Latitudes is a favorite for us. We drive 30 minutes to eat here. All of the dishes I've tried are delicious but the fish and chips is still my number one dish I drive out for. It melts in your mouth. Stopped by Saturday evening with a party of 7. I want to add that I love when places have the service where it sends a reminder of your reservation/when table is ready via text. We headed to the bar as the table was getting prepared. Plenty of seats available around 7pm. It was quite loud, but bearable. We were greeted by Braxton. He was very polite, super attentive and all around awesome! He made our short wait pleasant with good conversation. The drinks he made were also delicious. After 15 minutes at the bar, we head over to seat ourselves at our table. We are immediately greeted by our waiter, unfortunately I do not remember his name. We started off with another round of drinks and a few appetizers. Oyster rockefeller, calamari and hellfire shrimp. They were all really good and a decent portion size. The seasoning for the calamari was bland, but the sauce that went with it was pretty good. After finishing off the appetizers, we get around to ordering entrees. I went with the mahi rockefeller, the two scratch sides I chose were creamed corn w/ bacon and cheddar jalapeño hash. It did not take long at all to receive our orders. The plating was nice and I was happy with the portion size for the price. I loved the jalapeño hash, wished it was more on the spicy side and that fresh jalapeños were used, not pickled. Two downsides... the mahi tasted just a little too salty for my liking and when I ordered my olive branch martini, it did not come with the blue cheese stuffed olives as stated on menu. Horrible customer service. The waitress drops ketchup all over my daughter's sweatshirt and jeans. All over them. They give us a couple of napkins to clean up. We're all super mad and the manager never came over to check on us. No discount was given, no offering to help clean or a free dessert. These are pretty standard offers when I used to work at a restaurant. And to top it off, they include their 20% gratuity all bills. So, they got full price for our meals, the waitress got her 20% and I'm throwing away my daughters new blue jeans with a stain on the lap. read more

The wait time to be seated was excessively long 2 hours when we were initially quoted a wait time of 15 to 20 minutes. In this environment of being short staffed the restaurant should consider going to reservation only for all patrons, or reservations for parties of 6 or more, and ensuring that their hostesses provide the right wait time. read more

Thank the saints for our waitress, because without that poor struggling woman, we might have just walked out. I won't claim I've never been anywhere with service that slow, because I have, but it's painfully obvious that the restaurant isn't staffed to handle any kind of crowd and neither the bar nor the kitchen was moving with any sort of urgency all evening. The meal took over two hours, and the only thing that showed up promptly was my coffee [and water refills] because I am Quite Certain, it was the one thing our poor benighted waitress could do on her own without waiting for someone else to fix it first [We're 99% certain she's too young to mix alcohol]. The crowning moment after an absolute slog of a meal was when we inquired about a dessert menu and the waitress offered one she'd hand-written [I added a photo for reference] with the shy admission that there were only about three total in the restaurant and she didn't think we wanted to wait for one to be found [impressive initiative, really, I appreciate her solution and she frankly needs a raise]. Management ought to be ashamed. I will grant that the food is usually tasty. We enjoyed the crab dip, the calamari, and the scallops, but the au gratin potatoes with my dish were dry, the stuffed fish my friend ordered were the smallest, saddest portion we'd ever seen [smaller than the same dish from a previous visit], and my cocktail was weak and boring and warm. I've been places with trash service that I give a pass because the food's perfect, but this was disappointing. We're not going back to this location. One of my favorite places for fresh seafood!!! This place has a wonderful atmosphere with great staff. The food is always fresh and well prepared. They have many price point options, and honestly, you can make a meal out of their appetizers. They advertise they have the best happy hour in town, and deserve that title, in my opinion. It's 3-6:30 with great deals. They have half off all glasses of wine and craft beers (of which they have a great selection of rotating taps of local and not so local brews). Additionally they have $6 appetizers. If you need a space for a larger group happy hour I highly recommend them as well. They'll allow you to reserve the large high top community style tables for your party for no cost (although they hold it for $10, but will credit your card the day of your event). This place never disappoints me. Go for happy hour. Go for dinner.... Just go! You won't regret it! read more

