new Henderson location. The food, outstanding. Like the Lotus, it's about taking "better" ingredients and incorporating them into classic Thai dishes. For example, using rib steak instead of the generic thin slices of "beef" from cheaper cuts. It is hard to find fault with the "Panang Crispy Duck". Meaty, boneless, well rendered fat and truly crisp skin sitting in a very flavorful multi dimensional curry bursting with galangal, ginger, lemongrass and kefir lime and coriander root notes. Somewhat spicy yet vibrant and almost refreshing. An explosion of flavors. The "Drunken Noodles Steak" equally good. Perfectly cooked wide noodles, loads of herbaceous basil, good wok hei, all topped with tender sliced rib eye. The juices of the beef adding flavor to the dish. From a great spicy crispy pork belly stir fried with basil (the roast pork still retains the crisp crackling skin akin to lechon in the finished dish), to delicious wok fried garlic green beans and a vibrant take on steak tartare mixed with chili and lime zest, dishes impress. Prices in line with the quality with mains averaging $25. Well chosen wine list with low markup for those looking to complete the Lotus experience. Friendly service. Westernized, yes but the backbone is clearly authentic Thai home cooking. Excellent. read more

The food here is amazing! Each dish was so flavorsome and beautiful. The menu is extensive and there's plenty to choose from. The portions are a bit small, but only because I'm comparing it to the $10 pad Thai's that feed a family. There free parking in the lot, bathrooms inside, tables perfect for dates and larger parties, and a full bar. It's not too far from the strip and worth a visit. read more
Came here for a weekday dinner and was happy to see that there was no wait! Heard a lot of good things about this place so we had to try it for our trip to vegas! Everything we got here was amazing and flavorful! One of my favorite thai dishes is pad kee mao, and the way they do it here was 10/10. The noodles were sauced to perfection and we were super happy that you can add crispy duck in as your protein. The duck was still super crispy even though it was drenched with sauce as well and they did not skimp on the protein. The only thing is that it does get a little bit too salty the more you ate it as it was super saucy. I wish they gave a little bit more noodle to soak up the sauce, which was the only downside. The Crispy prawns and Wing Zaap wings were also delicious! Both were fried to perfection and had a really nice/lite crunch without it being covered in batter. Definitely a place I would come back to when we're in Vegas again. Also just be careful in the parking lot, came to the same plaza twice, and both times we noticed cars being broken into. read more

We came to Lamaii early on a weekend night without reservations. Seating was starting to get limited but host was gracious enough to seat us. I had a party of 4, 2 of us, including myself came specifically for the Duck Basil Fried Rice. They didn't have any Duck available this night. Plot twist. I ordered the Mun Pu Fried Rice which was fried rice fried in crab fat with lump crab in it. It was good! Nice and buttery. My partner ordered the Pad Thai Prawns. These were different, but good! They're partially fried with the shell on so it threw us off at first. The flavor was there though! Next trip to Vegas, I need that Duck in my life. read more
