The drinks I had here were delicious - piña coladas and license to chill margaritas tasted even better than they looked, and they were strong. Food was hit or miss, and overpriced. However, the overall convenience of the bar at the hotel as well as the relatively quick service made it worth it to stop by for drinks. I would suggest food elsewhere, though.

We came for a late dinner and the place was relatively empty, no host/hostess at the entrance and the bartender just watches as my family and 2 other families wait at the hostess stand. My husband finally goes over and asks if we should seat ourselves and the hostess is finally called. Our waitress was nice and got our orders in promptly. They were having karaoke which was fun. The space is open and comfortable. Food is fairly priced for a resort, well portioned, and was tasty. They have a kids menu which is great. Overall a fine experience though service was lacking.

We visited Margaritaville on a Monday night in December. The restaurant makes you feel like you're in a warm climate with all of its Jimmy Buffet style decor. We sat at the bar and were waited in pretty quickly. We ordered two drinks and it took a little while to get them. They were good but pretty expensive for what was half ice. I did order a second drink, a martini, and that was better but at $22 it should have had a side car. We ordered the lobster beach pizza and fish & chips. The lobster beach pizza was very good although it was a small piece French bread with toppings. The fish and chips was great, perfectly battered, tasting and priced. We were able to charge everything to the room so that was a nice perk. They are still new so I'd say overall, this was a good experience and I am hoping that things just get better with time for them.

The reason I am writing is because I actually got food poisoning which isn't surprising if they treat the food in any way similar to how they treat their customers. Its a shame that such a historically good place can go down to this point, but honestly they would have to completely revamp this location, clearly the managers here are incompetent.

It was minutes until I could get up & go get my pizza. The check out girl had sold my pizza to someone else because I hadn't responded when she called out that my pizza was ready. This was wrong but not my complaint about pizza Regina. I went back this week, ordered a pizza & asked the cashier to hold onto it & not sell it because I was going to run down to return something at Dick's. She said, snottily, "we don't do that". I said "it was done to me & it happens, please just hold it til I get back". She argued with me that "it never happens". Dif girl. I said to her, "do you think I could make it up out of the blue? It happened". She said, "no it didn't". I said, "what happened to the customer is always right? All you have to say to me is 'don't worry I'll make sure it won't happen today'". She was snide, condescending & just plain mean. I came back for the pizza & she obviously told the other 3 workers because she turned back to the guy already grabbing my pizza, like he knew me, & rolled her eyes at him. All 3 guys laughed at me, to my face. What is wrong with people? My never eating there again will have no impact on their business, but I wish it would. Where is common decency.

Between the Smurf co-owner running the place into the ground and the local health investigator basically having a permanent parking spot out front, it's a wonder they're still in business. Apparently, Sarah Smith's review about the kitchen staff SPITTING in the food wasn't a warning--it was a teaser. Naturally, after I placed my order, I had the audacity to expect food within twenty minutes. Silly me. I checked in only to find out they'd gifted my meal to someone else. But don't worry, they promised it would be ready in a "few minutes." 10 minutes later I checked and I get a condescending lecture on the virtues of patience from the little "Smurf" himself. Imagine having the ego to lose a customer's order, waste thirty minutes of their life, and then deliver a sermon instead of an apology. This is the 2nd time he was VERY RUDE to me, I just chalked it up to having a bad day the first time. If you bother to read the reviews, it's a recurring theme: unless you're Brazilian, you're basically an inconvenience to this guy's day. Between the blatant arrogance and the Health Department's mounting file on the HAIR and SPIT found in the food (read Health Investigator's review) , I'd say this place is a must-visit--if you're looking to get insulted and infected at the same time. Bon appétit.

And soon we were gazing on a massive, nicely dressed bowl of crisp lettuce with feta cheese crumbles and moist chunks of chicken. And we celebrated with a cool Chardonnay and refreshing Coors Light. If that were so, one of the cheerleading food "presenters": Guy Fieri, Adam Richman, the Sterns et. al. would feature Jack's because the pizza is the bar pizza of your dreams. I've been visiting Hyannis for an extended stay, and I wish I'd known about Jack's earlier on. The pizza itself has a light, crispy, slightly burnt crust, which some will complain about, but others will pay dearly for at a pseudo "authentic" woodfired pizza ristorante (those places are never called pizzarias). The toppings are all fresh, (I had a ten inch "Jack's Special") although the cheese is on the heavy side, it's a good thing because it's in proportion to the sauce, and kudos to Jack's for not jacking up the sauce with sugar. Jack's Lounge-the lounge part-is a bar, and there are people drinking beer and other things, which adds to the vibe. Complain all you want about the slower "service," because there is only one waitperson, but be thankful for the great pizza and the unpretentious, unchanged environment. Wherever you live, how sad is it that this restaurant that you went to for twenty years or that bar that was there forever didn't survive the pandemic? There is a reason that Jack's did, and it's not because the owners necessarily have deep pockets. Go, before someone buys the place out and puts an Arby's there.
