LaSam Pho is a popular Vietnamese restaurant located on Sunrise Blvd by Antelope Rd in Citrus Heights. Servers are alert to acknowledge you and try to seat you ASAP once a table becomes cleared. They do check on you if you need anything. Excellent service for a photo restaurant. There are 6 tables for 4 and another 6 tables for 2, but those are arranged as two tables next to each other, so it could function as 3 tables of 4 as an alternative seating arrangement (labeled Tables 8-10). You could feel like you're sharing your table at Tables 5-10. I didn't see a Table 1. Napkins, chopsticks, forks, and spoons in holders on table. I ordered the Special Beef Pho Bowl, which is on the 1st page of the menu presented like a children's storybook. It comes with a Back Rib, which requires use of hands and teeth to break it into bite-sized pieces. I could have used a knife. Broth is tasty as is. Bean sprouts, basil, jalapeno, and lemon provided. Sauces on table include soy sauce, fish sauce, hoisin sauce, sriracha, and chili paste. I would only use soy sauce or fish sauce if you want more salt. I felt sriracha and hoisin overpowered the broth. I also ordered a Grilled Pork Bahn Mi Sandwich to go. Bread is soft. It is hollowed out on one half to make space for the meat. Enjoyable the next day if you keep it airtight in the fridge. I felt like regular customers were ordering all sorts of different menu items around me. I saw meat rice plates and thought I heard many appetizer orders: spring rolls, egg rolls, shrimp dumplings, etc. I would order the Bahn Mi again and try different dishes next time. Fun menu.

Fantastic service! So friendly and welcoming. One lady running her butt off and making it happen! Very clean and cute inside. Food was great. We got the spring rolls with pork. It was the thin sliced cold pork from what they usually put in the pho. I like the grilled pork or pork sausage better BUT the sauce they brought over with it made it SO good no matter! It's a big order so be prepared. Bah Mie sandwich was really tasty. Last we got a beef/ shrimp stir fry with fresh veggies and thick noodles. Loved the sauce! Almost a tomato flavor? So good! Definitely would order all again. Maybe a shrimp in the spring rolls. I want to try the shaken beef! We'll be back!

Food is bland, no flavor in the pho. I paid $44.00 for a kids chicken pho sub with cabbage instead of noodles, a regular chicken pho and potstickers. The broth was not hot, it tasted like water, and the worst part is there was very little protein. Do recommend ordering to go. Disappointed and wasted my money.

Very good pho! The broth was good. I also ordered the pork egg rolls which were good too. I loved the spicy sauce they served with the egg rolls. My friend ordered tofu spring rolls, but she saw a small piece of hair in it. :\ We told our server who apologized profusely and made her a new order. The server was very friendly. Prices are a little higher than other Vietnamese restaurants, but I think it's worth it for the pho.

The pho was really good! Very clean broth flavor on its own, although I always add sriracha. I ordered the eggrolls were nice and crispy and the sauce was tasty, perfect amount of spice. The special beef pho was so good. They were generous with the toppings. It was supposed to come with beef balls but my bowl didn't have any. No big deal maybe they forgot maybe they were out. The service was a little slow but it's a small family restaurant that was really busy with dine ins and to go orders so be patient and understanding! Super sweet lady and daughter working together! They were nice and kept apologizing but they did amazing! It's a clean and small little spot.

Best option for authentic Vietnamese in the area! I grew up in the San Jose area, and was very lucky to have tons of exposure to this cuisine (which is also now my favorite). Met up here with high school friends for a casual lunch hang and catch up. Beef rib pho had tender meat, well-seasoned clean broth, and the usual trimmings. Grilled pork appetizer and shaking beef were well-marinated and tender. Really enjoyed how well-run this place is and would love to go back soon.

Small, welcoming restaurant with very friendly staff--you can tell it's family-owned. Service was quick and attentive. Shrimp spring rolls were a good size with a rich, tasty peanut sauce. Grilled pork vermicelli bowl had huge portions; the pork was slightly overcooked, but the vinegar sauce helped balance it. Overall, I'd definitely recommend giving this spot a try and look forward to trying other dishes next time!

A solid option for pho in this area. Meat, broth, and noodles were all fresh and flavorful. Seating good for smaller groups but they might be able to put tables together if you have more than 4-5 people. Service is quite friendly but it can take a minute to get your food if it's busy. We came on a rainy weekend and waited 20min for our first order to arrive. Prices are a little above average but not outrageous. Strip mall parking.

This restaurant is hidden in a complex. You can miss it if you're not paying attention. I was a bit surprised to have a book made out of pictures as the menu. This is different from the online menu so I was able to order my veggie pho. It was savory and enjoyable. I was quite disappointed they didn't bring out my shrimp rolls as appetizer and my friend had to remind them to bring it. I ordered a pork chop with egg to go for my husband. My friend found a hair deeply lodged in her beef bowl pho. Although she got another soup to go, unfortunately I won't be returning here. The sauce with the French bread was pretty good.

Not being a local - we were so happy to stumble upon LaSam Pho! Divey and family owned vibe keeps it cozy... The food was very tasty - and the service was wonderful! It felt like we had been regulars and they were so kind and understanding with the mess my toddler made at the table. The shaken beef sunny side up egg with french bread is a must and so is their special bowl pho with the big beef rib! Only thing is I wish they put less ice in my vietnamese coffee because I didn't get much coffee and got more ice. Spring rolls were great sized and also had a tasty peanut sauce that fit the bill! Overall this was a yummy vietnamese spot found in a place we were unfamiliar with. So glad the locals have this gem and yummy goodness to satiate their vietnamese food hankering!

