Cute little Asian fusion eatery that recently opened in Lower Nob. I don't quite recall what used to be here, but found myself quite taken with the decor. It feels like the inside of an Anthropologie showroom! Interior aside, this eatery offers two menus: the first, classic brunch fare with your usual eggs benedict, avocado toast, omelettes, etc & the second, Millennialized twists on classic Thai food. My boyfriend & I swing by in the morning around 10:30/11 and were happily able to get seated within 15 minutes. Despite the daunting crowd of loiterers outside of the restaurant, the throughput is quite high- they're very efficient about clearing off tables and preparing new settings for the next set of guests. Once seated, we were unfortunately a little disappointed to see that the Thai menu was not available. Living in SF, I'm not a huuugeee fan of brunch, as I personally feel like it's the same types of dishes everywhere (sorry, y'all). Nonetheless, I ended up succumbing to my basic instincts and got an avocado toast with a poached egg, for $11 (so pricey, sigh). My boyfriend ended up getting a pulled pork sandwich. The food came quite quickly and all the while, we were taken care of by the attentive service. All the servers were wonderfully nice and polite, which I really appreciated. The avocado toast itself was all right (I mean, the name itself is self-explanatory), though I do think the toast was amazing- very fluffy and slightly crispy around the edges for a nice crunch. The real highlight, however, was my boyfriend's pulled pork (no, this is not a euphemism). But honestly, the pork in that sandwich was very rich and fatty- if you have any guys in your group, they will definitely appreciate. All in all, not a bad brunch experience, especially given that we only had to wait 15 minutes on a weekend! Lapisara Eatery is by far the best food that I have had in San Francisco during my 5 day stay this year. From the warm sunny decor and the very attentive staff. The beautiful presentation of the food and flavors that boast of bourbon flavored syrup to the homemade strawberry preserves at each table. This place is trying to be a cool hip brunch place, but it's just a poor immitation. Decor fits well, with pastel colors, wood and fabric furniture, and succulents at every table. But their actual food doesn't match the decor. We ordered chicken and waffles and eggs Benedict. Chicken and waffles looked very Instagramable, but when we tried it the chicken was rare and bloody. Their frying batter was also very thick and unappetizing. Benedects were incredibly salty and their "breakfast potatoes" we're not roaster and instead we're boiled and arrived cold. My family and I stayed in SF for 4 days and we had breakfast at Lapisara 3 days in a row. We loved it!! The waffle set is perfect to share among my 2 kids. The chicken Apple sausage is really good. I do suggest to get there before 9:30 otherwise you will be waiting in line for a table. The ambience inside is nice, good decor, and it feels clean and well ventilated. There is an outdoor seating area too. Tables are also clean and well separated from others. You can tell they work hard to provide a very good service. Very cute brunch spot. We got her on Sunday afternoon at 12 and the place had a 20 minute wait, which is a lot less than standard SF wait time for brunch. The hostess were very friendly and gave us a table shortly after. They have some Thai fusion options for brunch like, Penang Curry beef tacos and Tom Yum burrito. We were a group of 6 so we ordered the penang curry tacos, tom yum burrito, pancakes and eggs. Everything was delicious. I also got a matcha latte which was outstanding. I highly recommend this place. Just one small caveat, that their dinner menu a lot more elaborate than brunch. On second thoughts, I wish I went here for dinner and not brunch. Wow love this restaurant. I visited for breakfast this establishment has Quality food and very generous portions which is also accompanied by very attentive service. New favorite place in the Bay Area. Even the owner came to our table to make sure we were having a great time and our food was exceptional. Two girlfriends and I showed up at Lapisara one Sunday morning for what we were hoping would be a delicious brunch - and we were not let down! We put our names on the waiting list and stood outside, looking over the menu, for around 20-30 minutes. The hostess was friendly and led us to our table. We ordered coffees (no brunch cocktails, though they all looked tempting, so I'll have to go back soon) and then put in our food orders. I went with the smoked salmon toast: sourdough bread, capers, lemon, tomatoes, avocado, cilantro, lettuce, poached egg, pico de