Came for a birthday dinner treat from two very special ladies in my life. Everything on the menu we ordered was delish! The waiter was attentive and did a great job suggesting food we should try. The calamari was amazing! My only gripe were the flies! Yes, for some reason there were pesky flies everywhere. We started to ask to be seated outside but didn't because it was a hot summer day and we just covered our food with napkins. *Yes, this place has an outside seating deck. (Directly across from Eggspectations). The other thing i noticed, it was an extremely loud atmosphere. We had to talk loud to hear each other. Overall I'd return because the food was so so good. Had brunch here on a Sunday. Mildly busy with plenty of tables available and no waiting. I loved the Maryland Crab Benedict!! The hashbrown casserole could have used a little zip and was really bland in the end. But to be honest, very pricey for this dish. The brunch items were actually very limited. Some omelets and some eggs Benedict selections. The service was good, better than the three stars I am rating the overall experience. We went to the Midlothian restaurant for a "special" birthday dinner. It wasn't very special. First, my husband made it a point to get there before the rest of us specifically to let the waitress know it was a big birthday for his wife. She never offered anything special or even wished me a Happy Birthday. I had a dozen red roses in front of me so it wasn't like something was going on. Then we were told that they no longer included salads with dinners. Of course we were welcome to order one for an extra price, really?? It took forever for our food to be delivered and then it was lukewarm. If you wait that long for your meal at least they can deliver it while it's hot!! Will NOT return to this restaurant. Happy Hour pricing VERY deceptive. Was part of party of 10. Ordered glass of wine on arrival after being told by waiter happy hour pricing 50% off regular pricing. Ordered two additional glasses during happy hour for same reason. When I received bill, wine was full price, so inquired about it. Waiter spoke to manager then came back and informed me that the wine I ordered was not included on happy hour list. Was specifically discussed with waiter prior to initial order.. Did not argue but will NEVER return to either of their locations in Richmond. Food and drink service also incredibly SLOW. Also, ordered wedge salad as one of two sides that "was included" with stuffed flounder meal. Surprised to learn they upcharged $8 for the salad. POOR!! read more

We arrived around 6:15 on a Tuesday and was seated on the patio immediately and just in time for happy hour which ends at 6:30. There was a singer there and the vibe was loud but I was celebrating my birthday and so we're lots of others out there so that made it fun. The singer let us pick a song and he even sang happy birthday. What a fun evening. Now for the food. I had the grilled shrimp, side Caesar salad and Brussels sprouts. She had the grilled scallops, corn and broccoli. We also had a side of corn fritters and started off with the fire shrimp. Everything was delicious. Made a 6pm reservation and arrived a few minutes early. The host staff told us the only table available is a small table infront of the door and host stand. We asked for a more private table away from the door and host stand, and were told we'd have to wait at least 20 minutes or we could take a 1st come 1st serve table at the bar, which we did. Visited on Saturday evening at 6:30. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait for a table, but were seated after 10 mins., which was a nice surprise. However, service was very slow from getting someone to take our orders through the delivery of the check. One entree was supposed to be tuna steak. Came to the table as regular steak with different sides. Replaced with correct entree and sides relatively quickly. The dining room was very noisy, which was tough for conversation. Food taste was less than expected and time we spent there was too long for what we ordered. Very disappointing on this visit. read more

Wonderful happy hour specials! We ordered the hellfire shrimp, calamari, and salmon dip. We were most impressed with the hellfire shrimp and salmon dip. The calamari was great but nothing special. Based on the number of apps we ordered (we were excited about the happy hour specials!) we decided to order the stuffed flounder and split it. It was packed with flavor. Disappointing. I'd expected great things based on prior reviews but terribly disappointed in both food and service. "Lobster roll" was about 2 tablespoons of lobster shreds and a few bits of celery on a limp hot dog roll. I've gotten much more and better for half the price from a food cart in Portland, OR or even a sub shop in Maryland. Ridiculous - and way overpriced for what it was. Service was slow and unhappy. Overall, couldn't wait for my companion to finish so we could leave and get on with our day. Haven't been back. read more

The hostess with was rude. The food was average... seafood imperial dip was dry and over cooked, the shrimp and grits was really gritty not smooth and overly salted and the wings were average. When the grits were mentioned to the staff they explained they were country grits. No apology! Clearly this is not my first time having grits and I understand the texture. This used to be a great place to eat. Now the food quality and taste is subpar like eating at Red Lobster. The menu had twice as many items and the wine list was amazing. Now there are a handful of cheap wines and one or two good ones. It is so disappointing that the owners have forgotten what makes a great restaurant. The servers were pleasant, but that's where the good part ends. I took my husband here for a special occasion. Took forever to get my husband's soup. We asked for bread and 10 minutes later, we were served crusty little Melba toast sized pieces of sliced bread that had some sort of oil on it, no butter. Twenty minutes later, we still hadn't gotten our entrees. When the food finally arrived, all of it was ice cold, dripping in oil. The crabcakes weren't even fully cooked through. Both of our plates were taken back to the kitchen. Fifteen minutes later, we gave up, paid for our bread and awful soup, and left. So this was my first time coming here! We tried to set a reservation after 5 but they told us they don't take reservations after 5 but then they called back and took our reservation so that was kind of weird and still not sure but I appreciated it. So when we showed up for our reservation they stuck four of us at a pretty small table while all the booths were filled with two people couples. I was pretty annoyed at how cramped I was but I didn't see anywhere they could have sent us otherwise. As for the food I really liked their lobster bisque. It was delicious. And I really liked their lobster grilled cheese it was pretty high quality and tasty. Boyfriend got fish that he really liked and his parents got something else I can't remember what it was but they liked it too. Amazing food, horrible service! One person at our table never got their salad, 2 people at our table didn't get their side dish until halfway through dinner (one of them ended up being cold and got sent back), and they forgot to bring out one of our desserts. This place has my votes! Not too noisy, just right for conversation. We visited on a Sunday and they played the football games which had the crowd entertained! The food was great.