Customer service is above and beyond. They like to give 100% into their food and service. Got the chicken pho and it is delicious the soup base was perfect noodles were great. Finally got around to trying this place after a friend told me about their xiu mai (meatballs in tomato sauce). Thuy greeted me when I walked in and was super sweet. I went with the beef pho and meatballs with French bread. The pho was so flavorful--I just added a little sriracha, lemon, bean sprouts, and jalapeños. The broth was rich and comforting. The baguette was perfectly toasted--crispy on the outside and soft inside. The meatballs were tender and went great with the bread, and there was plenty of sauce to dip or stuff into the bread for a mini sandwich. What really stood out was how warm and attentive Thuy and Steve was with everyone. I mentioned my friend had recommended the place and described them, and she actually remembered them and their order--which was so cool. Steve came out from the back to chat too. I told them I came specifically for the meatballs since not many places have them, and they were both genuinely excited to hear that. It was such a positive and refreshing experience. The food and their kindness felt like a warm hug. Definitely coming back!

Seated and served quickly with a party of 4. I got the regular beef pho and this is the best pho I've tasted so far from the Bay Area to Sacramento. The broth is very flavorful compared to a lot of others that usually taste the same from one another. The restaurant is nice and clean. read more

We got to try the new pho restaurant in the area. One of the first things we noticed was how incredibly clean this restaurant was. We were greeted with a warm welcome by manager, Jamie and the staff. We ordered beef phở and vegetarian phở. The noodles were cook to perfect, soft and tender. The broth were so rich and flavorful. With each sip, I can taste the herbs and spices and the crunch of bean sprouts and basil leaved so fresh. The portion size of the bowls of phở here will have you leave the restaurant in a long-overdue food coma. A bowl of phở is a simple meal, yet a king of calm. This is a relatively new pho restaurant in the area, it's now one of our go-to-restaurant. The environment is family-friendly and we had a enjoyable experience here. I moved in Sacramento 3.5 yrs ago. I have been searching for a good pho place. I was beginning to worry I won't find any. Have tried so many here, and their broth just taste like water to me. On a cold rainy day you need a hot delicious bowl of pho. Let me tell you, this place delivered! We ordered the special beef pho, spring rolls, and shaken beef with bread. The food was amazing. The pho tasted like my mom's pho. The staff is so friendly and very attentive. The food came out so fast, which was nice because I came here with my toddler and if you're a parent, you know you have a 30 min window to eat before their patience run out. I chose the stir fried egg noodles with pork. My wife ate the LaSam pho combo and my son ordered the grilled beef short ribs. Fresh and flavorable are the words that best describe these entres. We each thought this was the best Vietnamese food that we've had. Though this is a Vietnamese restaurant, they serve American-sized portions. It is well worth the visit. read more

Friendly service & clean. Place is on smaller side but still a nice atmosphere. Beef vermicelli noodle bowl was ok. The noodles were a little on the hard side, like maybe made earlier & wasn't as fresh. Sauce for it was ok. The egg roll in it was really good, crispy, crunchy, & flavorful. Beef pho was about as good as you can get on Stockton Blvd S.Sac if not slightly better. Chilli oil is like fresh chilli with oil. Not sure if they have fried chilli oil as we didn't ask. Spring rolls were rolled tightly & didn't break apart. Slight smaller than other places but if ordering other foods also then it's just perfect cause sometimes other places is too much noodles but here is just the right proportion noodles, meat, & veggie. White strawberry refresher was very crisp. Sprite or 7up mixed with strawberry & a hint of maybe condensed milk. Probably more refreshing if it was summer. Swing by & check 'em out! read more

Just tried this place on memorial day. Food was awesome, the grilled pork was cooked and flavored just right, spring rolls were delicious! Won tons were too small to not over cook. Service was great. One of the better Pho type restaurants. Meat was lean. Most Phos we have tried serve up fatty meat. This is one of the better cuts of meat served in my opinion. We will be back !! Best pho I've had in Sacramento in a while. Chili oil is actually spicy and the staff were so pleasant and nice. They're so small that you can have such a peaceful conversation and dinner. They really have made a reoccurring customer. This is my first time I felt I needed to give a place a review and I want people to go but I'm also indifferent because I don't want them to be packed lol. Phenomenal work guys. The food is delicious and they give a good amount of pork. I usually go to abc pho but I've noticed they have been putting less pork. This is the perfect amount and the flavor is amazing it's not too chewy or fatty. It's also hot which I appreciate. The owner is so sweet I'm glad I tried it out. I do recommend new menus to make it more appetizing. The pictures on the menu does not do the food justice so don't hesitate to order. read more

Just had lunch here today for the first time and loved loved loved it! I had the spring rolls which had both meat and shrimp that was fat, full and fresh plus the peanut sauce was tasty, nothing out of a bottle, or if it was, it was great quality along with an iced coffee that was super yummy. Husband had the combo pork and shrimp vermicelli bowl. It was huge, the meat was exceptionally tender and tasty, along with a nice crispy egg roll. The establishment was bright and airy, and very clean. The person waiting on us, the owner I assume was very attentive, the food arrived fast and the quality was very good. Absolutely will be back and highly recommend this place,,, plus I am so happy to have so great quality Vietnamese food close by,, this town is sadly lacking in a variety of ethnic food establishments. We need more authentic places like this and less chains. Check them out you won't be disappointed. read more

This place opened only 2 months ago. Owner tells me he moved here from Seattle. Everything is fresh and new. Indoor seating areas are colorful and inviting. We ordered two versions of their signature beef pho and a grilled chicken on French bread sandwich to go. I called order in and it was waiting for us ready to go when we arrived. Everything was fresh and of good quality. Soup and sandwich were both delicious. We enjoyed everything very much. I wish the owner all success with his new business.
