    Huge spice selection

I was really impressed with Las Montañas, it was much cleaner, organized, and well stocked than expected. The employees were all really friendly, some with limited English skills but it gave me a chance to practice my Spanish which was great! This store has a restaurant inside, and juice bar. They had a stand where you could get pupusas. The produce section had some unique items and the largest papayas and carrots I've EVER seen. The meat/poultry/fish section was well stocked but didn't look appealing to me, and smelled a little. They had some Colombian items such as the flour to make Arepas, and red vanilla soda. I bought a bag of the Peruvian beans to cook at home and they were delicious. There are some other random businesses within the store, such a clothing shop and insurance business but they were closed in the morning. They have a huge bakery with pastries, cookies and cakes. Watch out for lard if you want to avoid it in items such as conches (Mexican sweet bread). Even if you're not a normal shopper here, this is a fun excursion and for sure you'll find lots to buy!

Carnitas taco, beautiful detail on plate with sauce and radish

Food Quality 4/5 Service 4+/5 Ambiance 3+ the service by the staffed made this taqueria stand out Visited with friends for the @ConcordCA Taco Trail Challenge. This place was great. We popped in a group of 12 on Taco Tuesday. Every order made to order, fresh and presented lovely. We even bought a chicharron to share bites with the group. I would definitely return, buy pan dulce ( Mexican pastries) and buy the beautiful presented meats from their butcher. The group loved this p,ace and everyone said it's worth coming back.

Excellent supermarket with all kinds of fresh meat, seafood and produce. Aa nice clean store, well stocked and well organized. Friendly helpful service at the butcher section, where they are helpful and always happy to accommodate. Prices are excellent for their weekly specials too.

Tres leches cake slice- cajeta flavor

Review solely for the desserts we picked up and the service at check out: I came here for one thing and one thing only - something sweet. They have a whole selection of desserts on the side, as well as a whole glass case of baked goods. Not sure if it's a good or bad thing if the case is still stocked on a late Sunday afternoon though. I knew I wanted a slice of tres leches cake so I went to the cake counter. They have a large selection of tres leches cake slices- chocolate, cajeta (caramel), strawberry, coffee, etc, as well as flan and chocoflan but all the signs are in the wrong place. Also all the signs are in Spanish, so if you're not at least a little familiar with some Spanish, this might be a bit confusing for you. A nice employee came up to ask us what we'd like and I made my choices. She only spoke Spanish but ya girl knows a lil sum'n sum'n so it wasn't too difficult to get my point across. This employee was nice though, even with the communication barrier, and she handed over my cake, gelatin, and cup of arroz con leche (rice pudding for you gringos) to me and I happily headed over to the front register. The cashier at the register on the other hand was NOT nice or friendly. I greeted her hello and no response. We actually had no communication at all aside from, "do you want a bag?".. but that's okay, whatever. Even though the cake had milk leaking out of it, into the container, the cake itself was just dry.. In my mind, it was going to be fluffy, soft, and milky but the texture of the cake left a bit to be desired. I got the cajeta flavor so this had a nice thick layer of caramel in the middle which was delicious and not overly sweet. The whipped cream frosting on top tastes like the one that comes pre made in those big tubs.. so nothing to really say about that other than it's basic. It's thick and not overly sweet, but does nothing for the cake itself. For $5.99, you do get a fat slice but I wouldn't get this again as the quality wasn't there. The arroz con leche was also meh too. For $4, it could have been a lot better. Once again the quantity is there, but the quality just isn't. It was creamy and thick, but it semi had a coconut milk flavor which I usually would love but it just didn't work. Also, the rice grains weren't cooked well so they were a little dry and not soft. The cinnamon flavor was light, and the dessert itself not overly sweet, but another thing I wouldn't get again.

Steak breakfast burrito my azz. No eggs no meat?

Ordered a breakfast burrito with steak.. got a rice and bean burrito with no eggs and no meat on half and a few specks in the other half. $12 for this crap!

I don't usually write reviews, but after this experience I felt like I had to…read more I went to this Safeway to buy Orajel for pain relief because I've been dealing with a painful cut on my tongue that was healing slowly. The pain had gotten pretty bad. When I got to the shelf, the product was missing except for a sign that said, "Limited shelf stock, please see customer service." I went to the guest service area and waited patiently since nobody was there. After a few minutes, a woman came out of the office and asked, "Did you need something?" I explained that I was looking for Orajel and the sign directed me there. She responded by saying, "Oh no, this area is closed." Confused, I asked if she could still help me. She said no because she had the safe open in the office and told me I'd have to go to customer service, then went back into the office and shut the door. At that point, I was honestly stunned. I asked another employee nearby taking out the trash where customer service was, and he smirked and said, "That right there," pointing to where I was already standing. Normally I wouldn't make a big deal out of something like this, but I was in a lot of pain and felt like I was just getting the runaround. Thankfully, my girlfriend noticed the Orajel was actually locked behind the counter. Then an employee named Willy, who was working one of the registers, called out and asked if I needed help. Willy came over immediately, helped locate the product, logged into customer service himself, and tried to unlock the case.. but then the key actually broke off in the lock. At that point I was thinking, "You can't make this stuff up." Even after that, Willy still went above and beyond. He used a grabber tool to retrieve the product from the locked case, rang us up, and completely turned the situation around. I'm writing this review because Willy gave me some of the best customer service I've had in a long time after one of the most frustrating experiences I've had at a store. Huge shoutout to Willy! He's the only reason I'd come back to this location.

Came with my kid late night to get necessities, I was in self-checkout and next when the cashier…read moretold me it was closed. We go to the line. We're 4th and the cashier looked new and painfully timid. She was scanning each item and instead of sliding it down to the bagging area was carefully setting each item. I get the idea behind it but it wasn't realistic. I asked another associate if they could call more checkers and he said no. I wish I could remember his name because he said no, I waited 15 minutes only for them to open two lines, Mr. No being one of the people who started checking. You're supposed to take the next person in line and the ppl behind me dispersed like flies. The courtesy is gone these days amongst people, but it was Safeway's job to take the next person in line & not have employees deceive like that. Ms. Timid called for a Service 1(all available checkers to come) a few minutes after I asked. It frustrating to be lied to your face and to wait only for the people behind me to hop in line for two minutes but get checked out before us.
