I've ordered from this place a couple of times from GrubHub I've ordered the lemon shrimp before and what they don't tell you is that it's honey mayonnaise lemon shrimp the stuff is slathered in mayonnaise and it's disgusting. It never had mayonnaise on it before but this last time after paying almost 30 bucks for a dish that is cold an inedible shrimp that still have the tails on and mayonnaise for somebody that's allergic to mayonnaise well it hasn't worked out that well it's absolutely repulsive there is nothing about this place that makes it worth eating at or makes it even slightly redeeming it it's vile disgusting nowhere is mayonnaise Noted to be part of the dish. You couldn't pay me to eat here again with somebody else's mouth. read more

I live close by, only been here once. Service was very friendly and welcoming, I appreciated that. We ordered sweet and sour soup, beef soft noodle and chicken fried rice. Their price is high and portion kind of small. I don't blame them though, this is the trend everywhere, higher prices and smaller portions. Food was ok. Soup and noodles were salty. Since it was my first time there, I wonder if this is their usual cooking or just an off day, but it was really salty. Their fried rice was great though. A generous portion of chicken and overall taste was excellent. I'll return to buy the rice and try other items on the menu. Likely will never get their soup and soft noodles again though. read more

I usually don't take chances y with Chinese but I'm going keto and I needed some some proteins mixed with some fresh veggies. I went for the garlic chicken with no rice. Nice chunks of chicken, celery onion and carrot. If you are super strict keto you may not want all the carrots but the portion was great, freshness too! It was warm even after it was delivered. So , we saw this place in Yelp and had great reviews and the pictures of food look really good on Yelp, So we decided to give it a try, when we got there is was only 4 tables is like a panda style restaurant food was looking just ok nothing like the pictures on Yelp at all, we were the only people there, she was rushing us to order and so we did, ( don't know why) then when we all order she was still in a rush to ring our food, couldn't think the right amount of forks, drinks etc. her energy was just awful, pay for everything then to ask for a extra plate or soy sauce was another annoying thing for her, we asked for 1 plate to go and it was 50 cents for, I understand how everything has change after COVID but still the attitude should be better. So this review is based on the extended wait that I have endured today. I arrived approx 530pm, about 15 min after placing my order on DoorDash. I had selected this place based on reviews and time expected to be ready which was 17 mins. Well, it's 707pm and I have yet to get my food. We have been patiently waiting here while others have come and gone. Each time we've checked on status it's "not ready yet". $85 to sit and wait over an hour and half for this is just BS. If I could've just canceled the order I would've. I'll have to escalate with DoorDash as well with this unacceptable service. read more

This place is over rated. I ordered a combo plate and ended up throwing it away. I was able to eat some of the chow mien but couldn't finish it. Ordered through door dash. It took them almost an hour to prepare just a few items. The door dash driver warned us that 3 of or 5 items sat for 30 plus waiting on 2 other items. Sure enough the Wantons and egg rolls were awful and cold. The other items weren't much better. Our driver said all the drivers were stuck waiting 30 - 45 minutes or more and she won't accept future orders from them. read more

Food is good that's why I gave 2 stars. I waited almost 40mins for chow mein and egg rolls. Their priority is the delivery app orders and not the walk in clientele. There was at least 2 drivers that left because food wasn't even ready and still had 10 min wait. Three other people I came in with had cold food by the time my order was ready. A very long, overdue review. The best Chinese spot in OC. Period. I believe that the owners and I have a special connection through the thousands of UberEats orders I've had delivered with them. It's something that anyone reading this should be jealous of. The food is something of a mysticism really. From what I've experienced, the entrees seem so simple--not too much ingredients or some obnoxious attempt at being trying to be trendy--yet they're cooked so well. It's cooking that should be recorded and placed in the Museum of Chinese Food and Delicacies. It's knowledge that if lost may lead to a global state of cataclysm. In fact, if society were to experience Lantern Garden together, I'm confident world peace would occur. I'm honestly conflicted between what my favorite entree is: the Kung Pao Chicken or the House Chow Mein. If Kung Pao Chicken and House Chow Mein were hanging off a cliff together and I could only choose one, I wouldn't choose either and jump off the cliff with them. The Kung Pao Chicken is so moist, tasteful, and savory; every bite is an experience of chicken, peanut, carrot, and spice. But, the House Chow Mein is cooked perfectly not too dry and they give so much meat. I'm sorry for all of those who haven't experienced them. I love you Mr. / Mrs. Lantern Garden. You make me believe that morbid obesity would be worth it, if I could have you seven days a week, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. read more

I've been a returning customer here for quite some time now and I have to say that the food here is the most delicious Chinese food that I've had out of all the other Chinese restaurants that I've went to in Anaheim.