gallo, and cream cheese - CAN YOU SAY YUM?! Because I did. Would give this place 3.5 stars. Not worth the 45 minute wait outside on a chilly And windy Saturday morning at 9am! I can't with these San Francisco hyped up eateries! We had the Lapisara burger and the chicken and waffle. Honestly it was meh. The fried chicken had great texture/crust but kinda lacked in flavor. I don't like to doctor up my meals with sauces and condiments bc I like to taste the true flavor but the chicken definitely needed some hot sauce or something. The burger was ok too - a little sloppy to eat because it had a lot going on. The fries were basic. Nothing special. Matcha green tea latte and hazelnut latte with almond milk were good. Everything was presented beautifully though and the interior decor is so cute and brunchy so A+ for that! Staff was fast and attentive too. Loved this place when I visited SF a couple of weeks ago! Upon arrival, we put our name down for a party of four and was told it'd take about 20-25 min. It definitely took a bit longer and began to get more crowded as time went by! The owner walked around and greeted us and was so sweet and welcoming - she definitely made our experience very comfortable and you can tell how much she cares by how she treated us and other guests. When we sat our table, we ordered our food which we really enjoyed! I got the fried chicken eggs benedict, and let me tell you - I was stuffed for the rest of the day! Based on the reviews we had pretty high expectations. Hubs' burger was a 5! My Korean Beef Tacos were good...a 3 maybe. Some of the beef was too chewy/tough. Thai ice tea (my first) was really nice-super sweet so a treat I would not allow myself very often. Fresh decor. Their breakfast options sounded a little traditional so tried the tacos. We passed by the place on our way to another brunch place down the street but quickly turned around when we saw the line at the other place. I thought Lapisara looked cute and I saw they had chicken and waffles in the menu, which is my daughter's favorite. We were seated right away. The owner and staff were friendly and the service was good even as busy as it was. My water and coffee were never empty!! My daughter loved her chicken and waffles. I ordered fried chicken Benedict and it was out of this world delicious. Our friend got the French toast and ate it up. We just loved the place bc it was classy and cutely decorated, and best of all no wait. We walked in and they were playing Linkin Park and the atmosphere didn't give off the Linkin Park vibe but it was really nice to have good music playing in a upscale restaurant. I ordered chicken and waffles and it was delicious. The breading on the chicken was almost like a maple bacon flavor with a hint of spice and cinnamon. The syrup was yummy and warm and the waffles were huge and fluffy amazingness. At the end of our meal the owner came up and introduced herself and gave us her business card. Stumbled upon this place on our way to another spot for brunch, and I'm so glad we tried it! It is brand new, just opened 4 days ago. I absolutely loved my experience. The ambience and decor was beautiful and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious as well and I loved the presentations for them. Ate a late breakfast here after flying in to SF for vacation. Waited about 15 minutes for the two of us. Loves the decor - huge windows, very airy and bright and light inside. But the food - O M G. Hubby and I could not decide in what we wanted so we each got a different plate, literally ate half and then traded. I got the veggie omelette and it was literally the best I have ever eaten. You know how sometimes the veggies inside the omelette don't have much flavor? These were bursting with flavor. I don't even like tomatoes...I was digging in there trying to eat more than my half of tomatoes before passing it on to my husband. The potatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Hubby got the French toast. It was coated in some crunchy goodness (almonds?) with delicious syrup on the side. Such a little gem! We had a fantastic brunch at Lapisara today. Not too much of a wait at 10:00 am but didn't take long for the line to be around the corner by the time we left. Fantastic service and awesome breakfast options. Saw neighboring table order the burgers which looked amazing! Next time.... Only critical feedback is that they need to improve their decaf coffee - it tastes like Folgers instant coffee. I know decaf drinkers are a minority, but we need good brew too!! read more

We were quoted 30 minute wait, and it's conveniently just close enough to union square so that we could walk down and kill some time, and we were next on the list when we got back!
